Ahhh! Our beautiful R&B princess! 👑 I loved Aaliyah so much. She had such a sweet sound! It will be 20 years ago this August that we lost her! Still get sad when I think about her tragic end. Gone way way too soon. Her awesome music lives on forever! Check out “Try Again” “Are You That Somebody” “Rock The Boat” “At Your Best” “Back and Forth” “More Than A Woman” “We Need A Resolution.”
It’s so hard to believe that some people never heard Aaliyah’s music before, to where wonder if they’re telling the truth or if they heard her before & just didn’t know a name to put with what you heard. However you saying you just started listening to R&B a couple of months before this video makes me think you may be telling the truth albeit mind blowing because I LOVE R&B & it’s literally one of the main pulses to black people’s music I’ve seen a few 1st time Aaliyah reaction videos & this one is my favorite so far! 😂😂 The way you pretty much instantly fell in love with the track, her voice, her beauty, & then became protective of her is HILARIOUSLY cute! 🤣 Yes she had that effect on many! Wait till you see/hear more of her music & real videos. Interviews of her. You’re absolutely be in love! 😂💯She’s such a beautiful person inside & out! We miss her immensely! Aaliyah forever ~/.\~♥️
This song was EVERYTHING at the time. Since everyone has already told you about Aaliyah, I will say that beat you love so much is Timbaland, and you see cameos from him, Missy Elliot, and Genuwine in the video. Thanks for doing this one!
She was so amazing. From all accounts she was the sweetest person you could ever meet. She was a beautiful singer, dancer, and was just starting to show promise as an actress. My 17 year old self was devastated when she passed away.
One of my favourite artists back in the day. Still love her music till this day. Such a shame she sadly passed away in a plane crash. She had so much more to give. RIP to such a beautiful and talented singer
This lady is what we call a triple threat. Such an amazing singer, dancer and of course actress.. pure raw soul.. Baby girl is the best of it all.. The world would certainly be different place if she was still among us. RIP Aaliah.. love her miss her xx
I remember this song came out when I was 23 or 24 and I was obsessed. I loved this song and her next singles until her death. I was devastated when she died! She was fantastic. She was set to be a superstar. If Your Girl Only Knew is my fav song from her.
I love Aaliyah she’s so beautiful as well as her voice this one of my faves ✨ Another one of my favorite song of hers is At your best there’s 2 versions of the song the remix one and the original one both are good but the original is my favorite cuz it’s more lovely ❤️

You have to react to her videos for “Are you that somebody?” “Try again” and “Rock the boat” which was the last music video she recorded in the Bahamas before her death which occurred not long after finishing production as she was leaving on plane from the Abaco Islands. She would literally be at the top of the charts, stream lists, billboard etc if she were still here today.

I just love Aaliyah and she is truly missed. I loved her music and her beats were great because of Missy Elliott and Timberland. One of my favorite songs is 4 Page Letter. Glad you finally listened to this very talented woman.
I admit: I didn't GET this when it was popular; and I was a teenager. I was very narrow minded back then. But I saw a documentary about Aaliyah years later, and started really appreciating her style. Her voice was so incredibly smooth, and effortless. And the beats, the rhythms, the sounds, the arrangements of her songs...very unique. She was such a talent. I indulged in a bunch of her albums shortly after discovering her. She'd have done so much fantastic music had she not died so young.
