The thing that bothers me is that she was helping Mike tease Sheila. “Sheila thought you’d like it” and then he says she set her up.. she was sleeping with her man knew he would think it was funny and set her up under the guise of friendship.. I would’ve been Angela in that situation
Let's be real here: Angela may have been all ova the place & arguin wit Marcus... But she was there for Sheila more than anybody other than Troy who treated her way better than Mike.
Janet won an NAACP image award for her performance in this and she deserved it
No she didn’t give a better performance than Tasha Smith.
That scene on the mountain top with Sheila and Troy and her pouring out her heart saying she feels like she's been hit by a car....in an interview Jill Scott (who was actually going through a divorce at this time) said that line wasn't in the script, it was actually how she felt....Wish you didn't have to relate so much to Sheila in real life but I hope you find your Troy!

I've seen this movie a bunch of times and I've always thought if that's how Mike feels about Sheila then why is he even with her ? Also Trina was sleeping with Mike while being a fake friend to Sheila. If this ever happened to a friend a mine I would've done what Angela did and just tell my friend to cut those 2 people out of your life and move on.

This movie gave me mixed emotions anger and sadness I felt so bad for Sheila and this movie taught me to be appreciative and grateful and it’s not hard to be with one Person and people do need to have better communication with they partner 💯
I’m not the biggest Tyler Perry’s fan but a lot of people would say best work is a family that preys.

To think that Michael died while Janet was filming this movie. Tyler put the whole production on hold so she could attend the services and grieve. I remember reading somewhere that she used that pain in her scenes.

GIRRRRL You thought some of the scenes in this movie was emotional, wait until you watch the sequel to this which is Why Did I Get Married Too? this movie was filmed around the time Michael Jackson had passed away and Janet's acting is phenomenal in that sequel at least to me it is i can't speak for anyone else but certain scenes in that movie you can really feel the pain, grief, anger, and rage she was able to display for her character.

Honestly, I love to both movies in this duology, but really, the framing device of the first movie as cases in a psychological study immediately makes that fall apart
This movie was pretty cool and I will say Tyler perry best work. Not the biggest Tyler perry fan and always found madea annoying but this and daddy’s little girl are solid.

After growing up I realized Terry was not a husband. In my opinion, although Diane was a terrible communicator so was Terry. Taunting your wife about her working habits is not proper communicating. He was giving controlling issues. If my job calls me and I’m sleeping or not around don’t answer it and then tell them to not connect me anymore. Also breaking my work phone because you’re having a tantrum is overdoing it. I know it’s a movie but realistically they should’ve never married.
The two things you pointed out, I DEFINITELY agree was too much of him to do BUT I will have to agree to disagree on the part of it being a more balanced issue?? I guess you could say lol Terry had every right to be mad at Diane imo.
