As if I needed another project in the shop....Here we go. I have had this truck longer than any of my previous vehicles. I truly love this 1952 Chevy 3100 aka Slammed 52. I have dreamed about doing an ls swap in this for years and today we take the first step in that process. The old motor or engine we are pulling out today is a 305 with a turbo 350 transmission. I will be reusing this in the 1954 Chevy Belair. I decided to use the purchased 6.0 and 4l60e transmission in the 1952 3100. Of course like all my other projects I want it to be a clean install and will be adding some other parts along the way. I have so much going on but we have to keep plugging away little by little. Once this engine is out we can get started on test fitting the new LS 6.0 and Transmission. Follow along as we chip away at this ls swapped 3100 Chevy. Cool love seeing a new project start! On painting that frame may i suggest what has worked for me in the past with great results, sanding the frame as best as you can then spraying it with Eastwood rust encapulator as your base coat then spraying it with Eastwood satin chassis black, I believe you will like the results so much better than using Por15.
I have been looking at that Eastwood stuff recently.

No playing around with that engine removal. A good TWA detailing under the hood is what it needs, remember it's an engine swap 😉. Love my GM products but was never a fan of the 305 engine. ✌🏻
305 is a good engine, just not fast or powerful.
