Paul the last time I checked this is your show build what you want to build !!!! No need to apologize !!
You’re right, it is his show and he can do whatever he wants to😂
Yup.
By the way, whats with the 55 Chevy?
@@stevez340 But so many people think he should stick to one project and go from start to finish and then move on. They are the ones that have never worked on things or had to stop a project to order more parts or wait for parts to show up. You work on what you can and move to something next while waiting on parts. This has the biggest problem with some of the car builders that had TV shows. The true timeline didn't match up with production of the TV shows and both got pissed off and so many left because it wasn't worth it.
Yeah Paul . Something like say maybe a jeepster or something.
He use to build stuff. Now he wears his backward and does burnouts.
"I thought you read the books for the articles" (followed by all the old guys knowing laughter) Bet Jace and Landon didn't even get it. 😂😂 That's old guy humor right there!
The dirtiest joke ever on Fab Rats. 😂
I was geeking. Yea them books were always bottom drawer of toolbox next to the cowboy killers
As a kid finding Dad's Play boy mags 'hidden' under their bed 😂 That was what he told us kids!
Yeah the kids didn’t have a clue on that one lol
Every time I see a belly button, I look for the staple!
Build what you want when you want too ! We watch for the people and the experience! And that is where your family shines !
Very true.
Amen
Exactly!! We see about 2-3 hours of your week. You've gotten yourself and family this far successfully, and did it long before UA-cam.
Shawn don’t leave Paul,., he needs you !!! ,. The channel needs you !
I can’t believe anyone complains about your projects. I love that you’re getting it done even though most of it’s just for fun. It doesn’t matter if you’re gonna crash it, race it, or modify it, you get a lot of stuff done!
It's the internet, you could give little a gold bar and they would complain that it was heavy and they didn't like the colour
I can’t believe, you can’t believe! The entire premise of these UA-cam channels is to promote comments!!
@@kennethbrown8723and? It's a business. I get entertained, make a comment and give it a like. It's an easy exchange and it allows this family to do what they love while making people happy. It's a win win.
Continue on enjoy the builds. Enjoy your family time with sons in the shop building stuff.
Here's a News Flash for all of the Hater's that are Running their Mouth about Paul Cox aka FabRats. When I was Struggling on my 98 Grand Cherokee ZJ 4x4. Paul Cox aka FabRats was always their for me whenever I needed Him the most. And with His Help He helped me so I could upgrade everything that I need to. And Paul continue's to inspire me to do as much of the work on it that I can do.❤❤❤❤
Glad to see Shawn in the shop
I agree. Going to miss hunter.
Yeah I’m happy to see Shawn
Does Shawn have his channel up yet!
I hope that Shawn stays at FabRats ❤❤❤❤
Any heavy fabrication takes time. The projects you get into are so random. That’s what makes your channel interesting to watch. As well as it is a family channel. Great stuff.
Maybe, its just a thought that you shouldn't apologize for the things you love to do!!!
Paul do the things that make you happy. 65 chevy truck, 55 chevy, the jeepster what ever it is. Parts are parts the parts dont magically appear. Keep doing what your doing!!
I can't believe how many peoples lives hinge on whether or not you finish a project. I'm down with whatever you do. It's always good content. Rock on
More projects means an endless supply of content... Paul, you do you, and we will come along for the entertaining ride!.. Thank you for sharing your life with us...
Ain’t nothing like watching fabrats at work. You build whatever u want Paul we’re just along for the ride
Any one who is or has worked in the automotive repair business knows , just because you order a part today doesn't mean it will be in tmrw. So my comment is, NICE!! carry on paul.
picture framer here
use to be twice a day delivery now twice a week
Australia
I'm on the other side of the industry, and it kinda hurts to know that so many parts take forever to get. I hate it.
Waited four months for my down pipe
I love when Michelle's "name that part is coming up! Her "down to earth" logic is hilarious...keep it on😂
A project is finished when the builder is satisfied that it is finished. So keep on building your projects. We love them.
Mr Paul myself I love the way you take old wore out scrap an give it a new life doing things it was never intended for
Myself I'd just love to have 3 on the tree six banger for grocerie getter
But you build what you think is best
All I can say is GO FABRATS
IN THE MODEL OF THE DAY THAT
MAKES YOURE SHOP SOME OF BEST ANYWHERE PERIOD
Ahh, the Caulin and Rudy Bug bit you hard.. They did a very nice job building Caulin's truck, you gotta give them that one.. Is this a case of "youth and skill will never beat old age and treachery??"
I was thinking the same thing, seeing Caulins truck got the gears turning in his head.
Paul, your to do list are written in stone. Chalk ( which is a stone ) . Makes for a fun time, that’s why it’s so much fun to watch and see if the viewers can keep up.
Go Jace, keep holding him to the instructions.
"I thought you read the book for the articles." Did not expect that from Paul but it was priceless!!!😂😂
Good to see the queen involved again!!
Yes !!! Michelle is back 👍🏻 (name that part) Great truck project Paul & clever patch quilt sis 🇺🇸✌🏻🫶🏻 TY
It’s no wonder why we love this channel, just a nice guy with a great garage full of tools 🧰 building vehicles that he likes.
Paul, content is content and variety ‘the spice of life’. Keep moving forwards it doesn’t matter what you are doing in reality. Jumping around the projects is ‘real life’ (I do that with my own stuff) it can depend on spare parts availability or decent weather to work outside (in my case) or in the shop/garage when the weather is pants. Your channel your rules.. Cheers from Scotland..
I remember you did a short video on your crane pole that you use to pull engines. Could you do another video explaining how you came up with this and how it works. Thanks for keeping us building NEW projects.😊
I love it when Michelle asks what was wrong with it 😂 Paul’s just making it cooler. Love you guys ❤
A true gear head never has a "Finished Project" I will forever be Dinking around on my projects probably never finishing them or that's how it would seem to other people.
Paul, this is the first video I’ve watched after the birth of my son. Seeing you and your boys working in the shop has been very inspiring. You and Shawn are awesome role models. Thank you for doing what you do!
Congratulations 🎉🎈. My very first vehicle was a 1965 C-10 short bed style side. It was green, I think they painted it with roller and brush’s and had a steel floor in the bed painted red. It was a 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree. I just did a little fixing on it because about 8 months later I special order a 1974 F-100 4x4 long bed. It was the ONLY Chevrolet I’ve owned.
The only one ? You didn't see the light after getting the Ford . All kidding aside both cool trucks and worth a bit more today if you still have them . PS we always called them Fleet side where I am from
@@Kevin-ti3rz and now the rest of the story. When I was looking for my first vehicle, my uncle that I worked for in the summer on his cattle ranch found me a truck but I wanted something newer. It was a 1957 Chevrolet 5 window, it was all original but smoked a little bit and the owner thought it was a sticking valve. Of course it was a plumbers truck and had what everybody wants now, the classic painted name on the door with the rusted patina. I think he wanted $500.00.
It’s one you need to have back :-)
@@Kevin-ti3rz I know where the 74 is but after living in the Midwest for 4 years before moving to the west the rust had done the damage. I gave up and sold it also with a lot of replacement metal panels. I sold it after owning it for 30 years. (1974 to 2004.).
@@MichaelKuczynski-u7o have no idea what happened to the 65. A man was waiting when I got home with the 74. Dropped the price, he gave me cash and drove off.
I'm pretty sure you could build an outhouse and people would still watch. Its how you know a good youtube channel, when it feels more like spending time with your friends then it does just watching a video.
They would watch and then tell him how to do it right next time!😁
She's right ! ... it's been a while since we've seen a "Name That Part with Michelle" ... glad to see it again!
So nice to see Shawn. Really enjoy seeing your family working together.
Cool truck the green and white will be really nice. No need to apologize I now understand somewhat how your mind works 😂 While waiting on parts and other factors you can still put out great content.
I am so glad to see Shawn back in the saddle I hope he can stay around for a while
I can't believe nobody has commented on the "I thought you read the books for the articles" comment. 😂 IYKYK.
and how they both giggled about it for a minute......
They always had great articles on melons.
I laugh pretty hard on that one!!
Have to wonder if any of the youngsters know what they are talking about
Lol I probably would have, thought it was funny . It's a very old saying that has been used lots in the movies.
Work on one project till you get bored or run out of parts. Then start the next one. It’s the best way to do it.
Thanks for taking us along.
Your channel is a hidden gem, glad I stumbled upon it!
Same comment every episode 😂
Jace really adds some humorous and spot on comments along the way.
When you set this race Merlin don't forget about Chad so he can bring Gonzo.
Your randomness in your projects is what keeps me coming back!
Lol, 6 of one and a half dozen of the other. I haven’t heard that in years, my grandpa used that term regularly.
My grandma said "six to one half dozen or the other"!
I'll bet you got a look at that truck Rudy and Collin are building and it got your creative juices flowing. Good luck on this one.
Seeing Rudy the other day lit a fire!
I grew up driving a 1965 Chevy step-side, inline six with "three on the tree". Watching this brings back great memories of that old truck. I'm with you Paul the fleetside looks way better. Will definitely be watching this transformation !!!
Bad news my ass- thats a great plan! Especially back to the factory color! I prefer the stepside personally, but I understand the desire for fleetside.
"I dunno if we should trust that strap"
Landon... Truer words have never been spoken lolol
"Jace, you just run the camera ". 😂
Name that part is one of my favorite segments on Fab Rats. Wish yall did this every week.
Jace and his comments are a riot. If he doubts Mom too much there is PB&J for many meals!! 😆😆😆😆
Jace's sarcastic commentary is a definite plus.
Paul is doing some serious upgrades to his '65 Chevy with rack and pinion steering and a new front structure. Nice to see 'short timer Sean and Hunter again for a little while. Michelle did her 'name that part'. I know what Paul means about not getting all of your order when they are shipped to you its a pain in the butt to get a hold of someone to tell you why it didn't ship!
Don't apologize for anything Paul. You're making content and we love it. Buddy of mine had a 63 step side in highschool that we had some good fun with.
Young Paul!!!! I won’t lie I had thought Paul was a lot younger than he actually is when he told his age the one video but then the boys are older but Ms.Michelle looks so young as well I’m like damn you have kids at 16 lol 😂 you guys are great to your kids and the content shows those boys love you guys! You’ve raised them right! Love the channel more footage of you guys from back in the day is always good content you should show more little 3 minutes clips from back in the day lol 😂 call it back to the future
I do believe this is the first time I have seen you install something (front axle assembly) without modifying it. Must be a pretty complete kit. Looks nice.
Love when Michelle can name the parts in whatever they’re working on
I don't care if the new project is painting your kitchen. I'll watch and give it a like😊!!!
WHAT THE HECK!! Matt (Matt's Off Road) is saying he's going to start measuring things, Paul's reading directions? Is this the return of the body snatchers? Is it the apopowlips? (😅🤣Apocalypse )
The more projects, the more content to keep us happy! I still like seeing Shawn in the shop, I wish he would stay! Keep up the great content! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Where is little shop kitty? We have missed him.
Didn't Socks make a cameo about 3-4 Vida back?
He's probably on the clock chasing a mouse somewhere.
Being a builder myself sticking with one project can get old. Bouncing around/multitasking helps allot. Keep on keeping on, love the builds. Look forward to seeing you guys at Mount Carmel😊
That's how those of us with dyslexia go through life.😂
Beautiful truck. I miss my '69. One of those retrospect moments when I realize I should have NEVER got rid of it. Thank you for sharing
I love NAME THAT PART !!!! My wife is the same way !!!
Hey Paul, this is Paul from Western Massachusetts. Haven’t talked in a while, but I should’ve been watching your shows. I had a three disc fusion in my back so now I’m recovering. I like your show because you’re always doing something different and you’re doing what you wanna do not what your people want you to do so don’t apologize to us. Just keep building doing what you do. I got out there once to visit you unfortunately you’re on vacation, but I’m the only pen in Western Massachusetts on your map. God bless.
Do not listen to the tiny minority of people who think you're a performing circus monkey just for them.... Do you and continue your killer content. Even us Ford lovers will still be here. =))
Just love watching whatever project you’re working on. You can have as many projects as you want. I know I have more projects than I can work on at once.
I drove a three on the tree in high school and college when I met Scott and I’m so mad at you for messing with the three in the tree when they are now pretty much extinct!! Dang it Paul ruining perfectly good trucks 😃
When I was overseas in the military, we had a Ford van with a five on the tree. Nobody could drive a stick, much less a five on the tree. I was right at home, since I grew up on vehicles with three on the tree.
You have to step away from some projects to reboot the brain for ideas......I do it all the time. I have 3-4 on the go always...EDIT. good to see Sean still kickin around.
More projects = more better, right? Everyone always tells me more is better so run with it!
You could assemble post hole diggers, and it would still be a great video! Ignore the haters and keep on rolling. Was great to see Michelle also. Family makes this channel great!
Who's the new guy?
I find it satisfying that you guys pressure wash stuff before digging in. There are many channels that I want to scream at them to do that!
We can thank Rudy and Collin for this truck build. That c10 they built is sick. I can't wait to hear this truck with a Whipple on it.
No such thing as too many projects! Hit a dead end/run outta parts/get bored/lose inspiration, jump to another project! And so on... Just keep making cool videos and we'll watch 'em. Always interesting!
What a great project, taking a gift from your wife and you and you're boys turning it into a work of art . Love the sound of children in the clip when you gave Paul the truck ,one can only suspect it was Landon and Jayce 🙏😁
Like others have stated, the variety of your content keeps us coming back. I for one love the "new" project!
I also love the Name that part with Michelle segments, keep em coming!
Very cool '65 truck for sure, it's going to be a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, Michelle is fun...she rocks, always.
Content idea (if you or someone else haven't thought about it). You've done the sand rail mob extravaganza, the school of jet ski adventure.. what about a dual sport gang ride? You guys have bikes, mix it up! Digging the c10
Do as many projects as you want. A true fan watches every episode. Love your show.
I known y’all hate hearing about the Jeepster, but I am still looking forward to seeing it being done. I love those silly things and I want to see your vision.
I’m sure this is going to handle like a dream, but I did mine on the cheap!! I put on the 73-82 GM pickup front end which bolts right in sans two bolts on frame close to the firewall. Most people will just bolt on the power steering gear but that throws off the steering geometry! In order to keep equal movement the gear needs to mount flush on the frame which means you need to make a relief cut, then bolster that area to stop flexing. I completely rebuilt the front end and my truck drives like a dream!
Project going in the right direction, making me miss my old chevy trucks, had a '64,'65, and a '66, the '64 was my favorite one out of the bunch, nick named it the fish, because when I stomped the gas it liked to wag its tail lol
My brothers and I all learned how to drive in my dads 65 C10. It had manual brakes and manual steering with a compound low 4 speed, a canopy that you couldn't see out of, and large side mirrors. Once you learned how to drive and park it, you could just about drive anything. That truck with over 100k miles on it didn't have a single rattle. Very good trucks.
I bet you the tailgate chains rattled! I have a 64 short bed for about 35 years now. I also grew up with a 65 long bed that was our farm truck
No no no Paul what are you thinking, please leave the BACK WINDOW THE WAY IT IS. That's one of the things that made those trucks great. Also you should have left the STEP SIDE. Dude those 65 Step Side Trucks were AWESOME. Anyway there's my plea lol. Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
Paul at least Michael comes in your shop. I can't get my wife to even walk by mine ❤.
God Bless Everyone ❤. Stay safe 🙏
Bottle that ,it's a Bonus isn't it ?
@@thatdave86
I'm definitely not complaining
I had a 64 6 cyl. 3 on the tree. Drove it for 3 years ( mid 70’s) I drove it 100 miles to work (one way) 6 months. She was getting a little tired, smoked. So I sold it, wished I hadn’t. It was simple easy to work on, but driving to work or staying at job renting a room. Didn’t have time nor a place to work on truck. It even had a diamond pleated seat. Miss that ole truck! Make it new again. You can do that to Golden Nugget you can do it for yourself !!
Love it . Rudy's visit has got you all motivated . This is going to be so cool
Take your time and jump around with the builds. It's realistic. Fun to see an artist at work.
This old fella will never complain about anything you all do. Love your channel and your wonderful family. Will be watching as long as I possibly can
Gonna miss Shawn! Love the randomness of the channel. It keeps it fresh.
My hats off to the people who engineer these kits those people are really sharp. It is six in a row.Jim from Kennerdell PA
We will watch you start a new project every episode! They will all be done one day and we will still be watching!
once had a 1965 chevy long bed truck loved that thing , had a 292 straight six ,drove it for a couple of years once the points were worn out but she still ran until we checked after a trip in the back country as you would say my old man just shook his head when we looked at the points there was holes in them, he couldn't believe we did not break down ,finally i sold it the engine was going through oil reason and had some piston slack ,not having the money to change out the motor, thats almost 50 years ago , i really have a soft spot for the 1965 chev pickup
You could tell you were very excited when you saw the RAD truck 😍 no wonder you're starting this project now 😊
Cool truck. I think one of the best parts about the channel is when you include Michelle. 👍
Had a 65 GMC step side, light grey , 305 wedge head, 4 speed, dump box with snow plow, 2 wheel drive posi rear end, Ioved that truck
Michelle, I have worked in TV for 33 yrs., You're a great editor. Let Jase try to edit... Name the buttons. lol We love y'all in Nashville TN.
That was a cute inside joke about reading the books for the articles. You three older guys got a good laugh out of that remark!
The thing I like about your channel is Paul. No two episodes are the same old boring UA-cam channel where the work on the same car. You never know what to expect with you guys. Also, I always have a laugh when you play, Name that part with Michelle.
Paul, my grandpa had a green and white one like that. His was a automatic. I grew up riding in that truck. I keep saying I'm going to get one because that's the one vehicle I really want to have. It don't have to be perfect at all. Grandpa's bed floor was rotten wood. But I would do anything to find his old truck. I'm sure it probably ended up in a junk yard somewhere. He sold it it 82. I can't wait to watch you build this truck.
