Desk setup looks really nice btw, i like the screen, im also living in ultrawide, the pc looks awesome, the mood lighting is fantastic for my eyes, nice orange tones mmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... all in all it's a nice clean setup. props for the plants!! i use plastic plants on my desk and real ones on the window pane. Good luck bro!
One question did you just put the table top with out any type of drilling or you used some thing to stick to the drawers ? Or possibly you just let it rest since it’s heavy and it shouldnt be a problem ? I’ll appreciate it if you let me know great video👍🏻
@@jamesle9851 You can just lay it on. It is heavy enough, get some rubber to stick on there and it should be solid. I'm doing this desk build right now with a 74" and 98" tabletop.
@@vaporlockgaming5298 Yep! Me being paranoid I bought velcro, double sided tape, and everything else I thought I would need to secure it. When I finished assembling and laid the top on the drawers, I came to figure gravity and weight does 99% of the job. The anti slip things would suffice to my needs. I actually prefer it like this because I can easily adjust, modify, or just move without a hassle.
Hey great video, I love your desk! I know it's been a couple years now, but I'm currently looking at doing this same setup. Have you had any sagging with the desk?
Is the Alex and Karlby combo WITHOUT the leg stands still too high for shorter people? 5'6 or shorter? Just wondering would a KARLBY and HELMER combo work? Helmer is 26" high without castors but would 2 of these support the Karlby?
Question for anyone who has the black/brown IKEA Alex drawers. I was thinking about getting 2 of these, but when I saw them in the IKEA store, they looked brown. Not even close to black. Is this set actually black? Or is it like a dark brown that has a very clear brown tint. It HAS to be black for my desk setup or it will look stupid.
I saw that you have something that looks like mini legs between the tabletop and the alexes? Is it to prevent the table top from sliding? And if you don't use them, will the tabletop slip a lot?
Hi! Those rubber things come with the Alex units, not sure how it would be without them but I also like the extra bit of height it gives. I imagine if you have enough weight on top it shouldn't slide much anyways.
First of all hey:) quick question, is the desk sturdy? I mean, does it shake when moving the mouse while paying or shake when typing? And how did it hold up in this 2 months since you have it? Did it sag? I will really appreciate if you'll answer because I'll buy the exact setup today if you can help out with this questions :)
Hi! It's super sturdy, no shaking at all and it hasn't sagged one bit. Note there is a longer version of this desk and if you get that you will need a leg in the middle. But not with my one. Enjoy the new setup :)
Thank for responding, hearing this got me thinking about getting this setup because it's the cheapest option, it looks great and if you say that it's sturdy it's definitely a good option :)
Your backlighting is awesome. Inspiring me to pick that up someday. Thanks for another great video!
Cheers! It's a game changer :)
Congrats for 2.03K Subscribers!
Since you hit 1K, your Channel has been growing up really Fast!
Thanks man, yeah it's been crazy!
honestly when I saw this thought it was a 100k+ channel. I am going to get the karlby countertop in the 246cm version. STUNNING setup, love it!
Have the exact same desk . You should look into a monitor arm. It will free up some space and some of them are decent at hiding cables

Thanks! I've been there, used to have a desk almost half as long as this one :)
Loving the Granit Snus
Haha it's definitely a part of my productivity :)
Did you screw table top and drawer together or glue them, or just put them on and leave them?

Is the saljun countertop worth it, it seems cheaper and it's particle board
has the desk warped since getting it?
how you mount karlby on alex?
How long is the table? 186cm?

what size is your monitor in this video
Is this the 74 inch or 98 inch Karlby?
Sir....
What are the dimensions of the gaming table...I wanna build the same.........???
Hi! The length is 186cm and depth 65cm and thickness 3.8cm
Does the IKEA Karlby Desky sag?
I bought two Alex drawer cabinets and a 186 cm wide Karlby countertop. If there is no foot in the middle, will it sag?
Hi! I don't think it will sag with the 186cm top, the longer one maybe would. Mine hasn't had any yet :)
@@Revolve-Studios any updates on this situation?
@@Ahmadavocado Nope still all good!
How do you fix the drawers to the desk?
Hi! They're not fixed, the desk rests on some small silicon/rubber bits which you stick to the drawers. But it doesn't move around at all.
@@Revolve-Studios excellent - thanks for the reply and great vid & setup
@@Revolve-Studios are these rubber bits included with the desk or drawers?
What is the depth on that countertop?
Hi! It is 65cm, I wouldn't mind it to be a bit deeper but it is the standard depth for kitchen counter tops.
@@Revolve-Studios ok they got a 42 inch and a 26 inch
@@DirtyDanF117 42 inch much better
