Exploring Abandoned 1950's Isolation Hospital for children and adults (time capsule)

  • Sitting atop a hill is an enormous hospital complex with a grim history. In the previous century, an infectious disease called tuberculosis spread like wild flower infecting millions. Property's like this were constructed with the purpose of treating patients with fresh air and oxygen treatments. Today we'll be exploring multiple buildings, the first will be the children's Hospital. Inside we'll find baby cribs, toys and medical equipment. The other buildings will be for adult patients. Inside these next trio of buildings is a time capsule of medical history. Eventually in the late 20th century the TB vaccine became worldly available, and uses for these greatly constructed hospitals came to an end. When closing, they left everything behind and decades later we go inside to document what remains. If you enjoy the video, leave a thumbs up and subscribe for more exploring videos ! Thanks for watching!

Places like this I do not disclose the location to. Releasing that information puts buildings in jeopardy of theft, vandalism or arson. Ironically enough the children's Hospital in the first part got torched earlier this year. (Video is 2+ years old)

I love watching tours of old abandoned buildings but it drives me crazy to see so many potentially lovely artifacts just rotting. Sometimes I wish someone would get with the owners and rescue some of the things.I'd love to restore one of those wheelchairs, some of the styles are amazing.

Sanatoriums are what I call extinct businesses, they’ve been that way since the 1960s when those vaccines came out, I assume around the late ‘50s. I would assume it closed in the early 1960s just like Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Speaking of which, psychiatric hospitals are what I call an endangered species of businesses since the vast majority have shut down, with only a small fraction still open today, like Friends Hospital and McLean Hospital.

im glad dark days of these type of places is far behind us, but unfortunately a new version of such institutions needs to come back, the streets of larger cities across north America are filling up with crazed homeless hardcore drug addicts, on fentanyl, meth, flakka etc that refuse voluntary treatment and while high are starting to randomly attack anyone who come in their way. so, anyway like i said im glad these dark days are gone. These old places that kept children and mentally challenged people in those type of hospitals was criminal in itself, but so is keeping dangerous out of control addicts roaming the streets....

From a metaphysical perspective you should have been extremely more careful before filming this because there are many confused and dark spirits existing there and they can attach to you without you even knowing until you start to feel "different" but by then it is too late. I have been working with clients who have been feeling "different" and had to bring in my assistant to help me remove those spirits.

Way back when, blood pressure readings were measured with mercury. Due to the high levels of accuracy and lack of need for calibration, mercury blood pressure gauges are still used in certain instances. Fun fact: Blood pressure readings are recorded in a unit called "mmHg," which stands for "millimeters of mercury."
