You can just duplicate the track and insert an ms plugin on both tracks followed by this transient shaper. Then in the first ms plugin solo the mid and the second one solo the sides.
I was gonna sleep on this until you mentioned the center/side control of it. There are many other free transient shapers but this is going to replace them all easily.

Hi! The algorithm behind Flash is the core algorithm for Quantum. It's the algorithm that tells Quantum what parts of the signal are transients without the need of a threshold. Having said that, Flash has nothing to do with Quantum in terms of sound, they are different beasts. It's just the internal detector. Cassette Transport has nothing to do with Cassette, but it's a perfect companion. SK10 and SnareBuzz are a world on their own.
Very nice plug-in, even better than NI Transient Master which used to be my staple... Not anymore... And that one for free!. Check out the Echo Cat tape echo plug-in emulaton, also a huge fan.

When gradually going to the mid only, the side is reduced. When gradually going to the side, the mid channel is reduced.

Heads up with the flash plugin.. on studio one I can load it but as soon as I change a setting studio one disables it and state that the plugin provided bad data.
Can you please try to update to the latest installer? I just uploaded a new one. You can do that in the plugin itself clicking on the spinning update icon.
@@wavesfactory I updated via the download link, the auto update didn't seem to work.. it just download an exe file to my desktop which I could not execute. after updating the initial error is fixed though, Thank you 🍻

What happens if you don't switch the processing mode all the way to either full side or full mid? Like if you set it 30% to the left (mid) ?
