Even in the 1970's little kids disappeared because parents were too trusting of neighbors...not knowing predators were cruising through neighborhoods Halloween night...looking for that one unescorted lone kid....the true monsters of Halloween.
I'm positive we watched this at school, our teacher decided that all apples have razor blades in them and told us never to eat them. She was a bit 'extra' to say the least!
I'm sure any girl that age will just happily go along with her mom changing her from a scary witch (with mask and black outfit) into to a princess in white. There definitely will be no arguing, screaming, tantrums, sulking, etc. /s 🙄
Yeah, they did ruin her costume. Safety is important, but they could have just added reflective tape to the black outfit, since they put it on the white outfit anyway. Or given her a bright red or orange cape to wear. The mom could have put green makeup on the little girl's face instead of a mask to make her look more scary
I remember watching this in school. I never realized that they turned the witch's costume into a Klan costume. 🤣
Like how the Siamese Cat walks in the camera
I never watched this but my mom probably did. I was born in 1992 and this is Halloween as I remember it!
Yes I was born in 86. I also had very wholesome Halloween the 80's saftey video hit it on the nail for me.
Still sound advice for kids today.🎃

Doesn’t that white witch costume screams KKK to anyone.
I was a 2 month old baby, (Aug. 24, 1977) , when this first aired!
Definitely not the same way as today's Trick Or Treat (or "Trunk or Treat") ! 🎃
