My folks had his albums and I heard this great talent while growing up. I also remember Gentleman Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, and Earnest Tubb. I sure miss that kind of music!
Once in a while my family would have a "grab it " Sunday and we would play board games and eat sandwiches. This album always played on the record player. I miss that so much!!!!!
One of the many Webb Pierce albums I bought & wore out, the first one I bought was (Just Imagination) & probably my overall favorite, however this one has some great stuff, Blue Mood & If The Back Door Could Talk are two of the best in my opinion, thanks for all the great Wondering Boy music you put here for all is Webb fans.
My parents were living in Camden Arkansas. Which is where I was born in 1954. Webb asked mom to find him a date. So my parents drove Elvis to the Carnes Park Pool to meet up with the girl. I was actually in the car but of course I don’t remember a darn thing lol. The sad thing is the girl never showed up. So all Elvis got was a sunburn!! 😂. My mom died in 2000, I wish I can remember the girls name that was dumb enough to stand him up. But I can’t!!
Thanks for uploading all this great classic country music, and you got good variety too - Webb Pierce, Loretta Lynn, Faron Young etc. It's all so good.
2packs4sure those two are great too but the other two hold a special place in my heart ♥️.. Someone sang these to me a few years back.😉Do you still send notifications via email? I almost missed this.

There's two,, Praguefrank's,, which has detailed info. for most sessions up to 1958,,, sourced from the Bear Family box set I'm sure... And Hundred Year Webb which has a PDF with detailed 49'-51' session info. and 59'-62' info. It also has a very good if short Webb bio... There is NO source for detailed session info. for Webb's 63'-73' output that I'm aware of or anything post Decca/MCA..

Agreed !!
My mom knew Webb Pierce. Also he introduced my mom to Elvis in 1955. My mom lived next door to his grandmother in Monroe La.
That's neat,, I'd love to hear her Webb stories and it makes sense Webb introduced Elvis to her because Elvis toured with Webb for a while.

Webb's wife Audrey was famously good looking,, I have audio of Ralph Emery interviewing Webb and Ralph can't shut up about how pretty she is.
You mean Webb, right?? 😉
@@2packs4sure I know the one, it’s like Ralph can’t hardly believe it! 😆
Unmistakable Pete Drake!
The Pete Drake sound of the early 60's especially is unique !
