I am listening to this CD for the 6th time in the last two days; I'm 75 and have been listening to and a fan of Mark's music for 50 of those 75 years; I cannot begin to express the excitement, joy, and appreciation your music and songs have brought to me and millions of others all around the world.I played bass in a band during high school and college, and while I am not even in the same galaxy as you where musicianship is concerned, I learned enough about playing guitar to recognize the brilliance and incredible guitar work and songwriting that have been your trademark since Dire Straits. You don't listen to a song collection like One Deep River so much as you feel it in your heart and soul, Like a fine wine, you have mellowed with age, and I pray that you will be around long enough to grace us with many more beautiful songs and masterful guitar work. God bless you and your fellow musicians for the incredible support for the teen cancer support organizations. with your Going Home tribute release. Nobody but nobody can make a guitar sing so soulfully as you can!
Mellow is the one word descriptor of another masterwork of Mr. Knopfler. He's matured and his settled style just keeps you warm like your favorite coat on a cold day. Can't think of many who've aged with this kind of class. Thank you Sir.

This song reminds me of my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never missed a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes but some times I wonder why bad thing always happen to good people..
My favourite song is tunnel of love, i played that song every time my wife had treatment for cancer, sadly she died but I've played that song on anniversary's every year for 33 yrs and it's got me through. Thank you! music can be a great healer.
I was born yesterday. I love Dire Straits's and Mark Knopfler's music because for the last 9 months my mom and dad always every day listened to their songs.
I am from Ukraine, and MK is my favourite guitarist and singer for almost 40 years. First time I heard his song was in 1988. And it was So beautiful for me, I was very impressed, I had only 8 years. :) It was "you and your friends" and now in this difficult time for Ukraine the songs of Mark help to believe in better future. I am always happy to hear more from Mark; there is nothing like a first listen. I remember that first-moment hearing "Telegraph Road," which is still my favorite song by Mark. Extended play is fantastic; he has time to tell a whole story.

I think Pete, if anyone is fortunate it's Mark. Because without people who like his music........ On another point I've just started listening to John Illsley, a simular sound to Mark. Mark was resently the subject of BBC radio 4's Desert Island Disc's.
Mark Knopfler was recently interviewed and the interviewer told him he was rated as the best guitar player in the world. Mark replied ”utter nonsense” he then went on to list all the things he did wrong when playing guitar. He might be right, he is not the best technical player but boy is he musical and unique. I never tire of listening to him and I can tell it’s him playing the minute he starts. There’s nobody else who plays like him and to me he is the best.

“Tracker” drew me back into this world of Knopfler solo albums. “One Deep River” is soulful, musical and mystifying. “Ahead of The Game” is a beautiful track. That bass pushing through the mix keeping everything together. 🤘🌱💙

A fan for almost 50yrs, forever a place in my heart for Mark's fabulous catalog of music. So happy to discover his newest, and i hope not last, masterpiece.
Superb album, well crafted and balanced. 12 good songs out of 12. The ballads are really great: Black Tie Jobs, Watch Me Gone and One Deep River. In Scavengers Yard one hears the devastating guitar of Kingdom Come and Corned Beef City. There are some good songs on the bonus album too. Very rich in metaphores lyrics. Some of it seems to be written by James Joyce using his stream of consciousness method. I have been waiting for this album since 2018.

I was born yesterday. I love Dire Straits's and Mark Knopfler's music because for the last 9 months my mom and dad always every day listened to their songs.
I am from Ukraine, and MK is my favourite guitarist and singer for almost 40 years. First time I heard his song was in 1988. And it was So beautiful for me, I was very impressed, I had only 8 years. :) It was "you and your friends" and now in this difficult time for Ukraine the songs of Mark help to believe in better future. Thank you, Mark

This album is so beautifully crafted. It is obvious that everyone involved added love to the mix. The melodies and storytelling are what continue to set Mark apart. 💜
I am always happy to hear more from Mark; there is nothing like a first listen. I remember that first-moment hearing "Telegraph Road," which is still my favorite song by Mark. Extended play is fantastic; he has time to tell a whole story.

Mark Knopfler was recently interviewed and the interviewer told him he was rated as the best guitar player in the world. Mark replied ”utter nonsense” he then went on to list all the things he did wrong when playing guitar. He might be right, he is not the best technical player but boy is he musical and unique. I never tire of listening to him and I can tell it’s him playing the minute he starts. There’s nobody else who plays like him and to me he is the best.

“Tracker” drew me back into this world of Knopfler solo albums. “One Deep River” is soulful, musical and mystifying. “Ahead of The Game” is a beautiful track. That bass pushing through the mix keeping everything together. 🤘🌱💙

Wonderful and beautiful songs !! Mark is great !!!!!
Superb album, well crafted and balanced. 12 good songs out of 12. The ballads are really great: Black Tie Jobs, Watch Me Gone and One Deep River. In Scavengers Yard one hears the devastating guitar of Kingdom Come and Corned Beef City. There are some good songs on the bonus album too. Very rich in metaphores lyrics. Some of it seems to be written by James Joyce using his stream of consciousness method. I have been waiting for this album since 2018.
