It made no sense sending Ashley on loan since he had such a good Season away. Ange selection has been odd.. Ash should have stayed and played in cups and Europa .. Spence should been on the Europa squad. We all knew left wing / cb was always an issue. This one is on Ange and Lange the sporting director!
I don't see it on Ange whatsoever. If Phillips wasn't ready in his eyes, then a replacement should've been found. Had months since the previous Jan to know this. This is on Lange and the others around him
Watch when we attack..half of opponent team..we occupy except only 2 CB. So when face counter attack...our defence has too many spaces quick run back. Physically hard work. So have to prepare double squad before season...we have games per week before end of year..worry we have more injury-players n lack performance. Players are not machines...

You're missing that Ange won't sign a player just to make up numbers. If someone went out on loan, then they weren't ready to be considered for regular game time and a loan was thought to be more important for their development. Ben Davies has proved to be a more than competent back up Centre Back. The things you are talking about are all features of a side rebuilding. Ange freely admits that more windows are needed.
I mean you are backing my point up saying he has needed multiple window, and my gripe is with the higher ups. Not signing a player for the sake of it I agree with. When there’s evidence of other 30 missed games out of a possible 41 by cb’s you’d put 2+2 to equal 4 knowing you’d need another. Had all summer to do so

If you listen to Munn, Lange and Ange they paint a very clear picture of the processes now in place. The Lange interview this year clearly outlined the strategies around recruitment. Building a squad that wasn't just focused on the now, but the future as well. This matches with Ange's frequent statements that he wants build a squad that's in a position to contend every year. Sure he wants to win things now, but he also wants to build squad that in 5 years time is up there doing the same. For each window the money available is finite, also there is no guarentee that your targets are obtainable. Spurs clearly are not the finished article, but they have frequently demonstrated what the side even now is capable of. I like I said in the summer I didn't want to hear excuses from the club about injuries I have heard this too many times. Especially as we had the extra European games. How many clubs just have 3 CB's? Lower the wages and leave us short in squad depth and Ange said ok. Why yet again did we spend 40mil on a young CM and leave other areas of short on depth. Like I said Ange was happy to say ok to this. He said these were all his signings. Look at it like this yes we are doing ok in the cup competitions but now some players are going to play 2 games a week that's a risk of more injuries form will slip. It's not looking great. If we lose to city that's 6 losses from 12 games. When your not taking 3 points from Ipswitch Leicester and Palace which puts us in the top 4 and you get a tough run of fixtures thus can derail the season. What needs to happen at spurs is a complete change of mentality where it's not about being a Business but how do we become the best team in the country. That's what the other big 6 clubs are doing.

Whether he's good enough is another matter, but there's no way Ben Davies is anything but CB at this point.
I am not denying it, my point still stands that he is a LB. He has maybe transitioned into a CB but is an actual LB
