What a wonderful interview! Linda is a dear nomad friend of mine, that I met in 2023 at a rest stop on the way to the RTR in Quartzsite, AZ. She is an amazing person with a kind heart and I enjoy watching her channel from the car life and into the cottage life. Jan, I hope to meet you one day. I also follow your informative and inspiring channel.
It's good to see Linda is still doing well! See talks about the "four walls" she has now besides her van. It's interesting that the many senior women who only have the four walls that they call home may also have this gypsy spirit living somewhere inside in their hearts. With some, the wandering dreams to go far, far away from where we are, start to fade as the years go by. Even though I have taken epic road trips that took many days, I never ventured out from my routes and ultimate destinations. The adventure for me was only from behind the steering wheel. I've seen a lot of America. From afar with wide-eyed wonder at the passing beauty around me. Or sad to see how things are for some people, too, living in poverty and run down neighborhoods. All this from the safety of my Hyundai. Never straying from the path. But I do envy these gypsy spirited women. Who never let what could or might happen out there keep them from living a life just to see what could or might happen out there. To some, home will always be just four walls that will never tether them to it. To others, home is a place that keeps calling you back to it at the end of each day. Either way it's all about perspective whichever way you look at it. So keep on keeping on ladies of the road and enjoy the ride. These are the days dreams are made of ❤.
Linda has her vehicle very neat and organized. Especially having her business material included. She has accomplished much with her books she has written and photo albums of her journey. Along with jobs held and travel of the United States. Excellent interview. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.
Linda seems genuinely very happy and knows what she wants and goes for it...I admire her. Will be checking out her channel. Jan, you have inspired so many and how nice to be able to meet up with these sweet, smart ladies. ❤
I’ve been following Linda for years. Such an inspiration and I’ve learned so much about so many things from her. So organized. Love her! Thanks for videoing this Butterfly Tracks.
I am getting ready to head out for the RTR in January. This will be my 3rd long trip traveling and sleeping in my VW Golf. I also sleep under the steering wheel. I love traveling this way...no reservations and can change my mind on where I'm going next. Not sure how much longer I can do this...I am 80 now...but hoping for a few more years.

Thank you for another great video. I love Linda. She is so inspiring and creative. She has her adventure vehicle dialed in and her homebase is wonderful. I hope our paths cross somewhere out on the road.
Jan I am so glad you and Linda were able to meet. I have followed her for years, before your channel started. I am actually surprised she knew who you were because I tried telling her (in a comment on one of her videos) about your facebook page once and to follow your group so she can caravan with you and your groups and she replied saying 'I don't caravan with groups'. I hope she does decide to caravan with you and one of your groups.
I remember Bob's interview when Linda was in her Acura! Wow. Linda, you need to do Alaska. I was there traveling for 5 months and it was amazing, along with Canada. I don't have much and my SUV blew an engine on the way so my debt free world took a monthly hit with my funds in the shape of a new "mortgage" van payment. Alaska was an amazing experience, my dream come true! You don't need much and the Lord always makes sure I have enough!
With all the room of a hatchback, I would be sleeping on a mattress. I'm neither agile nor nimble anymore to be climbing and stretching. The clutter i can deal with.
What she needs is a trailer like the one I bought, which is the back of a utility truck with a dome on top. Holds everything, big & small in numerous separate compartments. Unfortunately, being on SSI, I was unable to go Gypsy, cuz on SSI you MUST have a brick & mortar residence. My disability also hindered me, & now, needing a trailer on my van to carry the wheelchair I need when I can't walk, means I can't pull the compartment trailer & travel trailer simultaneously. 😢 I have thought about a 30' flat bed trailer that could carry both, but alas, I can not afford one.
I could not feel serene surrounded by all the clutter in that space. I have been neglecting to put things back immediately after using them in my own HOW for only a few days, and I've been accumulating Christmas gifts, and I can't stand being surrounded by it all. I've been re-organizing and putting things away for 2 hours now. The anxiety is ferocious!!! I've got a give-away pile growing. Less stuff means more peace. Nice ladies and to each her own. 🎉❤
@OhHapppyDaay: My brain is built much like yours. Too much stuff in a small space causes utter chaos in my brain. Nonetheless, I respect that God, in all His perfectness, magnificence, wisdom, and creativity created each of us individually and uniquely to like many different things and to be comfortable in many different surroundings. If we were all the same how boring that would be. Linda shared her space with us which she designed to meet her needs. She knows where everything is located. Linda is doing what works best for her, and she exudes joy, vigor, creativity, and a zest for living, and that is utterly spectacular.

Thank you for this lovely information. I am interested in this lifestyle. I've heard mention of a Facebook group in several of the Butterfly Tracks videos. But I can't find it. Is it a secret group? I would love the opportunity to join if possible. Thank you for these great videos and dymanic women.

Hello Jan and Linda, Exceptional content. Linda has shown that she is an extraordinary artisan cross country travelor author and project developer. Her product line is unique and supported by a broad fan base of followers. She works hard and is truely a visionary example of a cross country camper car dweller and leading edge point of sale marketing influencer. ❤

Sounds like you have options. There are days when I can only walk with 2 hiking poles. 😊

I'd have to learn from one of you ladies the wrinkle free clothes you wear that are presentable after rolling because I'm a wrinkle phobe. 😂
It all depends on the fabric. I've seen quite a few rigs with a place to hang clothes. 😊👍

Why do I see so many lady meetups but no men? Maybe they are out there but just not so popular.
I don't know of any men only meetups. There are couples meetups and young people meetups. Also rig specific meetups.
