Honor band vs mi band vs or some other mid-range band which is best
Hii I own a Mi band 3 and the twist to wake function doesn't seem to work ..how can I turn it on?
I have been using Mi band 3 since the very next day of its launch in India.
Pros :
1. Built quality is good,
2. Battery life is superb,
3. Sleep analysis is very accurate.
4. heart rate monitor and calories burnt I am not sure how accurate it is as I do not have any other fitness tracker band or watch which does same function so I can compare and know. But it may be very close to accurate.
5. Very affordable and reasonable price.
6. Call and SMS notification works well,
7. Find mobile option is good and works well.
Cons :
1. The biggest con according to me is its pedometer which is not accurate at all. While riding a vehicle or while cycling indoor as well steps are counted. Even though that is not called walking.
2. The device doesn't monitor the sleep in day time. Only the sleep in night time is monitored.
3.Can't find out from where I can enable the notifications for Facebook, twitter, Instagram and what's app by using the Mi fit app.
PS : Despite some cons this band is still totally worth for its price.

8. Even though my Lenovo K8 plus has just one Bluetooth not a dual one which comes in some Honor Mobiles. I can still use both mi band 3 and my Bluetooth headset without any problem 🙂 so workouts are enjoyable with music and movies or shows can be streamed while the band is still on your hand and connected to your mobile..

In the MI fit app, in the app alerts option, you can enable notifications as well as select the apps you want to receive notifications from... Hope it helps...

Hello, am a new user of band.... I want to know that when we go for a exercise, running or any workout phone must be with our self is compulsory or whether it will work without phone near to band?
It works without phone by using the Excercise mode, then when u come back home you sync it to your phone and done :) I tried it myself and it works! It tracked same amount of calories as with the phone
After how many time band will be on once unbox? How much we have to charge first time after unbox?

How to enable phone unlocking when the band is "very close" on my one plus 6. Does it support only google smart lock ? My phone unlocks with just a swipe even when the band is just connected!!

i have bought the xiaomi mi band 3 on the day it launched for sale on amazon.
my experience of 3 days of using it,
pros:
-it is much better than its' predecessor mi band 2 (as i already had it and used it for 1+ year) in comparison to continuous heart rate monitoring, touch screen (it's great) , look and price point. I haven't tested it for pedometer accuracy yet but it doesn't seem to be much improved on first usage experience.
-Notifications feature is good when you're driving/ exercising as you don't have to pull out your phone to know about what message/call/notification from host of different apps you are receiving (that is a nifty feature to have if you don't want to get bothered).
-find my band and find my phone feature (thumbs up for that)
-continuos heart rate monitoring (a big step towards cardiovascular health for athletes and heart patients and almost everyone who have heart)(it does take away alot of battery though)
-price (wohoo) (i got it for 1999)
-
cons:
okay let's talk about it.
-i set my MI BAND 3 at 1min frequency of heart rate monitoring, deducted some of the features such as weather, exercise (didn't make much of a difference though). And i got just 1DAY of battery life out of it and i had to charge it by the evening as i returned back from my evening run (charged fully each day these past 3 days) i know checking heart rate each minute is quite tiresome for the battery but i get that if i set the frequency to 5minutes i can get battery life of around 4-5 days (i don't expect much as i have got only 1 day on 1 min frequency) (20 days :) i suppose if you dont use the automatic heart rate sensor, you might get the battery life xiaomi claims) (but that heart rate sensor is almost at par with many of the big fitness watches like g@rm!n, App!e, etc. (accuracy is not at par with medical equipments with these devices. also you need a chest mounting body strap (sounds weird i know) to check your accurate heart rate with g@rm!n and P0l@r, then why to invest so heavily in them?).
-Apart from that i could not find any screen protector for this curved screen, so no protection for this screen available as of now.
-The strap feels a bit delicate, and i feel i will tear it down everytime i pull out the device.
-it does take a lot time to charge.
-It does not sync your continuous heart rate monitoring data with apple health. just steps distance and things your iphone already measures on its own. (though Mi Fit app shows a very elaborate data, but still you have to open that app to see that data)
*hoping for a better sturdy band for MI Band 3 from xiaomi or any third party manufacturer*
concluding my experience with giving it a thumbs up and definitely recommending this to anyone who is finding a fitness band. (i suggest you should take a look on this before you buy those big and costly watches "some even with no after sales service")
after some research i found out that continuous heart rate not syncing with apple health is just a bug. I initially thought my device was faulty. Hope they fix it soon. Also, I'm looking for a screen protector too. Plz let me know if you find one✌🏼
But still this is the best budget fitness band!!

You have to go to the notification section in the Mi Fit App..& enable it from there!..Then only it will show the all notifications..😄

Yes..it will track evry step even if u r not connected via Bluetooth and even if u pair it after 2 or 3 days..u can see all the results in mi fit app

I have been using this band for a week now it's amazing, the display is really scratch resistant, it's so clear, it's accurate and won't even feel it is on your hand, it's really comfortable. Must buy
