Thank you, Sarah, for all you are offering online. I am an Alexander Technique teacher who took a workshop with you a few years ago and have added your exercises to what I teach. Myofunctional therapy and Alexander Technique go hand in hand to help with posture, voice, breathing, and all over coordination. My students and I thank you.
it just makes me so discouraged! :( mostly because on a wide scale we arent believed when we talk to our doctors about this stuff, they have no idea what we are talking about, they wont learn, and even if they do, the insurance wont cover it either because of the wide scale of belief that ties dont exist or arent causing any issues. :( :( even when some of us know better, and see so much value in having it treated, they dont, so we cant get the work done... out of pocket is so expensive and so frustrating. :( i wont argue its worth every penny... but it would be nice to see insurance companies start covering things so we can improve overall health :(
They said tongue tie is very common and almost everyone has it, its all about excercising your tongue and it may work the same way with those without tie, just need consistency.
Ultimately "playing doctor" is the way out of most intractable medical situations... rarely have i seen a chronically ill person come to me telling me "oh, the good doctor fixed me up!". Typically it's moreso "so i spent 3 years straight trying to figure it out, read this book, started understanding things, and then dix _x_ ". You only have yourself in the end.
Hi sarah I’ve been exercising with functional patterns but my neck problems and posture problems doesn’t seem to resolve and im tongue tied (posterior), do you think i need to release my tongue tie and once my tongue is released then i can start with functional patterns ? Thanks!
Hi Sarah, I’ve been trying this for 2 days now and feel a lot healthier, especially in the quality of breaths and overall energy. However, the roof of my mouth is very tender. Just wondering if this is normal at the beginning, or if I am doing something wrong.

Can fixing my tongue posture get rid of my double chin, and improve my neck angle? There’s little fat there and I’m only 23.
blazing flame yes it can!
