@@JoyriderTV I have sold and built, and sailed and officiated so many Hobies and Hobie events here in the US, it would probably stun you. Hobie was family. And I wish to tell you, your videos promote not just Hobie Cat, but sailing over all. Remember to focus on beginners too. I used to attend our fleets Hobie Seminars and advised them not to talk just about racing…. That will go over non sailor’s heads, and possibly cause newbies to stay away from Hobie Fleets altogether. Must remember the predominant buying motives, and you do an excellent job of portraying the most important fact of Hobie sailing. FUN !!! I press this on Fishing Clubs Tournaments as well. For if they see the fun and use that word… they choose sailing. Or any other sport if they think it’ll be fun for them.
@@nebraskatpp Thanks for your reply, yes, it's certainly in my interest to make more videos for the more beginner level sailors. - There are a lot more peo0ple out there who haven't sailed before than ones who have! I'm actually working on some more beginner content at the moment,. Cheers
@@JoyriderTV I forgot to mention, to offer a little clarification, I did all this on the southern Gulf coast where I lived and sailed year round. There isn’t much sailing in Nebraska. You know. Long time No Sea!
I have learned so much from this guy. Thanks for your videos on everything sailing ⛵️.
Agreed @mixed signal drums.
Absolutely! Such a wealth of knowledge and so incredibly helpful.
You guys!!! It's my pleasure. I should have something more juicy for you soon.
Givin it the beans! 😃 Woohoo! 👐👍🤙
🤩
As one gull said to the other "who is that guy talking to?" "don't know, he must be crazy"
Probably about right
@@JoyriderTV lol 🤣😂
You're ze best!!!🌻

It's all about the hands!
What’s scraping
I really couldn't say - maybe one of the beams getting a good creak on.
Is the speed in knots or mph or ?
Knots 🚀
With what kind of wind?
Around 25 knots
Is it a 16 or 18
That's a 16, unfortunately I don't have an 18 to sail.
That starboard stay looks awfully loose for a 16 to be groaning and creaking like that. If all the loads up front, I’d be very careful.
Pretty standard here to have it that loose - maybe a shade more rig tension would have been good.
