i’m on my 6th treatment of sulfur. for anyone curious: i would wear gloves, a face mask and not do it directly in your tub. it’s not good for the pipes. also what i do is save a gallon of milk or juice and mix 3 tbsp with 1 gal water and then pour it into my spray bottles. you have to mix it after every spray basically. the sulfur settles instantly. you want the leaves to have the white dots on them. you don’t want to put them wet into the light since it’ll burn the leaves. you have to do it weekly for 6-7 weeks for flat mites and longer for thrips. don’t use anything else on the plants since it could cause burning!
@@GoodGrowing thanks! i highly suggest you do it monthly. i did it to all 200+ plants in my collection and they LOVE the sulfur! it’s a pain in the booty but worth it!!
Girl! I’m so proud of you!! I can only imagine how tough that was to spray for the flat mites!! I’m glad you opted to bring us along with you cuz I have never seen that done before, and I love the jar-arium idea too! So cute! Good luck to your berries hatching babies and see ya soon, thanks again, Ginger
Yeah I really didn’t want to do it. But that’s why these videos are good for me. They force me to actually do the care part of plant care 😅 thanks for all the love 💚
Emma you really did it with this video! From the editing, music, narration, and information... it was *chef's kiss* I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this.
Hope everything is going good and you’re having a great day! I finally caught up on my planty chores and I feel like it removed a weight off my back. 😅💚 Always a fan of your content.
Hello Emma, For plants that need high humidity and don't fit in the grow boxes like your coconut Orchid, I use zip bags... (where I leave a small gap open)... I'm curious how the Orchid will bloom
Oh gosh, I'm not sure, I liked the pest one even though it was icky haha, I'm not sure if you can carve pumpkins in the UK? Or maybe "spooky" plants like the Florida ghost, etc? 👻
Not everybody has experience with using sulphur, so your question is totally valid, and not stupid at all. Sulphur should be applied and then sprayed items left in the dark until dry, otherwise it causes something called phytotoxicity, which in layman's terms means it will cause leaf burn.
@@Carey.S75 ah!!! Now I see! I live in Finland and sulfur use is not familiar here, or minor or not so familiar at least to me. Thank you for the answer!
Wow, what an ordeal, but it's done! I use Capt. Jack's Dead Bug Brew spray and Bonide systemic granules as a preventative because it works, but I'm in the US so it's easy to get. I know I couldn't do what you do it would stress me out way too much. Do you have to do this again to keep on top of the pests?
yeah can't really get Capt Jack's here. Also not super keen to use systemic because I usually use predatory mites and the chemical pesticides kill those too.. give so does sulpher probably... It's an odd balance. But yes I will need to repeat the spray weekly for 8 weeks 🙃

Ooh great tips! Thanks! Hopefully yours will be gone soon!

Nice 👍
The seeds look like tonsil stones!
I'm so sorry about the pests 😥 but your jarrarium is so cool!! are you going to be doing another Halloween sort of video? I loved your last ones! 🎃
Defo gunna do something for Halloween. Any requests?

Not planty question, what were you listening to while sulphur treating?
I wasn't listening to anything but the song I put over the top was Skateboards and Sunsets by Rocket Jr
This must be a question in the series stupid or not stupid one. Why were you so careful not to put the plants wet in the cabinet?
