any updates for this terrarium after a few months?
@@mochiemd86 yes theres one as a shorts in the shorts shelf
Nice. I realized that a large part of your success is your boxes from which you take your cuttings i.e. having healthy plants to use in your terrarium. If you get time, I'm sure i'm not the only one who would benefit from a demonstration of how you create and maintain your grow out boxes. Thanks again for the lovely project.
Thank you. I will cover it in a future video.
I love that your terrarium was not oversaturated with too many plants. This shows that the hardscape is part of the environment, and is not just a base to be covered with tons of plants.
🙏
I love how you design your scapes, you always put so much effort into every detail. Fantastic work, my friend!
Thank you
I've been getting those sized jars from the local asian supermarket where I live here in canada. They sell loose leaf tea in them (am big into loose leaf), so terrarium containers are just a bonus anytime I finish off a jar of tea :D
This channel doesn't disappoints, very informative and beautiful build, since it's monsoon season here in India, I was wondering why don't you make a native terrarium build similar to this video, it will be very informative and helpful for beginners like me. Thank you😊
Thank you. I have a couple of native builds on the channel. I plan to make a few more soon.
Thank you for the clear explanations of every step. You are a good teacher.

Beautiful. Do you have a video about keeping spring tails for use in terrariums?
Thanks. Yes it is in this playlist ua-cam.com/play/PL2B6lN6qObdqpxnaF3u30ETDgYVID3PlI.html
Mini Bolbitus is a great plant. Easy to divide and use small or larger size.
Indeed.
Nice vidio❤❤❤❤
Thanks
Love you builds and the hardwork you put in to develop your hobby mesmerises me!!! just wanted to ask..i have got some symphylans along with the substrate which i didnt see intitially...are they harmful.. should i redo the terrarium?
Thank you. These insects might eat the roots of plants is what I have read. Otherwise harmless I think. You can observe the terrarium for some more days and then take a decision.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist thanks!!!
Hey! love the channel and videos! i live in a hot country and wonderd what is the recomended tempature? room tempature here can reach 30+ deg c

Can you help me acquire the springtails in India.
Excellent design. Do you sell kits with tiny cuttings for micro terrariums on Etsy?
Thanks. No not on Etsy
Could you elaborate on which mosses struggle in closed spaces. I collected many spp recently but don’t want to plant one that are doomed to fail. Thanks in advance. PS your vids are lovely, my wife cannot wait for me to make her one.
Thanks. Temperate mosses struggle mostly. Tropical terrestrial and aquatic species do well.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Where can you get some of the mini plants you use in your small /micro terrariums?
This point had been covered in the video
👍👍👍👍❤️
Why did you choose those materials and proportions for the substrate?

How long this terrarium can be maintained?
As long as you want
I can’t find dragon stone anywhere in this rural area of Coastal NC!
You can try aquarium stores near you
@TheUrbanNemophilist I did! No dice
When I purchased moss to incorporate into my first terrarium, the seller warned that mosses typically like a slightly acidic soil. Peat moss is wonderful for reducing the pH of growing medium, but coco peat has a neutral pH. Do you add anything other than dried sphagnum moss to slightly reduce the pH?
Coco peat is actually slightly acidic. Together with moss, pine bark and soft water makes it ideal for moss growth. Not all species of moss however can grow in enclosed spaces due to some other factors.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist Thank you!
Assalamualaikum bhai, i have a question, Is preserve moss is artificial? What kind of moss should i use for terrarium?
Live moss
Where can we buy fresh cushion moss in India?
Aquascaping stores
@@TheUrbanNemophilist thank you. Wonderful tutorial!
Can I use banayan root for terrarium?
Can be used after seasoning them.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist how can i seasoning them?
@@wayeskuruniahad9887 natural processes involved allowing it to completely dry out over a period of 12-18 months while protecting it from the th elements and pests. There are other quicker factory processes that involves heat and electricity.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist thanks a lot
