Nice. I realized that a large part of your success is your boxes from which you take your cuttings i.e. having healthy plants to use in your terrarium. If you get time, I'm sure i'm not the only one who would benefit from a demonstration of how you create and maintain your grow out boxes. Thanks again for the lovely project.
I love that your terrarium was not oversaturated with too many plants. This shows that the hardscape is part of the environment, and is not just a base to be covered with tons of plants.
Oh my word. This is the best video I’ve seen on building terrariums. Clear and concise instructions without time wasting, thank you. And I’m very inspired by your builds 👏
I've been getting those sized jars from the local asian supermarket where I live here in canada. They sell loose leaf tea in them (am big into loose leaf), so terrarium containers are just a bonus anytime I finish off a jar of tea :D
This channel doesn't disappoints, very informative and beautiful build, since it's monsoon season here in India, I was wondering why don't you make a native terrarium build similar to this video, it will be very informative and helpful for beginners like me. Thank you😊
Very beautiful as always! Never heard of some of the little plants you used. I like to use soleirolia because it grows so well and SO FAST from a little cutting in terrarium conditions
Love you builds and the hardwork you put in to develop your hobby mesmerises me!!! just wanted to ask..i have got some symphylans along with the substrate which i didnt see intitially...are they harmful.. should i redo the terrarium?
Thank you. These insects might eat the roots of plants is what I have read. Otherwise harmless I think. You can observe the terrarium for some more days and then take a decision.
That's Awesome, could you please give me the list of the plants and give me an advice about how to grow these plants in home with seeds or any other way, I live in Canada.
Could you elaborate on which mosses struggle in closed spaces. I collected many spp recently but don’t want to plant one that are doomed to fail. Thanks in advance. PS your vids are lovely, my wife cannot wait for me to make her one.
When I purchased moss to incorporate into my first terrarium, the seller warned that mosses typically like a slightly acidic soil. Peat moss is wonderful for reducing the pH of growing medium, but coco peat has a neutral pH. Do you add anything other than dried sphagnum moss to slightly reduce the pH?
Coco peat is actually slightly acidic. Together with moss, pine bark and soft water makes it ideal for moss growth. Not all species of moss however can grow in enclosed spaces due to some other factors.
