Thanks for the very helpful video! I needed a wireless mic with high fidelity for recording a MOOC in busy areas, and your examples sealed the deal. Just ordered one.
@@JeremyY Hi, and I did end up getting it. Worked perfectly with my camera after a bit of fiddling with levels, and the audio quality was better than expected. Still haven’t tried it with a smartphone. Thanks for checking in!

Suprisingly, no comments on RF interference and positioning interference (if an object blocks line of sight). The biggest miss, though, (the same as on Wreless Go, but at least the RODE has a built in mic), is on the transmitter - no LOCKING TRS connector (that means a lav will be popping out of the socket all the time making the whole system pretty much useless). For this reason only - Sennheiser is way better and more practical deal altogether ( + superior Sennheiser sound quality and much smaller footprint to boot). Would anyone disagree?
I personally didn't have any issues with the TRS connector popping out (and put it through its paces), but a locking TRS connector WOULD be an awesome feature, especially for the vlogging setup. And I did consider adding a positioning interference test, but most people will film with a clear line of sight between their transmitter and camera/receiver. Will definitely do that kind of testing if I ever re-visit this as I'm betting that the Pro-XR's external antenna will perform really nicely.

Hey my dude (gal?). Just checking in on you. Did you end up pulling the trigger on the Pro-XR? How's it all going?
