I have a '91 K100 and an '88 Heritage Softail (both with sidecars). They are completely different motorcycles with completely different philosophies of motorcycling, but I love them both.
Always loved the k1100, the build quality and design was amazing. I had an 07 ex met police 1200rt, didn't rate it, it couldn't catch a cold let alone a criminal👍
My relationship with my RT will never get better than a love/hate one. Fantastic dirty weather bike, very comfortable and so on. But... I just got myself a CBR600 F4i Sport of the exact same vintage (2001). No rusted bolts on the CBR, many of those on the Beemer. And that is just one example. There are many small things on the Beemer that are of bad quality and crumble. Never had that on any of my Japanese bikes... Love/hate relationships never last long...
The CBR of that era are amazing bikes and beautifully crafted, but I have seen many dogs too, any bike neglected will fall to that fate of rusty bits and bobs. I think the built quality on the K Series was something that was not repeated on later R T models from what I hear. Thanks for watching and enjoy your bikes. The CBR is one of the greatest bikes ever produced. Stay safe.

Drove k100 for about 15 years, best bike I ever drove, atm gs but not as good as the k models.
Thanks for watching and for the comments, enjoy your GS and stay safe.
I dont find the indicators a problem.
I just got a mint k1100rs but it’s a bit uncomfortable. May go round up a fairly nice LT a few hours away with only 20k mile.
Good luck. What is it that is making the RS uncomfortable?
Low, narrow handle bars.@@ALifetimeMeasuredinMiles
