Man, I 100% needed this. Every video that I preplan the packaging does well. When I get lazy and figure it out after the video suffers. Doesn't matter how good the video is if no one is interested!

Very good. Especially the point about the packaging. I do think, however, that creators should cover more variety of topics to bring new things to the public's attention and show different perspectives. New ideas die when we only chase views & clicks.
good video ideas are not so much a challenge its finding the team to help, comments going up, informative content.

I started this channel a month ago and have 223 subscribers. I have a video that’s at 80k views right now. Channel is growing fast.

For anyone too lazy to search. His channel is called Basketball Club and it has 40k subs and 20m views in 11 months. About half the views come from 3 videos and there are 21 videos total

Thank you for sharing, I agree 💯 that’s what got me more views and subs, because I watch other channels and I get ideas from them and that inspire me to make my own brand, my own touch, I don’t copy other people work but I try to bring something new or different to the viewers so that I can compete with other channels, because copy and ideas will not get you anywhere, it may work for one video or two but then your channel eventually dies. Don’t be afraid to update and change your content and try new things, because that’s how you can grow your channel, to go above and beyond your comfort zone! Make people feel your own touch so that they keep coming for some more! Good luck to everyone! You can do it, just don’t be afraid to try new ideas and give it sometime! ❤

This advice is fine, but up to this point, I feel like, I should just make videos of subjects I want to talk about, whether it's valid or not. I'm too true to myself to make titles or thumbnails that draw people in. If they want to watch it, that's their choice. Besides, you can't really make successfully on UA-cam anymore with the way the platform is constantly changing like a video game patch update. When I come up with videos, it's because I care about the subject, or want to teach something, and if I like the video, then chances are, other people will too.

Do video dislikes impact anything? I'm noticing more dislikes on some of my videos that are in the NFL niche where it seems the opposing team's fans have found my video previewing the game on Sunday.

Every single video about building your channel doesn't acknowledge that new creators are not able to edit there thumbnails at all until your channel is verified and starts getting traffic.

My channel was getting really good traction….but now I have transitioned my niche and it has slowed down drastically….I’m in a stuck season of how to regain traction
"audience interest" does not necessarily stop me from uploading videos that aren't getting as many views......I keep doing it because maybe the audience does not know it should be interested YET and MAYBE with time and multiple videos on the topic, the audience COULD get interested........we'll see!!

And this is the problem! Just listen to all being said in this video. In one short sentence, UA-cam / UA-cam's algorithm is dictating what you are to think and dictating how YOU craft YOUR videos and YOUR ideas! Is anyone even paying attention to this?
Just listen to this guy.. when you step back and actually comprehend what he is saying, it's like creating sheep simply to appease an algorithm? Yea, I get it.. you want a UA-cam check.. so you need views. Then I wish MANY of you would drop the "I'm a Creator" title, because you're actually far from a 'creator'. You've just mastered crafting thumbnails, video titles, content to APPEASE UA-cam.. period.
Why isn't or better yet, what happened to being a true professional and creating content that YOU THINK is good? Craft your content to appease YOUR algorithm? It's called being creative and your views come ORGANICALLY! Like it's supposed to be.
