- My first attempt at making a location video was not quite up to snuff. A few years back i went to Texas again to cure my self of the dreaded vertical camera syndrome and get some much better footage for a much better video.

I've been there a few times, with two different owners. The first time it was called the "junction house" and i had a really awesome country fried steak. The last time i went it was called the "grand central cafe" and it wasn't bad but not as good as the first. I had a giant burger, and it was frozen burger patties for instance. That being said, the people were great every time i went and they were really accommodating to us horror fans. The BBQ from the remake actually sells BBQ too, and they were great! when in texas i say they are both killer stops!
Thanks for the information mate. I am from the UK unfortunatley so by the time I get around to going there I dont know if these locations will still even exist. Which is why I appriciate your videos very much as its potentially the closest I will ever get. I would love to go visit these locations though as well as Friday the 13th, Evil Dead, Blair Witch and so many more.
+CrimsonElder that's why I started making videos! So many places have changed or have been torn down. Most of these sites though are pretty safe as is Friday the 13th. There's almost NOTHING left from the evil dead. With Blair witch the Rustin par house was torn down very shortly after the movie released.

Holy shit! I never realised in the movie how long the driveway to the road was. Just getting to the road to try and flag someone down would have you exhausted
classic, 2003 movie was the best
part 3 was my favorite

Excellent movie
Aside from its creepy as cities Texas is a beautiful place to visit. I've been there a few years back and drove through the state with my family and those roads I do not mess with you'll go hours without hitting a store or seeing a single house just pure desert.
If you want to see that original 1973 Leatherface house BEFORE it was moved to Kingsland and was still totally creepy, check out the video titled Visit to "Texas Chainsaw Massacre Film House Round Rock." They got footage right before it was moved.
2003 and 2006 are the best ones

sadly couldnt make it all the way through the 2003 movie had to fast forward it. Respect it as a 2000's era horror and people seem to like it. Nothing beats the original.
i have mixed feelings on it honestly.
that being said, there are WAY worse movies than that.

It wasn’t that far generally speaking, but I wouldn’t want to walk it in the Texas heat.
Honestly most of the TCM locations are close to each other… only the OG house is a bit of a drive and even then it’s only an hour out of Austin.
@@exnoctem ahhh okay nice to finally have that cleared up...in the movie they made it seem like it was just a mile away and they just had to walk through some back wood trial to get to it lol.

You people think the movie was a joke it really did happen in 1973 my brother in law and sister in law talked about this house two years ago they even went inside that house my sister in law was freaking out she felt this negative energy inside the house and fed from that evil energy

@@coreyjeffersonracing387 the real guy never used a chainsaw to kill people, he would dig up graves and cut the faces off dead people and wear them as masks, that’s the only similar thing to the movie and he’s named leather face, but they added everything else for the movie
