You know when you have watched a lot of Laura's videos when you can spot something that you know Laura is going to pick up to see the markings!
Or...when you are actually out thrifting yourself and find something you know she'd love and wish you could pick it up for her 😆
😂😂 I was just thinking that. I can never open my own EBay store because it would just be a replica of Laura’s because I’m brainwashed to her style.😜
@@vjhreeves Right! I saw a teak ice bucket and wondered if Laura has one or would want it!
Laura! Today I scored a yellow bitossi lamp worth $1200 at goodwill for only $6.99!!! I thought of you as I did a happy dance in the parking lot 😂 🎉
Ahhh congratulations!!!!
That's wonderful!
WOW! Epic find!
Hi Maria Mesiti how do you find out how much the lamp is worth that you found? Please let me know
Nice to see that you picked the vase made by Arabia, Finland. It’s handpainted, design Hilkka-Liisa Ahola, worth 70 euros. Greetings from Finland.
You should get a hope chest for your niece and start putting thrift finds in
Swirls 🍥
Great idea Donna!!
That's a great idea
Nothing better than walking in a new to you antique mall! Love that feeling...
It's interesting she's drawn to spirals,,they mean, birth,rebirth, evolution, awareness,,radiance of cosmic energy,,,love it 😀 ❤
I feel like swirls represent energy for healing, for good vibes, for life...
Your niece is adorable. What a fun trip.💗
Looking forward to Part 2. You two are so much fun to watch, and make a great shopping team!
I always say as I watch your videos that you are so lucky to source on the West Coast. Now you see that we have to really dig for treasures in the Midwest! It's a different farmhouse and cutesy cow/pig/bear aesthetic in most of the midwest. Exciting that you found some treasures anyway!
Oh Laura, I saw things I could’ve bought!! Omg, thanks for sharing your adventures. ☺️
I live in Ky, so I'd add cutesy horse stuff to that list, lol. On the other hand, there's plenty of Ralph Lauren, Coach, and Talbots to be had :D
No kidding, right?
Go girls go !
I just donated the green club chair that you saw in the Salvation Army store ( in Burnsville ) …hilarious
What are the odds!!
@@leftcoastrevivals I hope you go to Stillwater & you have to hit Hunt & Gather!
Awww man you were in my neck of the woods and I didn't know it. 🤦♀️
(Minneapolis)
Glad you had a good time here. 😊❤️
Those first 2 GWs are like what we have here in los angeles. Mostly junk. You guys are spoiled in PNW!!
I am originally from Fargo so I can’t wait to see what you all thrift from there! PS Don’t miss the sculpture garden in Minneapolis if you have time. It’s pretty amazing!
Off topic, but I love Maya's nails!
She does them herself! She’s so good at them 😍
Cats by nina are very collectible and sell quick. I was so sad you didn’t get the bull. Fun video. I am obsessed with those triangle earrings
How fun to go shopping with your niece! She is like your apprentice.
She’s so sweet! We’ve been besties since she was a little girl so it’s so amazing to watch her grow up and that we share common interests 😊
The charioteer is Athena. Because she is the goddess of wisdom, the owl is logical.
The store Unique reminds me of a huge Savers - especially the packaged "little stuff" wall.
Awesome stuff!
Love when you and your niece go junkin, she knows her stuff, well done
Next time you head to the midwest, check out Pella, Iowa.. a dutch community with awesome local thrift stores plus the Windmill antique store. That antique store is stacked and packed floor to ceiling with tons of cool items. I'm talking like hoarder level. Lots of mid century items too!
Oh man...! I saw a ton a stuff I would've loved!🤩How exciting! You two look like you really enjoy each other's company... So fun! Thanks for another GREAT video!🤗
@32:05 - Ahhhhh! SOOOO much Bitossi.
@32:11 - Bitossi orange / yellow / black oval platter / tray spotted
@32:55 - The bird ashtray is a midcentury Fratelli Fanciullacci piece from Italy.
@34:10 That Bagni bull is SWOONY!!!
I love when your niece is with you! Great video. Looking forward to part 2. The black vase definitely balanced the look you were going for on the shelf. It’s Sunday morning here in Florida and after watching this you two have inspired me to get dressed and head out to our local antique mall in Mount Dora!
THE LASTED PLACE YOU WENT WAS PACKED WITH SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL THINGS THANKS FOR SHARING WITH US 🥰 🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🐝
I want those Pillsbury Doughboy candle sticks. My sister collects it, has been since the 80s.
My Left Coast Girl is at it again!! 🎉🎉🎉🧡🧡🧡
Southside, yes!!!
Looks like you are having a great time Laura with your niece and her beautiful nails.
Yes, you have a better chance to find high-end pieces in antique stores than in Goodwill in Midwest.
Wait for part 2! 🙌😍
I cannot believe you didn’t buy the cat bowl once you found the matching mug; your niece obviously liked them. And they were so colourful
So much fun. Can’t wait for part two!!!
I just found your channel. You speak my love language. 😊❤
I lived in MN for 5 years and I loved thrifting there. The shops in MN are so much better than in VA where I live now. I don't know why.
The 2 of you make such an adorable shopping team. I enjoyed this video!
Goodwills in the Twin Cities are not worth the effort of stopping. They used to be so much better for vintage, but have changed over the past 5 years or so. Other thrift stores in the area are much better! Currently watching this a second time to try to figure out which locations you were at, so I can go tomorrow and see if a few things I spied are still there 😃 Glad you were able to find a few goodies!
Oh I hope you find the spots!! This was just filmed last week so it’s absolutely possible!
Savers and other stores are better. Or the ones downtown
@@MacDonaldPaula if you come back you can hit up Flying Pig & Mall of Saint Paul too . I miss south mpls Savers so much :'(
I cannot get over how tidy the Goodwills and Salvation Army are in Minneapolis! Ours in FL are disaster areas. And usually PACKED with shoppers.
And, Maya, I have the exact same attraction to swirl designs!
The ones I've been to in FL are not that cheap! But they do have good sales. My friend and I always hit up the charity shops--lots of old folks donating their stuff in Florida, lol! It's a good place to thrift coats and sweaters! This summer I got some furry hats at a Florida charity shop. I'll def need them in my state.
@vjhreeves- AGREED! Virginia's are so junky as well.
I was JUST in Hopkins yesterday (I live only 25 minutes away from there)! Wish I could have seen you. Love your style, but especially your taste in jewelry (drool)......
It was such a fun antique mall!!
OMG! I can’t believe you were here! I ♥️ Pete’s! I agree our Goodwills are hit or miss - I’ve found some great things, but their prices have gotten outrageously high…Uffdah! (as we sometimes like to say in Minnesota).😉
There’s so many great places to check out. Glad you found some treasures in our neck of the woods. Next time you’re headed to the Twin Cities please feel free to reach out I’d be happy to show you some of our favorite junking spots and some of our yummy places to eat! (You betcha!)👍🏼
Loved seeing all the places you got to go and treasures you picked up!
Yeah, den! 😆
Yeepee yehey!!! New vlooog!!! Watching from the Philippines 🇵🇭...i love your GREAT FINDS...
I used to live in White Bear Lake when my dad was stationed there.
I live in Minnesota and I literally drool when I watch your videos. I was cracking up at how fast you guys whipped through the Goodwills and had the music going most of the time 😂
Our Goodwills suck. Bottom line. Sooo glad you got to some of our smaller vintage stores. Come back to our Goodwills in another 30 years and all of the cool stuff will be there 😂
😂😂😂 They sure aren’t like back at home!!
I also live in Minneapolis, our goodwills are really hard to find good things in honestly. I gave up going to them and now I just go to the smaller mom and pop thrift stores.
@@leftcoastrevivals your Goodwills are the best I’ve seen on the internet and of all I’ve visited in person.
Those spotted glasses. Wow.
@@Crybaybee Same here in Upstate NY. Even junk is highly priced, and not just at the Goodwills.
Yay!!! Minneapolis is where I live! Been watching your videos for awhile now- so wish I could’ve met you! Even though the haul wasn’t robust, you managed to find great stuff as usual- and I’m so glad you got that Bitossi! Looks fabulous!
Welcome to the Midwest where you get all excited watching a Left Coast Revival video, go out thrifting, and wah wah wah, realize our thrifting will just never be anywhere near the par you are able to get. 🤣
😂😂😂 YES! But wait for episode 2 Minneapolis! We scored some awesome stuff!!
The little owl and the purple flower vase were my favorite. That bull was gorgeous.
Yall are too cute!! So happy for these episodes... yeay!!❤ thank you for the upload!!❤
One thing’s for sure; you need more black and white stuff ( not only because they are my favourites, I think they creates a strong definition and stand’s out in a beautiful way)❤❤❤
Oh my gosh my old stomping grounds. I loved thrifting there in the towns outside of Minneapolis have great thrift stores too.
Oh my gosh! That dollhouse right when you came in! I would have bought that to redecorate and redo.
I saw that, too. Wouldn't know what to do with it--but it definitely had potential in the right person's hands.
I was watching on and off until you stopped into Groovy's - that's my friend Julia's store! 🖤
3 suggestions for next time: St. Vincent De Paul, Old School by Steeple People, and Hunt and Gather. I also think you may have missed our largest Salvation Army store, with the "secret" basement level.
It's so fun to see people as excited about thrifting as I am!
What amazing finds, what a trip! I’m already excited for part two!
That first goodwill you stopped at is one of my favorites, and the one I frequented in college because it was just down the street!
I live south east of Mpls & the Salvation Army (our Goodwill closed several years ago) in my town always has junk. I guess I need to venture out to some surrounding areas.
Such a fun trip! I love all the Bitossi's!! I found one at a thrift store for $5 once. It was so exciting!
Minnesota girl here, Turquoise Vintage is amazing!! Lots of fantastic little spots to thrift at and the prices get better the further you get from the cities!
Here you are traveling all over the place thrifting and it takes me forever to get my husband to take me to just one store at a time. I wouldn't have passed up so many unique pieces as you did in Minnesota. That was fun.
Why don’t you just drive yourself or call Uber? You are missing out on life! You both would probably enjoy some independence.
@@Lynne2106 yes I would enjoy more independence, but we're 2 old farts who are stuck in our ways. Besides, he is my caregiver and a good cook!
Another great video. Good to see Maya again🙂 Cats by Nina is a very good resale brand. The candle stick Maya found at 16.23 looks like Trench art which can be worth lots of money.
Those Goebel Hummel plates you passed up are a good buy
Come to Anoka Minnesota they have loads of antique malls, and if your in the golden valley area go to empty the nest.
Two video's whitin two days....I'm so glad! Always waiting eagerly for your video's!
I like her swirls. we all have that one thing that draws us. It's a personal "like"
That was so fun!!!!❤
Love your thrifting adventures.
Great video! I love arm chair thrifting with you!
Love you teaming up with your niece and wow what a great finds
The Purple Trumpet Vase that you looked at the first Goodwill was definitely worth picking up. It has a value of $35 - $45.00. I haven’t seen them even in the thrift stores priced less then $9 - $10 dollars.
That is my Salvation Army and my Unique!!! So much product to source.
I bet you find great stuff at Unique! It was awesome 👏
Good stuff, especially cool vintage, is a wee bit hard to find here, lol...hope you enjoyed your stay though! Fun vlog!
The Greek horse was my favorite
Thrilled to see you in my city...lots of treasures
Those colourful earrings are Indian. I have a pair with only green coloured glass, I love them. I think I paid 2 euros for it, the lady didn't realise they were sterling. Thanks for sharing your finds, it's fun to see you find similar things on the other side of the planet 😊
Great finds when i grow up i wanna be just like you lol
The bins was located a few blocks down the street from the two story goodwill!
Enjoyed traveling with you to Minneapolis thrift stores they have so many beautiful things!😊
The brown bag is a vintage Court in British Tan. The black one was a Coach Willis (my favorite). Get a replacement Turnlock closure from Etsy. Use Lexol leather cleaner and a good conditioner like Bick 4. It will look beautiful once you are done.
It’s likely from the 90’s.
Yes! They were two different models. The handles are different. I have the black Willis, bought new around 1997. The only thing I don't like about it is how heavy it is, even with nothing in it.
i have shopped at unique for the month i stayed in MN i found it to be pricey, but i loved it ; and found so much good stuff. I love unique-since we dont have that in iowa or savers.
I ALWAYS have fun picking with you two! My niece is a picker and has already been selling vintage online. Lucky for me, she is moving from New Jersey to stay with my mother who is 3 blocks from me! I cannot wait to go picking with her!
Glad you went to Hopkins. Our Goodwills stink here ( in my opinion ). Bummed I didn’t run into you. 😊
A great trip Love the goodies you got
Laura, Stillwater, MN is an hour drive from the TC. Oct 1st is a fab art fair in an old river town with at least 10 great antique stores. Home to Fairbault woolen mills and great restaurants.
That unique store was so amazing. 😃
It was fun to see you stop at the Goodwills, which are on my regular rotation. I have found some good things to resell there, you just have to go fairly often. I have to check out Pete’s store, he has fabulous things.
Oh, I loved that black/white/orange cat mug that matched the bowl!!
That Unique store has to be owned by Value Village. Looked identical then you got to checkout and for sure it must be.
Yep. They own Savers as well
Love the wall colors.
Glad you two beautiful women had a wonderful time thrifting at Minneapolis love to thrift somewhere else from home town,😃😃😃😃😃
I'm a swirl/spiral girl too! I'm 65 and want to get my first tattoo, and I'm thinking I'd get an infinity sign with a couple spirals around it. Those stores you went to were great. I loved Unique. I always get excited when your video posts.
Oh my gosh that mid century modern plate with design in middle… ugh been looking for one . So cool
I was going to suggest the Unique! And here you are!! I have been there! It’s a great thrift store!! ❤
Same with me!
I would have loved to check out the earrings OMG! Loved browsing, too 😊
Value Village and Unique stores are owned by the same retailer. FYI! 😁
And Savers
Love everything you got. I like the little wooden dish--something that I started doing is to buy small wooden...bases, is what I think they are. They're for those small Chinese soapstone statues, but the statue is gone...each base is irregularly shaped and hand carved. I put them in my jewelry drawer and put jewelry on them.
Grate pieces X Grate trip with a thrift friend X
Very good thing you didn't pick up that fluted piece at 11:15, I used to work at a paint your own pottery store, thats a very cheap item we would order wholesale for customers to glaze. The D is for Duncan, the wholesale ceramic group!
I have that same pig platter. Mines marked Cracker Barrel. I thrifted mine or was gifted it around 7 years ago. I was surprised not to see C.B on bottom. Peace!
Cats by Nina are always so cute.
Wow! So cool you were in my state! Goodwill in my town has gotten so expensive.
Hope you enjoyed Mpls! 💚
I'm so stressed over here not being able to purchase all the things I'm loving on your trip! 😩😆
