Next time you head to the midwest, check out Pella, Iowa.. a dutch community with awesome local thrift stores plus the Windmill antique store. That antique store is stacked and packed floor to ceiling with tons of cool items. I'm talking like hoarder level. Lots of mid century items too!
I always say as I watch your videos that you are so lucky to source on the West Coast. Now you see that we have to really dig for treasures in the Midwest! It's a different farmhouse and cutesy cow/pig/bear aesthetic in most of the midwest. Exciting that you found some treasures anyway!
I am originally from Fargo so I can’t wait to see what you all thrift from there! PS Don’t miss the sculpture garden in Minneapolis if you have time. It’s pretty amazing!
I love when your niece is with you! Great video. Looking forward to part 2. The black vase definitely balanced the look you were going for on the shelf. It’s Sunday morning here in Florida and after watching this you two have inspired me to get dressed and head out to our local antique mall in Mount Dora!
Goodwills in the Twin Cities are not worth the effort of stopping. They used to be so much better for vintage, but have changed over the past 5 years or so. Other thrift stores in the area are much better! Currently watching this a second time to try to figure out which locations you were at, so I can go tomorrow and see if a few things I spied are still there 😃 Glad you were able to find a few goodies!
Oh man...! I saw a ton a stuff I would've loved!🤩How exciting! You two look like you really enjoy each other's company... So fun! Thanks for another GREAT video!🤗
Yay!!! Minneapolis is where I live! Been watching your videos for awhile now- so wish I could’ve met you! Even though the haul wasn’t robust, you managed to find great stuff as usual- and I’m so glad you got that Bitossi! Looks fabulous!
I live in Minnesota and I literally drool when I watch your videos. I was cracking up at how fast you guys whipped through the Goodwills and had the music going most of the time 😂 Our Goodwills suck. Bottom line. Sooo glad you got to some of our smaller vintage stores. Come back to our Goodwills in another 30 years and all of the cool stuff will be there 😂
I also live in Minneapolis, our goodwills are really hard to find good things in honestly. I gave up going to them and now I just go to the smaller mom and pop thrift stores.
I cannot get over how tidy the Goodwills and Salvation Army are in Minneapolis! Ours in FL are disaster areas. And usually PACKED with shoppers. And, Maya, I have the exact same attraction to swirl designs!
The ones I've been to in FL are not that cheap! But they do have good sales. My friend and I always hit up the charity shops--lots of old folks donating their stuff in Florida, lol! It's a good place to thrift coats and sweaters! This summer I got some furry hats at a Florida charity shop. I'll def need them in my state.
OMG! I can’t believe you were here! I ♥️ Pete’s! I agree our Goodwills are hit or miss - I’ve found some great things, but their prices have gotten outrageously high…Uffdah! (as we sometimes like to say in Minnesota).😉 There’s so many great places to check out. Glad you found some treasures in our neck of the woods. Next time you’re headed to the Twin Cities please feel free to reach out I’d be happy to show you some of our favorite junking spots and some of our yummy places to eat! (You betcha!)👍🏼 Loved seeing all the places you got to go and treasures you picked up!
Another great video. Good to see Maya again🙂 Cats by Nina is a very good resale brand. The candle stick Maya found at 16.23 looks like Trench art which can be worth lots of money.
1st time viewer here, and I've just watched a few of your videos. I can't believe how many Goodwills you have where you are. We have none that I know of anywhere. We do have Thrifty Shopper and ARC thrift store, and I love antiquing for a good vase!
Minnesota girl here, Turquoise Vintage is amazing!! Lots of fantastic little spots to thrift at and the prices get better the further you get from the cities!

Here you are traveling all over the place thrifting and it takes me forever to get my husband to take me to just one store at a time. I wouldn't have passed up so many unique pieces as you did in Minnesota. That was fun.
One thing’s for sure; you need more black and white stuff ( not only because they are my favourites, I think they creates a strong definition and stand’s out in a beautiful way)❤❤❤

Welcome to the Midwest where you get all excited watching a Left Coast Revival video, go out thrifting, and wah wah wah, realize our thrifting will just never be anywhere near the par you are able to get. 🤣

The Purple Trumpet Vase that you looked at the first Goodwill was definitely worth picking up. It has a value of $35 - $45.00. I haven’t seen them even in the thrift stores priced less then $9 - $10 dollars.
Those colourful earrings are Indian. I have a pair with only green coloured glass, I love them. I think I paid 2 euros for it, the lady didn't realise they were sterling. Thanks for sharing your finds, it's fun to see you find similar things on the other side of the planet 😊

You should let us know when your thinking of traveling to our cities. Most of us that thrift could tell you of our secret honey holes. I so enjoy your videos and now with your niece it’s extra special. Thank you Laura from all of us that can’t thrift anymore you make us smile.❤
I do! I shared I was doing a meet up in Fargo, ND on a few videos over the last few months here on YT and a bunch of times on Instagram 😊❤️ I got great polls on Instagram from locals with tips on where to visit 🙌
Hi Laura, maybe you and your niece have researched it already, but the American Indian meaning of the spiral in their art and jewelry is a symbol of life's journey. It's often combined with a handprint, which is a symbol for universal harmony. 😊
Can't believe you were in my next of the Twin Cities thrifting. Not surprised you it was slim pickins at the Goodwills - especially in the south metro (not enough older neighborhoods I think) and I find the prices at thrift stores in the Twin Cities to be so inflated compaerd to other parts of the country. Did you go to Stillwater? Interested to see how the Fargo leg of your trip goes.
I also found one of the blue and white cats! I sent you pictures on Instagram of it because it still had its sticker! It's from a brand called "The Proper Place" and it's from Winfield, KS :)
Crazy thing Laura. I live in Minneapolis and this past Monday I went to the first two Goodwills that you went to and you literally touched items that I was looking at and also passed up. A year ago, I was able to find several hundred items at these goodwills and had so much fun! I love your channel and I have been watching you for several months and I really enjoyed the trip you made up the coast and you were determined to fit as much as you possible could in your small vehicle! 😊
It was fun to see you stop at the Goodwills, which are on my regular rotation. I have found some good things to resell there, you just have to go fairly often. I have to check out Pete’s store, he has fabulous things.
Laura, Stillwater, MN is an hour drive from the TC. Oct 1st is a fab art fair in an old river town with at least 10 great antique stores. Home to Fairbault woolen mills and great restaurants.
Omg you’re here!!! I hope you went to the better goodwills. I see the first one you went to is my neighborhood goodwill. I go there often. Maybe I’ll run into you at the antique flea market at the state fair.
I love your videos. I have often thought about doing videos on my hauls, I love thrifting. Just to share the things I find. It's so fun. Your videos are great, and I love it because I get to see stores I'll probably never get to see in real life. Plus your energy is wonderful. You know when you have watched a lot of Laura's videos when you can spot something that you know Laura is going to pick up to see the markings!
Or...when you are actually out thrifting yourself and find something you know she'd love and wish you could pick it up for her 😆
😂😂 I was just thinking that. I can never open my own EBay store because it would just be a replica of Laura’s because I’m brainwashed to her style.😜
@@vjhreeves Right! I saw a teak ice bucket and wondered if Laura has one or would want it!
Laura! Today I scored a yellow bitossi lamp worth $1200 at goodwill for only $6.99!!! I thought of you as I did a happy dance in the parking lot 😂 🎉
Ahhh congratulations!!!!
That's wonderful!
WOW! Epic find!
Hi Maria Mesiti how do you find out how much the lamp is worth that you found? Please let me know
Nothing better than walking in a new to you antique mall! Love that feeling...
Nice to see that you picked the vase made by Arabia, Finland. It’s handpainted, design Hilkka-Liisa Ahola, worth 70 euros. Greetings from Finland.
As a Finn I smiled when she picked it up 😊
