I love living in New Zealand, everything is beautiful and you can drive 10 minutes in ANY direction and you arrive at a beach.
IF your going to a road trip...New Zealand is the place to be. The drone footage was incredible.

I very highly recommend a trip to Eastbourne, which is directly on the opposite side of the Wellington harbour. It’s a gorgeous small coastal village with loads of bush walks and things to do. It’s also where I live!!
I left my ❤ in New Zealand!!! I must return to get it back, will be difficult as NZ charm will keep me there.

Found this gem of a video. When you came back some much to see here in rotorua. Kerosene creek for a hot water waterfall, hot and cold for a "hot and cold" River swim. The squeeze if you have time for a boat trip. Definitely get trout fishing licenses and fish some of our local lakes here there are 16 to choose from. My favorite place to go and fish or walk is the whirinaki river in a village called minginui. Stunning native Bush out there. If you want to catch some monsters trout. Definitely go to the south island and fish twizel canals. Or fly fish the rivers there. Trout can be a couple of pounds to over 30lb+.

Next time both out fly fishing, might need do it early morning. Try using Carries or your fly on your pants to catch trout. Who knows might reel a good rainbow. 🤔🤔🤔. Have fun👍

Lake Taupo is beautiful and you can do freedom camping at few spots around the lake. We did it and it was awesome!

I live in Christchurch, more specifically a little place called Lyttelton, which I would recommend visiting!! Theres a little walkway near where I live which takes like 30 min to get to the top, its called the urumau reserve trail and the best way to access it is from reserve terrace, theres a gate at the bottom of the reserve between number 76 and 72. The view climbing up is amazing too! And if you feel like it you can go higher and theres some interesting bunker things up there, and more views of course, also its a local secret, which means no tourists. Check it out if you can! (if you're still in NZ)

If you want to learn even more, there's a book called "The Feather Thief" that came out recently, about a Victorian fly-tier that stole endangered bird specimens from a museum in the UK in 2008. It definitely has a lot of interesting information about the hobby!
