I can vouch for Gone Home, it’s actually a really great game. It’s not super fast-paced & action-packed, but if you like a good exploration game with a great story, then you’d like it. 🙃
Guess I'm not your audience, since I knew about 13 of the 15, and about half of them I own and played for either a bit, or through. But I'm curious about your age now, because you mention games like Journey, which was an award-winning title in many categories at its time. Duke Nukem Forever also isn't exactly unknown, since it was in development for so long and Duke Nukem was a big name for decades. I agree though, that some of these are true gems, not many gave a fair chance to, so they might be worth a second look.

Sorry but most of these titles might be hidden to some but gems they are not. In fact they are pretty much all average at best. That does not mean you can't enjoy them, just that there are better options, among hidden gems as well, in all these genres.

I hated it, it's a hot broken gloopy mess, but apparently so many people hold it as one of the best games ever made! I also played Remember Me long ago, and it was actually very good. It wasn't amazing, but it really managed to grab me in, and for me that's all that matters. Atlas Fallen I never played, but I have a feeling it's one of those games that get snubbed, only for it to become widely appreciated many years after its release. Duke Nukem Forever is neither hidden, nor a gem. It's really well known for how bad it turned out. How is it a gem worth playing? lol I mean, there are games out there that have gotten more shit than they deserved at launch and people started seeing the good in them only many years later, but DNF earned its shitty status.
it didn't really turn out as bad as people make it out though. it got hammered in reveiws because of it's long dev time , and the fact that the humor just didn't align with the social politics of 2011 (or today's) . the level design was ok with a few stand out spots. it's average review was 55-70% outta 100% though. problem is people today think that means bad. when in reality it means most fans of the franchise will enjoy it and we do. but it's nto for teh mainstream or the die hard FPSer fan that isn't already a duke fan. i really don't get what people expected from this The OG duke games were not these meaningful deep thought dives. the franchise was never a serious story game. shitty status ..no it was considered mediocre as a shooter, but an ok entry for fans. the only people that called it shitty outright were the now woke left that was upo and coming around 2011 buty now are full blown leftards.
I recommend Remember Me for its stunning visuals, interesting world and memory changing feature, but the combat might seem repetitive for some, and you only change memories like 4 times throughout the whole game. Same for the Echo - visuals and the world are great, but the gameplay is average.

Echo's adaptive AI is much simpler and more boring than this video suggests. There is a short list of actions the enemies can perform. All actions you perform during one round will be checked as "allowed" by the AI the next round. Like jumping or running. It only seems like an interesting system at a first glance, but quickly wears out.

I mainly focus on AA games so I know a lot of good games that people simply never heard about, I don't really recommend those games because people are too addicted to mainstream stuff, and AA games don't offer that, things like shiny graphics, obsessive hand holding and so on...So I know they are most likely to hate those games, even if I think they are very good. If you just look at the comments you can find the people I'm talking about.
Scars above is on sale I just bought it for like $7 on the PlayStation store. At that price it's worth it I don't know if I would pay more for any of these games
No 14 and 13 are realy incredible games I love but I do not like that Remember Me isn't for the newer cosoles. I have it only for the Xbox 360. Am I Alive is also great. Asura's Wrath is realy funny even at the start with the ULTRA boss fight😂! Scars Above is another hard but awesome Souls like or more Remnant like game. Remember Me is a wonderful puzzle game marred by an atrociously amoral protagonist and dull 3d AssCreed-derivative platforming. Yeah, the set pieces are pretty, but the truly innovative part worth playing it for - the memory remixes - are used like five times and take up a fifth of the playtime. The horrible "the protagonist thinks this is a good thing so it is a good thing" ending doesn't help any.
Yesssss!!! Majority of the concepts are amazing but the execution is poor... Except the dynamic music and the visual designs, that is top tier. But it falls short (not completely misses) on everything else. Still a nice B-tier-straight-to-dvd-movie-like 10 hours experience

Asuras Wraith is legit, completely insane but great game

Syndicate doesn't work on modern PC's and EA couldn't be bothered to make it worth a shit even back when it was relevant.
Gravity rush and Journey are the only one's and they are not hidden gems, they are well known. The rest is pure garbage.
