Descent is a fantastic game and the Nerekhall expansion is awesome. I have a playgroup coming over this weekend and we have plans to play this already. Great job Rob!
Oath of the Outcast would be right up there. Elder Mok and Trenloe the Strong are 2 very powerful Heroes and the Beastmen are super strong monsters. The Bane spiders are super cool and everything else in the box is good value.
I only have the base game, but my girlfriend likes this game a lot, so I'll need to pick up the expansions at some point. I'll use this video to decide the order. Thanks, Rob.
I'm just getting into Descent with Legends of the Dark, but I must say I like the classic look of second edition better. It's a little hard to find a copy in good shape in my country (the game was never released here on Brazil). I hope I find a copy soon so I can start looking for these expansions.
@@seahawk8601 came back here to tell you that indeed I have found a copy in excellent shape and I having a blast playing solo. Also managed to grab a copy of Shadows of Nerekhall, but I dont know when I will play it. Quick question: do the physical campaings play on the app or they are totally different things?
@@helderlimaletsgo The campaigns in the books are not on the app. The app has its own separate campaigns, but the more expansions you own, the more parts the app can use I believe.
If you compare Mage knight ultimate edition with expanions. How would you rate it against Descent 2nd edition? Also, are you hyped for the new upcoming Descent? :)
I have the app and you can play 1 small tutorial campaign, 1 large campaign with the original box. You can buy two additional adventures for a small fee that only req the original. Then you can play two additional full scale campaigns for free. One of them requires Shadow of Nerekhall and the other one requires both Lair of the wyrm and Labyrinth of ruin to play. But all the heroes and classes and monsters u get with the expansions can get mixed in if you play any of the buyable adventures or the first campaign to really mix it up. It's great! Then again, the app has some flaws with game mechanics in my world that is just wierd compared to playing without the app and having an Overlord. But overall, its great!

Dead? Just bought everything. The app has a new adventure and they have a new expamsion fo rmulti-classing. Almost everything is available on their site. And there is BBG and hundreds of fan made adventures on their creation site.
I love the story stretched across Mists of Bilehall to The Chains That Rust. Descent is still my favorite dungeon crawl!

After seeing Tom Vassals review of Descent Journeys kn the Dark
I came here for the memories
R.I.P Descent
i agree
Rob, do you have any "Hero and Monster Collection" expansions? And if so, would you do a Top 5 list of that?

This was great to watch! Very informative and I really like your delivery. 👌
I appreciate that!
Great video Rob. This video was very helpful as to which expansions to consider
Rob! I'd like to see your painted Descent collection - I'm currently working on my core box heroes.
That sounds great!
Thanks for posting this video. I just purchased the base game. I'll look forward to getting the expansions to this game as well.
If I get a chance to get the last two expansions you mentioned, that would be awesome 🤩
Fingers crossed!
Not adding the lieutenants was just a cash grab for FFG. I love Descent 2e though. Great video as usual.
Thank you

Nerekhall is one of the few expansions I have yet to pick up and it's been out of print for several months now :/
Nice one Rob. My Christmas list is getting longer. I agree with Luis Martinez, how about a top 10 dungeon crawl?
awesome! glad you have a video on this rob just gota copy of descent!
cool!!
I love descent - just wish they would hurry and restock as really want nerekhall but not available! Great vid more descent content please!
Getting on Amazon to order the expansions I don’t have from your list.

Love the review...and the fact you sound just like Neegan! Next review...get Lucille to join you!
The App makes this game perfekt for me. And offtopic have you seen the new Kickstarter from Dan Verssen? I know you love his games
Dungeon crawl top 10 list?
Can u add any of these expansion to a campaign thats already been started?
I'm pretty sure you can add the monsters, but you'd have to wait to add the missions/heros until you started a new campaign
yes
Did you ever do a review of the app and the campaigns that came with it?
i do not think so my friend

yes i am ....and it is hard to compare the two since they are so different
@@seahawk8601 Ok. Would you say that if u like Descent, u probably will like Mage Knight? :)
Thanks man. Really great review
thank you
Thank you for this!!!
Any time!
Do you have a username on FFG?
Does the app support the expansions?
yes it does!

Too bad this game is dead now so far as retail releases go. Seems they decided to focus on the Starwars licence.
I know......pisses me off

Are you dyslexic? Not a criticism just a question. You mispronounce pretty much every title.
No I am almost completely deaf. And can’t hear myself pronounce words it’s a struggle but I try to fight thru it
@@seahawk8601 I see. I am dyslexic myself and thought you might be too because I make very similar mistakes with pronouncing words.
