@antonsquaredme I had one of those moments where you're staring at a word for 10 seconds not sure if it looks right... it didn't get autocorrected so I assumed it was right. Should've Googled... my apologies!😂 I'll get it right next year
I'M SORRY I SPELLED FEBRUARY WRONG... It was a big edit and it got lost in the brain mush. I'll get it right next year... I promise!! 👍 Merry Crimbo, Happy New Year, Peace and Love to all!!💓
"Worst of" sounds like a really good series to do. Might be a bit litigious if you pick the wrong manufacturer of course... Chrimbly Merrymas to all the staff at Andertons!
I like watching people review stuff I can't get my hands on. Also, when they are reviewing, there's no salesperson hanging over them, like when I try out guitars.
I would love to see a video on the best sellers for 2024. Maybe they could sub-divide the categories into price categories?. Would be great to have a record of what the gear trends were this year.
You guys are like Guitar QVC with some great humour thrown in. I will admit I tend to only watch your videos but everything is well made and generally informative to some extent - Happy Christmas/Happy New Year all and good luck on your 1million
My favorite goty was the PRS SE CE 24 sandblasted. An amazing guitar at an incredible price. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. Very hard to put down.
All I want for Christmas is to wake up and see "Rosebud" under the Christmas Tree, then Christmas Magic happens and I can suddenly play as good as ol' Jer Bear! But being an Ameriburger, I'll settle for not wage slaving on Christmas day!
In my opinion the Pod Express pedals were the most important of all the pieces of gear mentioned in this video. With the exception of the looper and the acoustic with the looper, most everything else is nothing really new or special. The pod express guitar and bass are incredibly powerful and versatile, good sounding, affordable, and user friendly. I wish something like them existed when I first started playing guitar. And even now they’re a perfect tool for having something small and simple to practice with. And im temped to make the bass version the centerpiece of a bass pedalboard it’s just so good. The days of me caring about a new guitars, new gain pedals, reverbs, etc have kind of passed for me honestly. These days I’m caring much more about things that are just really well designed, are super versatile, and just sound great without too much fuss. I don’t need more guitars, or expensive single pedals
Great content and fun. Speaking of fun I think Lee and Pete would sound better with long hair. Robert Plant Curls for the Cap'n and Mark Farner '70s hair for Pete. Long hair day, please.
Love the best of! How about getting Victory to do a Tweed 55 version of their own for 2025? Great pedal but would be nice to have a British Valve amp version!
I love the idea of the electric guitar with effects on board and a pair of headphones and a looper pedal and sat on the par bench or on a hilltop. You can be in the nice wonderful world. All of your own explore improvise to your hearts content. God bless Ps nice! One about Ed. Sheeran looper X
Just a slight problem with your suggestion. The DS-2 is awesome when you know how to use it and secondly, they're both Distortion pedals. Not Overdrives.
@nmcgregor1990 They're both drive pedals and they are both garbage. A good pedal, you plug in, dry everything at twelve and go "That sounds good, that's added something good to my sound" not something that you have to spend hours fiddling with in a certain situation to get the same result.
@johnnymittens77 so you're not using anything like the Helix, Headrush, QuadCortex or any other multi fx or modellers, then, I presume. They usually involve diving into menus and twiddling a bit.
@@nmcgregor1990 Yeah, I have a Headrush. But with that, I know what I'm after, an OD into a JCM with my favourite IR and some effects. The only way my Headrush differs from my normal rig is that I haven't got a hundred kilos of gear to lug around. I know what I like and I like simplicity. I want to be playing with something I know is good, not sitting cross legged on the floor for ages, trying to forcibly extract the one usable sound a drive pedal has in it.
Definitely agree with the Tubescreamer. People always say its 'the sound' of so many classic artists but they forget that a lot of the classic artists didn't have as much choice as we do now! The Bluesbreaker is even better than a TS pedal and they only came around at the end of the 80's or maybe the 90's.
Wow. I've been told that your company isn't legit and it a scam company. You sell your own items under a different name and then promote them. I've bought from you. You are dodgy
Worst OD ever made: ehx operation overlord. I could forgive it sounding so bad if it was cheap, but it isn’t. Tried and tried and tried to like it, but it’s just awful.
5 worst overdrive pedals; When discussing "worst-ranking" overdrive pedals, it’s important to clarify that rankings can vary depending on personal preferences, music style, and tone preferences. However, certain overdrive pedals have garnered less-than-ideal reviews or have been criticized for certain qualities, such as poor build quality, overly harsh tone, or lack of versatility. Here are five overdrive pedals that have received mixed or negative feedback from some players: ### 1. **Behringer TO800 Tube Overdrive** - **Why it's ranked low**: While it is a very affordable option, the Behringer TO800 is often criticized for sounding too thin and harsh compared to other pedals in its price range. The build quality is also subpar, which leads to reliability concerns. - **Common issues**: Tinny sound, overly digital-sounding distortion, and poor durability. ### 2. **Danelectro 'Chicken Salad' Overdrive** - **Why it's ranked low**: While some players appreciate the quirkiness of Danelectro pedals, the Chicken Salad Overdrive has been criticized for its inconsistent tone. It tends to be overly noisy and lacks the warmth or smoothness many overdrive enthusiasts seek. - **Common issues**: Poor tonal control, noise issues, and somewhat artificial-sounding distortion. ### 3. **Mooer Blues Crab Overdrive** - **Why it's ranked low**: Mooer pedals are often praised for their compact size and affordability, but the Blues Crab has drawn criticism for its lack of dynamic response and somewhat muddy tone. While it may work for some users, it's often seen as less transparent and organic compared to other overdrives in the same price range. - **Common issues**: Muddy tone, limited tonal flexibility, and occasional reliability issues. ### 4. **Joyo Vintage Overdrive** - **Why it's ranked low**: Though Joyo pedals are known for their affordability, the Vintage Overdrive can be somewhat underwhelming. It’s often seen as lacking the warmth and richness found in more expensive overdrives. The pedal's tone can also be overly mid-heavy or harsh. - **Common issues**: Harsh or unrefined tone, lack of dynamics, and somewhat brittle sound. ### 5. **Harley Benton Overdrive** - **Why it's ranked low**: As a budget brand, Harley Benton offers a lot of value for the price, but some of their overdrive pedals, like the one labeled simply "Overdrive," are often criticized for their overly basic, unpolished tone. The lack of clarity and punch, along with the pedal's generally generic sound, leads to a less-than-stellar reputation. - **Common issues**: Bland or muffled tone, low durability, and lack of definition. ### Caveat: These pedals might still work well for certain musical styles or setups. The criticism they receive doesn't necessarily mean they are "bad" pedals, but rather that they may not stand up to the expectations of players seeking nuanced, high-quality overdrive tones. For many budget-conscious musicians, these pedals may still represent good value for money in certain contexts. Always take reviews with a grain of salt, as some players may appreciate features that others don't. This is the answer i got from openAI. Would be interesting to see how you and pete would find these.
Watching Andertons keeps me sane in times of need. Thank you very much for that, yall have brought me great joy and taught me a lot about gear!

The Strymon reverb for me. The ethereal sounds that Pete coaxed out of that little box were truly epic. Thanks for all the fun and enlightenment.

My gear of the year is the UA enigmatic because i like it and it’s the only brand new product i purchased all year.

Honestly it's a crime that you guys eliminated Rabea's Music Man in round 1. That's one of the best looking guitars in years

Danelectro overdrive pedals are horrible
M Audio Crunch Box. Awful !
Options for worst overdrive, Ibanez tube screamer, jhs morning glory, jhs bonsai. The problem is someone’s worst is always someone else’s favorite. 😆✨
