Very interesting to hear the differences and iodine's importance. I switched to Himalayan salt a while back.

Thanks for watching! In the video, Dr. Christianson points out the concerns of getting TOO much iodine, especially for those people with Hashimoto's. Information that's definitely on the forefront!

Really informative interview! I haven't used regular table salt for over 25 years. I use sea salt. Of course, it's everywhere in pre-packaged and restaurant foods so I'm sure I've had some without knowing.

YES! I agree so much. Salt is critical for the human body and it's so important to understand the differences in the source of the salt we are eating. I have learned a lot from Dr. Christainson over the course of my healing journey, particularly in the area of his thoughts on iodine. Amazing that you got him on your show!

Definitely a new perspective on it all, that will give an avenue to pursue for those with Hashimotos (possibility of getting too much iodine!) Thanks for watching!

How do you know that you low in iodine

Hi Danny! There are some lab options, urine test being most accurate. Or working with a dietitian to tally your intake and figure out if you’re getting enough that way
