I have to say that as a fellow Montrealer I would LIKE to say that Stroll is a good racer but in all objectivity, I have to say that he does NOT belong on an F1 grid. He is also an embarrassment in interviews - there are other drivers WAY more deserving of an F1 drive!
He's not the worst driver ever in F1, but there are so many drivers who should be in F1 and would be if he wasn't keeping this seat warm. However, the worst thing about F1 is the president of the FIA saying that the only way into F1 as a team is to buy a team. Jordan came up the ranks, started small, and were successful. Only billionaires can join now, seats will be limited, and rich boys and old drivers will take up track space.

I always expect this from The Grid, the journalism has just been getting worse and worse, desperate for quantity at the cost of quality. I feel as if this video is missing both the point and the big picture of what is wrong with F1. This video is great for clicks and all but there are a lot more serious issues with the sport right now, especially with MBS leading it where he is. There has always been rich sons in F1, its a sport you need to be a millionaire to have a chance at unless you're a prodigy like Lewis or Schumacher, and yet since the beginning of the sport you have you still have these media pundits crying about how THIS is the issue right now, THIS is the greatest thing we need to be scared about, but it is never going to change, and this sensationalism isn't going to really help the sport either, just create more negative and derivative arguments that go nowhere and fix nothing. Who cares if it hurts the team, they're the ones who deal with the consequences. the viewer just gets to sit back and laugh at them, so I don't see what's worth crying about. This sport deserves better journalism, and with the like of walker gone, and Brundle getting up there, all we have is meaningless sensationalism like this replacing them, which in my opinion is a lot worse for the sport than some rich kid getting a seat. This is F1, its one of the most expensive sports in the world, that's the point of it, it's cutting edge. There's always WEC, Touring car, even WRC out there, with some of the most talented drivers around. I do not understand why those crying about this not go watch those sports? They are just as good if not better spectator sports.
As a Canadian F1 fan for over 60 years, I find Lance Stroll colourless, privileged, lacking talent, and embarrassing. Of course, we have had other Canadians who haven't made much impact; Nicholas Letifi comes to mind. Long gone are the days of Gilles Villeneuve. It would be wonderful to have someone like Villeneuve represent Canada in F1.
There always have been, and always will be, drivers on the grid whose name and family money got them there. Some have been pretty good and others, like Stroll, have been making up the numbers and keeping someone better or more deserving out of F1. That’s racing. That’s life.
Imagine there would be no Latifis, Mazepins, Sargeants and (Mick) Schumachers. Then he would not just be the most arrogant and dangerous, but also the slowest driver every single season.
this is a proof of how shameless FIA is, like it's been giving a pay driver with no spatial awareness 8 years of taking a seat that should've been someone else's and now that he's extended his contract, we'll see this horrible excuse of an f1 driver longer or maybe his dad's just gonna throw money at FIA once they come knocking on his door
It shows that it always needs talent to be at the top runners. I mean his father even own a freakin racetrack. Michael Schumacher's father Rolf only owned a karting track. But by beginning early he perfected the talent he was born with. With Lance, there's just not the talent required for the biggest shot, F1. That doesn't mean he wouldn't suceed in tourers or Le Mans for example. He's still much faster than 99% of the world population like other not so successful F1 drivers. But its not enough for F1
Plain fact is no one can get into the upper levels of Motorsport without money or the correct connections is as always been that way. even the Gentlemen races of the 30's and 30's had to have money or wealthy Patrons, willing to give them cars or financial support. F1 is full or Drivers that paid their way into drivers or had their drives paid for at various points in its History. The Guy must have some talent after all he had to move through the lower tiers of open wheel racing to get a seat in F1. But how many have then lacked the talent to take it up that extra gear to challenge for the biggest prize in Motorsport. So many highly rated lower tear Open Wheel Champions have made it to F1 then never managed to progress before finally quitting F1 and finding their feet in things like WEC or Sports cars or Touring Cars racing. I think this is all down to his Father chasing a dream that will not happen after so long in F1 one can only imagine How Lance feels with his Fathers lofty targets for his son. I doubt anyone in the teams dares to tell Mr Stroll that his Dream is never going to happen and maybe for the team to progress they need to bring in two drivers that can improve the teams development and bring in more investment. His son can continue racing in a lower Motorsports Championship, He can even buy a team for him, but for the sake of Aston Martin things need to be changed.

Ive said it in other videos, but assuming that Perez leaves too, here is a list of drivers that have LESS experience than him: - Bortoleto - Albon - Hadjar - Tsunoda - Ocon - Bearman - Gasly - Doohan - Russel - Antonelli - Leclerc - Piastri - Norris Drivers with a very similar level of experience, 2 years on 3 year career is a big difference, 2 years in 8 year career is nothing - Sainz - Verstappen The sole 3 drivers with considerable more experience: - Hulkenberg - Hamilton - Alonso There are 5 teams which BOTH DRIVERS, COMBINED, are LESS experienced than Stroll: VCARB, Haas, Alpine, Mercedes and McLaren
It’s a well done video with some very strange mistakes. Guy said Stroll started carting at 10 years old. Moments later Stroll says in an interview that he started at 8 years 🤔. Then he said he score 74 point when it says 47. Minor but cmon
We’ve had worse in F1 like Mazepin but Lance at his skill level has had far too many years that typically get a driver one year, maybe two max in F1. The crash into Ricciardo really put a bulls eye on him, deservedly so, after flying under the radar for so long. I expect Tsunoda takes his seat due to Honda, likely a condition of getting Honda motors.
The funniest thing is that Lawrence Stroll said within 5 years he wants the team to be challenging for titles, how does he expect to do that with Lance sandbagging the team who is routinely getting outpaced by every team mate, still makes rookie mistakes and clearly doesn't learn from said mistakes.
He did win the 2016 FIA Formula 3 European Championship that included George Russel and Lando Norris plus the Toyota Racing Series which is a better race record than Haas new recruit for the 2025 season
This is one of main reasons that keeps F1 from reaching heights it could, it's unrelatable to most people because of this. It's not the best that get the seat.
This can all be explained in a succinct, proven metric. It's jam licked off windows, per square inch. RPM beat you to this. Almost like RPM finishes fast and early.....and we're all a bit disappointed when its over.
Here is what I will say in Lance Stroll's favour. 1 - It's not that his privilege got him into F1 (many can say that), it's that his flashes of talent and success seem to show he COULD be a lot better, that he DID deserve a seat in F1 (although probably not 8 seasons of them!), but he takes it for granted because Daddy will guarantee him a seat next season. So he doesn't push himself and learn, develop, or humble himself which is required to move forward. 2 - There have been pay drivers with worse credentials. The fact is that in his junior years he was mixing it with some elite drivers and beating them. But again, he didn't move forward from there like he should have, and one can't help but attribute this to his spoiled position in life and inability to humble himself. 3 - I'm starting to dislike Russell even more than Stroll. They both blame everyone else for their mistakes, they both come across as arrogant, but at least Stroll seems to know that everyone hates him whereas Russell is deluded and still seems to act like he has a reputation to protect. Therefore I almost have to mute my phone when I hear Russell talking, it's just cringe. I can at least sit through Strolls talking now and just laugh and call him an asshole. He is a level below Russel

I don't like how Alonso's car is performing so bad now and strolls is seemingly still the same.
Seb rejoining in front of Lance was entirely Seb's fault. Pretty much everything else was Lance's.
Thought that
the point of that incident was that Stroll immediately did the exact thing to other drivers, but managed to do it in a more dangerous manner. It's part of his lack of awareness and ownership of his need to improve.
@@jeffkeith637 But that's not what he showed. He showed the part where Stroll was the victim.
@@j4s0n39 yes, I think he was letting us fill in the rest - a good story-telling technique
@@jeffkeith637 not really since we know the context of what happened later but someone who didn't watch during that season may not know and just see the victim part in this video
I often hear people justifying Lawrence's purchase of Force India as him saving the team. Truth be told, he was the one who was offering to pay the most. That team would have been purchased regardless. He found a backdoor into the sport that Andretti can's seem to find.
Can people believe Lance Strolls interview about super licensing and paid drivers…… What a role model….. 😂 let’s be honest without his Daddy he would never have made it thru the Junior market
Even a street racer can whip his ass in a race.
@@LamiaLover Bullshit
@@f1jones544 no cap. Stroll can't even go one race without smashing into someone or the wall.

@@timoverdijk2716 what a disgusting thing to say. You’re a bitch.
Its racing it always been about the money and if you have enough you can get a ride in any racing discipline.
He makes it seem I can do F1 if I was rich .
He has the worst example of a father! "Son you're not good enough to earn it on your own, let me buy it for you!" Meanwhile the kid has no swag and no respect from his peers.
Aston Martin have Drugovich on the reserve driver seat, one of the best drivers in F2 that would destroy stroll on the track, but i guess papa Stroll doesn't care about winning at all, and are just paying for his son to have a very expensive kart race
Daddy always gave me everything I wanted (CASH!)
Daddy worked his ass off, I just went and flaunted (CASH!)
Daddy put me in F1 where I will cause a (CRASH!)
Some drivers trust in talent, I just trust in Daddy's (CASH!)
Also, lance would've got smoked in F2. Unless he owned the team, he would've scored zero points
Stroll is that characterless NPC on the grid in a racing-game.
Honestly I think the hunger games like FIA is worse than Stroll, so no, he is not "Everything" wrong with F1.
He’s not a bad driver,just not good
A team principal who constantly heaps praise on a talentless hack is worse than useless. Mike Krack is a corporate yes-man who lives under a cloud of delusion. Along with Lance, Mr Krack needs to go.
F1 needs a Canadian F1 driver.
Mick wasn't slow, he did better than Magnussen in most races. He just had a couple of bad crashes Haas couldn't afford.
Lance is the modern day Veruca Salt.
The one from Willy Wonka 2005 right?
That’s sexist, and racist
He’s way better than Perez today
Rumor has it that his father is very rich.
Rather different approach to RPM's video lol!
Both videos complement each other nicely though. My hate for Stroll only gets stronger haha
this is a proof of how shameless FIA is, like it's been giving a pay driver with no spatial awareness 8 years of taking a seat that should've been someone else's and now that he's extended his contract, we'll see this horrible excuse of an f1 driver longer or maybe his dad's just gonna throw money at FIA once they come knocking on his door

When I hear all the reasons my wife lists about why she hates F1 I say “oh that’s just lance stroll.”
1:14 contact avec latifi 😂these 2 been cooking since childhood
I am convinced there'll be a rear bumper for an Anti-Stroll bar.
*And we thought Pastor Maldonado was worse*
The Maldenader was preceded by Andrea DeCrashours as destroyer of F1 cars, and not just his F1 cars. All the drivers were in peril of being a victim of both those drivers.
Now we got Lance stroll taken out the title of destroyer of F1 cars.
Also. The despicable fact that Lance Stroll never owns up to being the fault of any F1 accident that he is part of.

Lance strolled into the wall...
Stroll bought his max level character without learning how to use it during the leveling process.
0:55 controversy implies there are people arguing for him🤣
You know what's more shocking... than 10 years later, Lance has the same voice
Lance Stroll is like the guy who played FlatOut and Wreckfest too much.
Lance Stroll has made CK completely forget Nikita Mazepin!
Moment Lance gets to F1 he literally fell harder than a pidgeon hit by a rock
I would like to see him leave. And put someone like Felipe Drugovich in his seat.
I would like to know when Daddy is going to pay his international bills ?

Not 2 years.
Ive said it in other videos, but assuming that Perez leaves too, here is a list of drivers that have LESS experience than him:
- Bortoleto
- Albon
- Hadjar
- Tsunoda
- Ocon
- Bearman
- Gasly
- Doohan
- Russel
- Antonelli
- Leclerc
- Piastri
- Norris
Drivers with a very similar level of experience, 2 years on 3 year career is a big difference, 2 years in 8 year career is nothing
- Sainz
- Verstappen
The sole 3 drivers with considerable more experience:
- Hulkenberg
- Hamilton
- Alonso
There are 5 teams which BOTH DRIVERS, COMBINED, are LESS experienced than Stroll: VCARB, Haas, Alpine, Mercedes and McLaren
I expect Tsunoda takes his seat due to Honda, likely a condition of getting Honda motors.
watch them sack alonso when the time comes lmao
Love the title! Privileged boy
Great video
One thing money cannot buy is skill lance.
Lance Stroll is basically a professional Go-Karter.
8:33 😂😂😂
Almost puked with this comparison
This time "experienced driver" means nothing
F1 lost racing integrity years ago
stroll back then, papa I want an F1 car, expecting a nice 1:18 F1 model. Being too rich to comprehend, senior stroll actually bought an F1 team
Lance: damn it dad, now its a job and no longer a hobby. F1 model papa, F1 model not the whole team damn it
*RocketPoweredMohawk intensifies*
The Strolls are a stain on Canadian racing.
He's still got a way to go before reaching the quality of Paul Tracy's skidmark.
lol, most of the grid has parents worth 100 million plus.
This guy makes watching F1 cringeworthy seriously cannot believe such a liability is allowed to be on the track this sport should ban privileged rich kids from buying their seat the ignorance is dangerous
