He's not the worst driver ever in F1, but there are so many drivers who should be in F1 and would be if he wasn't keeping this seat warm. However, the worst thing about F1 is the president of the FIA saying that the only way into F1 as a team is to buy a team. Jordan came up the ranks, started small, and were successful. Only billionaires can join now, seats will be limited, and rich boys and old drivers will take up track space.
Aston Martin have Drugovich on the reserve driver seat, one of the best drivers in F2 that would destroy stroll on the track, but i guess papa Stroll doesn't care about winning at all, and are just paying for his son to have a very expensive kart race
Stroll totally dominated the 2016 F3 championship and has been phenomenal in the wet, being the youngest person to win an F1 pole under those conditions. That said, he is certainly not keeping pace with Alonso and he does crash a lot. As far as money is concerned, look around. There have only been a tiny handful of F1 drivers who have not come from at least wealthy families. It is like criticizing polo players for being so rich. And as far as being the worst is concerned, he is vastly better than Mazepin was.
I have seen this in amateur hockey. A father driving his son to play a sport he was unable to play regardless of the wishes of the child. Lance doesn't want to be there.. Its easy to read... Lawrence is willing and able to spend his fortune pushing his son. Lance said at one point he would rather play tennis. I say let him. Before his fathers dream turns into a nightmare of the worst kind.
I think he's learned a lot from his mistakes and veteran teammates. He needs to train his peripheral vision. Zhou and Sargeant are definitely not coming back next season.
This can all be explained in a succinct, proven metric. It's jam licked off windows, per square inch. RPM beat you to this. Almost like RPM finishes fast and early.....and we're all a bit disappointed when its over.
I didnt realise how much his dad was involved even before lance entered f1 territory. I dont like the guy but i used to give him some credit for his early career. Now im not so sure..
From what I see of Lance Stroll he seems quite capable. He's not last in every race is he? Yes, he's had a leg up from his rich father, I'd do the same for my son in the same position. Would you ? I see no harm in indulging the family in something really interesting, exciting, and at the peak of engineering and driving skill. Is it just jealousy, people who don't see the overall picture of a rich man who loves his family and encourages his son to succeed at the highest level in the world?
While I agree that Lance have underperformed, he might still be among the top drivers in the world. Success in other categories rarely translates in F1 pace. We have had countless F2, Indy, WEC and FE champions doing nothing in F1.
Honestly, Lance seems like a nice guy. Just wished he worked a bit harder to improve on his driving skills to show that all the investments his dad makes on him to be worth it.
Your video just revealed to me that Stroll is much more qualified to drive in F1 than I thought. How can you fault him for not surpassing teammates like Perez, Alonso, Massa and Vettel? His pre-F1 career was quite successful too. Even though I disagree with your conclusion, thanks anyway for digging up and presenting all the info.
Here is what I will say in Lance Stroll's favour. 1 - It's not that his privilege got him into F1 (many can say that), it's that his flashes of talent and success seem to show he COULD be a lot better, that he DID deserve a seat in F1 (although probably not 8 seasons of them!), but he takes it for granted because Daddy will guarantee him a seat next season. So he doesn't push himself and learn, develop, or humble himself which is required to move forward. 2 - There have been pay drivers with worse credentials. The fact is that in his junior years he was mixing it with some elite drivers and beating them. But again, he didn't move forward from there like he should have, and one can't help but attribute this to his spoiled position in life and inability to humble himself. 3 - I'm starting to dislike Russell even more than Stroll. They both blame everyone else for their mistakes, they both come across as arrogant, but at least Stroll seems to know that everyone hates him whereas Russell is deluded and still seems to act like he has a reputation to protect. Therefore I almost have to mute my phone when I hear Russell talking, it's just cringe. I can at least sit through Strolls talking now and just laugh and call him an asshole. He is a level below Russel
He's no difference to all of the Japanese drivers we've suffered because of Honda or Haas having Marzipan or whatever his name was who was a danger to everyone
Yeah. I’ve been saying that this kid DOES NOT belong in F1 for years now, doesn’t make any sense to me why they would give up getting a better driver into that seat who can actually drive. Alonso can place his car near the front of the grid whenever he’s feeling good in the car. Lance can’t make it out of Q3 99% of the time. He causes wrecks, constantly underperforms and somehow still keeps his seat. NOT ONE other driver in F1 could do as badly as he has and still have a seat. Daddy buying/owning the team seems to be his secret weapon. Who would’ve thought…🤦🏽♂️.
The continued and baffling idea that F1 participation is based on merit and somehow is usually not nepotistic is a fascinating example of fan delusion. Do you people even watch F1? It's ALWAYS been a league for rich, connected drivers. It's never been a meritocratic organization...and with the leadership it has, it never will be. Max Verstappen is the son of a former F1 driver. Nico Rosberg is the son of a former F1 driver. Jensen Button is the son of a professional rally cross driver. Only Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel of the most recent champions aren't children of professional racing drivers...and both came from upper middle-class families.

However, the worst thing about F1 is the president of the FIA saying that the only way into F1 as a team is to buy a team. Jordan came up the ranks, started small, and were successful. Only billionaires can join now, seats will be limited, and rich boys and old drivers will take up track space.
Stroll bought his max level character without learning how to use it during the leveling process.
Aston Martin have Drugovich on the reserve driver seat, one of the best drivers in F2 that would destroy stroll on the track, but i guess papa Stroll doesn't care about winning at all, and are just paying for his son to have a very expensive kart race
POV: you just got done watching the Mohawk man rage and this video autplayed
You know what's more shocking... than 10 years later, Lance has the same voice
And of course Sakhir 2020, where Max and Charles didn’t finish and his teammate Perez won, Lance came 3rd!! (Ocon finished 2nd for anyone curious)
I think he's learned a lot from his mistakes and veteran teammates. He needs to train his peripheral vision. Zhou and Sargeant are definitely not coming back next season.
Pay drivers have always existed. Liberty Media and FIA are the only things truly wrong with Formula One.
I had heard Stroll wanted to be a tennis player.
This can all be explained in a succinct, proven metric. It's jam licked off windows, per square inch. RPM beat you to this. Almost like RPM finishes fast and early.....and we're all a bit disappointed when its over.
Stroll is that characterless NPC on the grid in a racing-game.
I didnt realise how much his dad was involved even before lance entered f1 territory. I dont like the guy but i used to give him some credit for his early career. Now im not so sure..
8 years of experience and he is not driving like it.
lol, most of the grid has parents worth 100 million plus.
For a second I thought it was a video uploaded by the Moon channel.
The fact that you would even write such a piece says more about you than anything that can be said about Stroll.
Love the title! Privileged boy
Did you watch RPM and decide to copy his homework?
Did you know that this type of video takes a long time to make?
Did you watch rpm to prove you are pathetic?
@@russianmegabot5272 oh man, you really got me there! 🤡
Daddy bought me the spot on the team haha
While I agree that Lance have underperformed, he might still be among the top drivers in the world. Success in other categories rarely translates in F1 pace. We have had countless F2, Indy, WEC and FE champions doing nothing in F1.
your one source is essentially just RPM, do some of your own research...
Stroll, perez, ricado, mag and Sargent need to go. Plenty of new drivers that deserve a drive
Tbh I would like to be on his place with his skills
Great video
ZHOU, LOGAN, LANCE, ALEX, ESTEBAN.... TIME TO GO
I don't like how Alonso's car is performing so bad now and strolls is seemingly still the same.
I can't believe he's still there. They obviously have no shame.
I hope he does better because we have Aston Martin back in F1 because of his dad.
Define tough childhood. Do you think it is easy to have a father like Mr. Stroll?
The Strolls are a stain on Canadian racing.
He's still got a way to go before reaching the quality of Paul Tracy's skidmark.
The worst part is that he should havs the experience to know better.
He only needs a little more awareness to be better, but maybe he doesn't care?
Seems like a decent racer to me. Also a decent guy.
You cannot choose your father. And why would he turn down help getting into F1?
Lance is the modern day Veruca Salt.
The one from Willy Wonka 2005 right?
You have to say jam on the spoon. Why wouldn't you ta. ke it. But having said that he has some talent to drive these cars. Keep going lance
Hopefully Lance will move over so Yuki can take his seat
