    I’ve never heard of this process at Tesla.. had no idea that they allowed people on the line to make changes. That’s brilliant, and allows the people who do the work to take even greater ownership.

    I worked for a co for many years. We held monthly safety meetings and the boss & owner always encouraged us to contribute ideas which we often did. THEN, one day, I realised of all the good ideas that had been shared in many meetings, I realised NOT ONE had ever been implimented. SO, I guess they were simply paying us lip service to make us feel included.

    Just a thought. I am a long time fan and subscriber. But the intro is a little bit to long for a daily view. It was ok in the beginning, but i have to skip it now every time. Just a thought. The long Tesla Scenery shots are nice. But every time ? It is very long for a daily/weekly viewer. Just saying. I know its best in Tesla, but it is getting a little bit stale. If you want to keep it that long, please make it more interesting or up to date. It is really just a little critic. The rest of the show is really good as always.

    Tesla agile may want to consider removing charging cables from their superchargers in America to discourage the cutting of them, which seems to currently be a problem among all charging companies. Maybe a move to charging pads or requiring people to carry their own cables might be a solution to this problem.

      The only organizations that can afford to hire and keep unionized workers is the government, over the long term. The reasons for this are obvious. As a former full time Teamster, I know this from watching the people I worked with for years. Without unions, government (aka 'public') teachers would be forced to teach and be competent in their chosen fields, to name one example.

    First, please note English is not Lars native language. However it is always good to improve. I don't believe Toyota will still be in business in 2028 without a government bailout. Toyota already owes over $200 billion. And their sales are going down. Hydrogen will not save them either. Neither will the so called solid state battery which has been coming out soon since 2013. VW also owes $200 billion.

    In fairness to Toyota and credit where it is due, it was Toyota that created the agile methodology and implemented it.
    That methodology has gone on to being copied in just about every single organisation globally.
    Whilst that doesn’t mean that Tesla couldn’t and didn’t come up with a better process, but Toyota changed the world of manufacturing…and the world of software development itself a few decades ago.

    • @davidbeppler3032
      @davidbeppler3032 20 годин тому +1

      Oh.. Toyota created the agile methodology? I though they invented the last second methodology. I thought every company in the world tried to copy that?
      Toyota also invented the time clock, overtime, assembly line, and solid state battery?

    • @colindavidson7071
      @colindavidson7071 17 годин тому +1

      Bluntly, no, they didn't. Toyota created the Toyota methodology, which has indeed been copied by almost all car companies. This is mostly lean manufacturing with a healthy dose of statistical process control. No doubt you think that was invented by Toyota as well, but if so you would be wrong again. SPC was invented by W. Edwards Deming, an American, who took it to Japan during the post WW2 reconstruction.

      DATA?
      Tesla Shanghai rates top in fault-free manufacturing of all OEMs in China, including the Germans (12365Auto).
      Tesla exteriors and interiors rate the most preferred in Kelly Blue Book survey of Premium buyers.
      Detailers like Out of Spec rates Tesla Fremont build quality highly - "Porsche level gaps".
      Munro and McElroy rated the Model S Plaid before tear-down as "good as a Bentley".
      Tesla bear Guru Lutz rated the Tesla fit and finish very highly even in 2019 in Road & Track mag:
      " I was stunned. Not only was the paint without any discernible flaw, but the various panels formed a body of precision that was beyond reproach. Gaps from hood to fenders, doors to frame, and all the others appeared to be perfectly even, equal side-to-side, and completely parallel. Gaps of 3.5 to 4.5mm are considered word-class. This Model 3 measured up."
