Nishikori uses Wilson natural gut 1.25mm 10% pre strech in the mains and Luxilon Alu power 1.25mm in the crosses. Strung his racket at Tali Open last weekend. (51/49lbs, a pound more or less depending on the match)
Thank you for your video! You mentioned that there are other string options in terms of tension maintenance, which ones would be those? It would be great and I think interesting as well, if you could make a video about control strings that aren't tough on the arm. You know for people with sensitive arms that need control and spin, which options do they have, before they think about changing to a ProKennex or W Clash type of racquet...
Never tried it, but it’s amazing how some people say it feels fairly comfortable for a poly and others say it is the stiffest and most uncomfortable poly on the market. Pretty polarizing.
It seems there are a lot of polarizing views on the stiffness of 4G which is why I wanted to review it. TW has it "rated" as a very stiff string but I remember Chris Edwards saying 4G plays a lot softer than the stiffness rating implies and I agree. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Gut/4G best combo i ve ever tried. ❤….. and i ve tried also all the latest hype from toroline and restring. 4G at full bed also never troubled me….. great feel, power and control….. unlike plastic shaped ones. Only con is its price unfortunately.
Hello I also play with 4G full bed and love it. How did you find Restring Sync strings (often compared to Lux Alu power but with higher tension maintenance)?
Critical problem of most of tennis gear reviews is that it’s too subjective. That makes even intraobserver variation as well interobserver variation. You and other UA-camrs need to be more data (measurement ) based , hopefully scientific analysis. Who can know your daily physical condition, psychological stability, your daily emotion, the playstyle of daily opponent? Those variables affect you evaluate the strings, rackets etc. Tennis is far inferior to Golf’ gear evaulation

Thank you for clarifying. I guess he switched from the Element.
This is one of the stiffest control strings out there. No way is it soft.

Stiffest string I ever played with! BTW do you prefer solinco revolution or outlast?
wanted to know as well. how about outlast vs HyperG round
Outlast is an old average string nothing special
I prefer Revolution because it has great spin potential and is one of the best control strings I've tried. But it is pretty stiff
Hi Kent, what's your opinion on using 4G as cross in hybrids? Since we usually use softer polys/multis in cross for most hybrids...
I like it as a cross for a Gut hybrid, as it has good tension maintenance and is round.
I agree. 4G as a hybrid cross would be great with gut or multi mains. Good tension hold and won't dig into the mains.
Responding: Yes, I would be interested in a 4G rough review.

It's 100% a stiff string. Look at objective stiffness measurements from places that TWU etc
@@vwmusicplaylist1935yet it feels soft with a nice pocketing sensation when strung at low tensions

@ sync has great connected feel. Close to alu power….. a little bit softer but lacks free power by much. I found it very low powered.
@@TheodorosKolokotronis799 Ok, noted. Thanks for your response!
4G is like a stiff Element... dont like it... metallic feel, average spin and notch too quick
How I wish they offered a 1.20 version
