The magic with Toroline comes when you find the hybrid that works for you. The people who rave about it usually play a very specific hybrid setup. Also Toro Toro comes in Matcha green which would match you ‘23 extreme perfectly! The Matcha Green is the 1.27mm which is the stiffest string Toroline makes.
Congratz on the purchase of stringing machine! Looks like some real quality machine. I just ordered my own stringing machine, looking forward to learning this mythical craft of stringing =)
@@Nessaj87 cheers mate yeh I’m really happy with it and find it quite relaxing lol….I’ve learnt a lot from a few different Pro stringers on UA-cam, great videos out there…what machine did you get?
@@TheTennisDaddy Bit hard to buy stringing machines here in Norway, I went for the Pro's Pro MT400 Tomcat (most value electrical I believe) as that is what my previous stringer used and recommended. Bit overkill for my use, but I figured it's an investment for the future anyway.
@@Nessaj87 that’s an awesome looking machine…Mine was optional with the Wise electric tension head for and extra $1000 but I thought I’d try the crank first as they’re still very easy to use compared to my previous drop weight and I can just buy the Wise head separately down the track if I really wanted to…so far I’ve got no complaints…definitely an investment mate especially if you want to try different tensions and strings, I chopped more than 10 strings after just one hit trying to find the setup I was happy with lol…considering I was paying $40-$70 to get my racquet strung depending on which string, it’s almost paid itself off already
@@TheTennisDaddy Yeah that's a great option that you can buy the Wise later on if you want to swap to electrical. All the local stringers stopped just before the summer where I live, only the tennis club offers stringing now and the availability / speed to get rackets strung isn't great. Figured I might as well just learn it, and in the end it will pay itself off!
After I'm done with the Triax in the PS97, im going to try a fill bed of Snapper. The Toro Toro felt very plastic like for me in a full bed. Does better as a blend with a round string in the crosses.
Yeh I did feel that a bit…I tried WASABI X in a cross with Velocity MLT in the mains just for something to try but although it was really soft from the MLT mains, it felt quite weak and lacklustre…Wasabi X felt crazy plastic like to string, was absolutely horrible😅
@@alanb76 yep agreed.. I’ve since watched a few videos on stringing with the lockout and the results have been great, consistent tension racquet to racquet. @@Nessaj87 I’m actually using Lynx Tour now exclusively lol…I was going to stick to standard Lynx as it’s softer but I found Lynx Tour not too stiff and rip on the ball, tension maintenance is far superior to standard Lynx…currently using the 16guage 1.30mm and also trying the 17 1.25mm next string break…It’s a bit softer than Solinco Confidential and gives the same kind of performance so I switched to it
@@TheTennisDaddy Welcome to the club! Yeah I was about to comment that tension maintenance is miles better on Lynx Tour over standard one. Been using Lynx Tour Orange 1.25 at 23kg/50pounds for over a year now, tried different strings but it's just so top tier. It just does everything so good, while holding tension better than most strings. Works so well in my Vcore100, but also in EzoneDR98/Blade100/Tecnifibre Tempo298IGA.
