He just kept driving...got back on the road somehow and was right on my tail again as I turned...he was a new neighbor who lived just across from me and nearly missed the turn onto our road. As he turned the truck nearly flipped. He did stop tailing me the couple of miles we had left. I was able to ID him when we turned as I saw the side of the truck in my rear view mirror. I watched him as he swerved up our road and turned into his driveway across from us. This was in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday around 2pm. Not a cop in sight anywhere. And if you call them about such an incident you're made to feel like a trouble-maker. I just drive a lot less and only go out when I have to. Love Texas but not the roads in this state. Wish it were different. Again, such sorrow for this family. How do they pick up the pieces after such a horrible experience?

If for some reason you do have to stop on the hard shoulder, when it is safe to do so, GET OUT OF THE CAR AND OVER THE BARRIER. You should NEVER sit in your car when it is stopped like this EVER
I was coming down I-25 over here between Denver and Pueblo last night in the heavy rain and slush. The number of people broke down (in and out of their cars) was quite high. I was driving an F550 and I could barely see lane markers while my wipers were on high. I was really concerned for these folks safety. I left Oakland, Iowa in the morning and stopped here in Pueblo, since I didn’t want to run the risk of getting stuck in Vail. I counted over 60 cars/trucks/trailers/campers/people broken down. Only decent weather was a small part of Western Nebraska the whole way. People need to get to an exit as much as it may hurt the car to do so. Car parts you can buy, body parts you can’t.
If at all possible please please pull off freeway when having car troubles. Drive on flat tire to next exit, ect. I was a TCS. Freeways and Hwys are so dangerous. Prayers for family.

June 2, 1979 at 11:45p.m. my mom got that call. It was my 21st birthday. I just got home was laying in bed and the phone rang. I knew one of my brothers had died in an accident but not which one. I heard my mom cry out, my worse fears were confirmed. My brother in Florida had a few beers and drifted into oncoming traffic and was killed instantly. My birthday has since never really been celebrated by my other siblings. All they remember was that their brother died.
I have a strange feeling this may have happened whether she stayed in the car (said to be the safest) or getting out. A similar thing happened where I live in Knoxville Tennessee a newlywed couple broke down and we're on the side of the interstate hit by another vehicle and both died. I think people don't realize how dangerous it is to be broken down on the interstate and standing by their car or even sitting in that car. I have ran out of gas on the interstate and I get far away from my car

NEVER GET OUT OF YOU VEHICLE WHEN ON THE FREE WAY, let alone stopping on the shoulder. Get off at an exit. I saw a guy the other day in the fast lane stopped, he was out side of his vehicle looking at his flat tire...during rush hour. I called 911 immediately.
I broke down on a narrow two lane parkway, exit was miles away. Even with my hazards on, barely any car slowed down or moved over (which is the law).
In the uk, if you have to stop on the hard shoulder you are advised to exit the car and stay a safe distance away from the same, until help arrives. This is just another sad incident.
What makes me sick is that there are SO many companies that can provide a ride for someone who has been drinking and instead they still continue to get behind the wheel and kill someone while driving. Sadly these drunk drivers kill people and all they get is a small slap on the wrist and just do it again. 😔
I couldn't do it, I guess they would fire me, no way would I give him any medical treatment at all!! Straight to jail as far as I'm concerned.
I would have left him in his car awhile and let him suffer
If for some reason you do have to stop on the hard shoulder, when it is safe to do so, GET OUT OF THE CAR AND OVER THE BARRIER. You should NEVER sit in your car when it is stopped like this EVER
Prayers to anyone who has ever lost a loved one to a car accident ❤️❤️
I hope its life in prison for that driver!
The designated driver died but the drunk driver lives. So infuriating.
Stopping on the highway is a bad idea always. If your car is not disabled, get to the next exit.
Emergency stopping only.
This is one of the reasons why...
Why does the Drunk driver survive?
If at all possible please please pull off freeway when having car troubles. Drive on flat tire to next exit, ect. I was a TCS. Freeways and Hwys are so dangerous. Prayers for family.
Jesus...folks try to pull to someone where safer if possible. Far too many idiots and morons on the road these days. RIP to her and condolences to her family.
Eerily similar so what happened to my cousin in Houston. She had a flat tire and a DUI driver struck her while she was outside the vehicle and took off. Just don’t understand why someone’s gotta drive impaired man
When will people learn? It only takes one time to push the limit and you destroy your life and someone else's.
Had a family member who got rear ended by one while helping a friend fix a flat his friend died fam luckily survived its dangerous
It’s beyond understanding. I keep thinking n praying please God protect our young drivers
I was hit by a drunk driver head on..Im so lucky.Thank God.
Very lucky! Glad you are ok!
You should NEVER stop on the freeway! Let your friend vomit out the window!
This won’t change until they start giving out proper justice… the death penalty!!
Prayers going up for the girls family may she RIP 🙏
RIP dear you were doing a good thing checking your friend but was dangerous for u , condolences too her family
Omg 😭 My heart goes out to the family. My condolences. 🙏😭🌹
I have a strange feeling this may have happened whether she stayed in the car (said to be the safest) or getting out. Sometimes I think the movie, “Final Destination”, while too dramatic, actually isn’t far off. Sometimes I wonder if there’s no escaping it. When it’s time, is it REALLY time? We’ll never know. I just hope it was quick for her and I wish the best for her passenger, who may feel guilt (she shouldn’t but she’s human) for years to come. Rip.
Strange? More like nonsense. She would've easily survived had she stayed in the vehicle.
Dui drivers that kill people should get life in jail
You take a life, you give up yours. Simple.
Drunk divers who are repeat offenders and kill innocent people should be given life in prison.
Looks like a driver from Zimbabwe
The killer will be back on the road again. Who knows now with the crappie court system..
He’s probably buddies with Alec Baldwin.
Can't just drink and stay home or spend $50 on an Uber? Can't stand that.
I bet this DUI is not his first.
He's probably here illegally!
idomatter nonya racist af lmao
@@Beautybyadriana12 what facts are racist now?
RIP LADY THAT PERISHED 🙏✝️ Condolences to your family and friends 🛐❤️
A similar thing happened where I live in Knoxville Tennessee a newlywed couple broke down and we're on the side of the interstate hit by another vehicle and both died. I think people don't realize how dangerous it is to be broken down on the interstate and standing by their car or even sitting in that car. I have ran out of gas on the interstate and I get far away from my car
Well if your car runs out of gas, your battery dies, your radiator blows and your on the highway are you suppoosed to teleport to a safe area??
aw bless the drunk driver at 1.48 screaming in pain i notice they weren't too careful with him, cuffed and i hope broken beyond repair!!
If I were an emergency room doctor, I’d have a hard time trying to save a drunk that killed someone. Oops, guess that was waaaay. Too much morphine!
@@tomrogers9467 love your reply 😉
@@tomrogers9467 you and me both, Tom.
Is there a reason why the passenger could not check on the lady in the back? As a driver that's what I would have asked and I would never have pulled over like that. Too many drivers on our roads that do not think! She lost her life like that and to me that's almost to sad and horrible to think about. Condolences her family.
When this White Camry hit from behind, would the airbag deploy in front of the driver?
houston is just as bad as LA now
You ain't tellin me nothin....I live here. Gets more and more padded cell worthy EVERY DAY..💀💀💀
Everybody knows that dwi is a horrible idea, but yet it continues to happen. At what point will these idiots figure it out. My heart goes out to all those affected but one idiots actions.
It was obviously that guy's fault.... BUT.....
NEVER EVER EVERRRR stop on the highway EVER!!! (unless your vehicle is disabled or there is a significant area to pull well off to the side)
6:15 I have an accident worst than that, ........ LoL
Why are all these horrible accidents in Texas am I missing something ? I live in Pittsburgh and it’s no wear close as bad. I could be wrong but someone elaborate me.
is the screamer on the stretcher the murderer...and yes! what he did was murder for sure
His life is done .... think before getting behind a wheel when consuming alcohol ...
I hope his life will change forever. You know...like a long prison sentence.
Please tell me how the security guards accident was worse and he's standing there telling us the lady died. My condolences to her family 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Tbh, that upset me.
I think what he was trying to say is, his car looked worse and he also said that God saved him. I don't feel like he was trying to be disrespectful to the young lady who lost her life, at least that's the way that I took it anyway.
Exactly. It was a truly stupid, insensitive and arrogant thing to say !
Whether his intentions were to disrespect her or not, he still did by trying to glorify himself as if it were a competition.
Just curious, why does there always seem to be 5 or 6 people working and dozens of them just standing around?
And none are masked, most are overweight and the one cop wiping his nose repeatedly while handling a patient (perp). It's another world in Texas.
Theres not dozens. Dozens would be 24 or more. Some things that need to be done must be done after the previous person is done with their job.
@@french1956 do you feel better for body shaming?
@@kellywentz4452 Yes, I do!
I just don’t understand why people continue to drive while drunk.
This is so beyond sickening, disgusting, unnecessary, tragic! There needs to be much harsher laws for DUI - like instant death penalty! The untold damage, heartache, carnage caused by DUI is senseless, unnecessary! I despise DUI.
Sad 😞 🙏🏻
After so many video of 10 years of people being crashed into, you must be aware every 5 seconds of oncoming cars. You must be like a rabbit looking for cheetah if you are stopped on a highway. Be safe people, anyone can be driving behind you like this, it is a matter of seconds to jump out of the way.
My grandfather always used to say, "You need to have eyes in the back of your head when you are behind the wheel".
Sickening, fucked up, and tragic. R.IP to the victim and prayers for the family
The drunk driver will just get a slap on the wrist, I know because the drunk driver who killed my sister only served 5 years. My thoughts and prayers to the family of the girl who died and I hope the injured people in her car will be okay, the drunk I really don’t care about.
When is 'Shot in the Dark' coming back on Netflix?
Very, very sad.. So Sorry for the family of the victim, prayers & condolences to
the family of the girl… 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌹🌹🕊🕊. I’m so tired of hearing about this
crap of Drunk Drivers hitting & killing Innocent people!!!! 😡😡😡.
1:30 The DUI Driver, doesn't need to go to the hospital. Just let some freeway traffic end his suffering from his injuries.
The sad thing is they'll get a slap on the wrist and no more
Damn rip to the lady🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
" I told him to calm down, nothing is going on everything is alright man it happens to everybody" ?? Dafuq...
Right??
Should he have said "BRUH!! YO! you need to git da fuq outta here BRUH!"
@@zacharysandberg exactly what I was trying to say with my sarcastic reply
Can't stop on the freeway for any reason unless your car stops and won't go. How many times does this have to happen? Girl pulled over on the side of the freeway where people are going 75+mph and gets out, gets out! To check on her friend. Where they drunk too? Can't help but wonder if the girl driver and the sick girl were both drunk, that would kind of explain the bad decision to stop on the freeway and get out.
Geez rip too all involved. One hell of an accident
I broke down on a narrow two lane parkway, exit was miles away. Even with my hazards on, barely any car slowed down or moved over (which is the law). I got out of the vehicle and up the embankment into the woods and waited for assistance there. Thankfully troopers showed up, but I still waited up the embankment until the tow truck had my car loaded.
