Yeah I'm loving these tough fights. Chase is a beast but some of these tactics are pretty genius.

One of the best ashes for this weapon (imo) is sword dance, because the recovery of both heavy attacks blends perfectly into sword dance's startup, letting you take people by surprise.

I love using sword dance on these. The heavy attack into it looks really cool.
I love how the charged heavy goes into sword dance looks super clean and tends to catch some people off guard
Fun Fact: The R2 is the Waterfowl Dance of Malenia's Blade, but, on the ground and waaaay less terrifying. This was her teachers' sword and sword art.
I bet her teacher can do it better, we just can't imitate it just like how we have downgraded version of weapon skills compared to bosses. The Elden beast is stronger but it's still a notable feat to defeat the Scarlet Rot Scorpion Beast.

I don't recall who said it but the Flowing Curved Sword's R2 startup is very similar (if not just the same) to the Sword Dance WA.
This means you can play mind games and bait the opponent into you or away from you, plus you can do the flip attack with the R2 for a 3rd option of backing out or following up with a running attack.
I've been considering picking it up just because of that.

hey! just wondering if you've ever tried the R1 combo out of the charged attack cancel for curved/piercing swords? It basically sets up a backstep follow up with an extra hit from the charge cancel, I've gotten a lot of value out of it in duels but it doesn't seem to be something people use very often
plus I'm pretty sure that charge attack cancelling with curved swords benefits from the axe talisman, so if you land the charge cancel and then the R1 follow up it can do pretty good damage, paired with the mantis blade you get the extra range and it is deadly

You should’ve held both and used sword dance on one of them, swinging with a heavy attack makes it hard to read so at the end of your attack use sword dance to surprise them if they are in range

7:37 kinda unfortunate that twnblades need lots of hits to be able to compare damage to other weapons, as well as terrible range when 2h-wielding it

Curved swords bleed or frost proc are so strong but a double edged sword finally beat malenia with scavengers curved bleed/frostbite but the animation will lock for a sec to leave you open for a punish so if you go in you best had hit

I did a dancer cosplay with this weapon a while back, it was pretty fun

Just seeing this but this is a weapon I’ve been wanting to watch you showcase for a while because it is an amazing weapon with so many unique skills like even the feint that you can do with curved swords. I used to charge the heavy and do the first chain of attacks and they would tend to want to advance after so I would feint and hit them and roll back real quick and it’s funny cause it seems to throw people off
Also, sword dance, no pun intended, is a great AoW on it to close in, it’s punishable, but with a light weight build and learning the sword well enough, you can get some gnarly combos, of course it works better power stanced but one handed it works great too

I'm level 155 and I'm wondering if that's still good for PvP and invasions? Because I'm debating on making a new character around the level of 120-135, and I want to know if it's worth it.

This is the flail of curved swords, which is not a flail, but could have been a flail.
Use sword dance as ash it chains perfectly into the heavy attack has insane reach and catches most people off guard

I think it's because you have a wider range of levels to play. You can be playing against 125 and 150 if your at 137

hey chase, what crystal tears are you using in your flask?
I play on a ps4 and for some reason a lot invaders I get don't filly load in 9n my side so they can see and damage me but I can't see them to damage them. I just lay the controller down. I so can't wait till I get a ps5.

alright boys the best fashion ring i can come up with is this:
-veterans helmet (trust)
-tree sentinel gaunts
-harlows chest piece
-beast armor leggings
I cannot make anything in this game look better than that.
we need dlc asap for the lack of fashion. so many armor sets don't share similar colors and it ruins everything.

Finally did the best weapon
I wish there would be some kind of glowing effect on your character after getting a certain amount of successive wins.
For example:
5 Wins: green glowing effect
10 wins: yellow glowing effect
25 wins: purple glowing effect
50 wins: Red glowing effect
100 wins:Black glowing effect
Do you just respec one character over and over to test different weapons?
That's what he was doing on stream for his different builds, so yeah he probably does when he does the showcases for the weapons.

I started using Dual Bandit Curved Swords and I just can’t stop! It’s so satisfying and powerful it almost feels like cheating!
Ohmygad, I hate players that use the 9:20 cockroach fighting style, they move like cockroaches only reacting to other players moves...
just a tip, do not move when you get a cockroach player, they cause them a 404 brain process
