Dan thanks for the brilliant and different content of the videos. I really like your point of view. These cars fell more special and alive with RWD. Nice one
The R8 RWD is definetly on my list as I have a personal connection to the car due to my racing times in the Audi R8 LMS GT4. These two cars are now even closer now as they are both RWD. Great video as well!! Thanks! :-)
I love these videos where you address broader questions, rather than which is faster, etc. Keep it up, love to see motoring journalism properly make its way into UA-cam! Thumbs up from me!
Would be good to see a comparison of the 458 and this huracan evo rwd. Yes i know the Ferrari is old, but it’s the benchmark for a mid engine supoer car with naturally aspirated engine and rwd. Would be good to see how does the modern Lamborghini perform and feel against arguably the best Ferrari of all time
Certainly the 458 is more fun, despite the fact the huracan is faster around a track and straight lines, with more luxury, handling and gearbox as well
Ive driven 458 and huracan 580-2. Imho 580-2 felt like it shifted quicker but with less drama...so much quicker i thought to myself, why bother with manual shifting? I prefer interior of 458 over 580-2. Just seemed like it was of higher quality. I bet the EVO rwd would be a few notches above the 580 and leave the aging 458 in the dust in all respects. I agree this be interesting to get our hosts opinion but may not be fair to the SF.
Drove the 458 Italia, LP580-2 and LP610-4, back to back in Italy, the 458 clearly had the quicker shifting gearbox and high revving engine, the LP 610-4 understeered a lot, LP 580-2 didn't understeer like the LP 610-4 but nowhere near the Ferrari's driving dynamics. At a later stage, drove the EVO RWD and that's closer to the 458 in terms of driving dynamics and in my view, it's the best and most sort out RWD Huracan variant.
Dan I now own that R8.I’ve now had it remapped to 651brake & it makes a massive difference. Launch control is pointless as it just spins the wheels even on bone dry tarmack. Shall be taking on track next summer 👍
I run a rws r8. I love it but it was missing that raw power. So I took it to Lichfield and did a stage 2 tune. It made 640bhp with full Exhaust system and k & n filter kit.. now its a real drivers car...I love it...
Great video. Dan, love the quick history lesson at the beginning. As for the question 2 Ed vs 4 wd I’d go with 2 for lighter weight and greater playfulness. Modern super cars are probably too fast for the public road anyway for the owners to exploit even 50% of their potential so the 2 wd option seems sensible. Why not bag a saving and enjoy the car even more.
Just bought a GT 350, 520hp rear wheel drive, manual. It will be used and abused in everything besides snow. Please do a GT350 review, your Zed28 review was awesome.
I love how his voice, tone and enthusiasm completely changed when he switched cars. That's when you see that the huracan is not a glorified audi with a bull on it to make more money. It's a great car, it's a Lambo.
I can't understand why Audi Sport didn't give the RWD the same 562 bhp as the the Quattro version. Think it could probably handle nearer 600 imo and still be driveable as an everyday supercar...In fact I would drop the standard Quattro version and offer the RWD with 570+ bhp and then have the Performance version as the flagship..
I like you guys keeping doing this but the music is a little bit intense for the voiceover and presentation. It is pretty distracting for me personally and makes it all a bit too frantic/hectic as you list the specs before the driving even starts. Or the music is just mixed too loud.
All wheel drive means that you get a re-assuring feeling that the car has "off road features". All wheel drive version is preferred when people love the "off road " re-assurance when driving uphill at steep angle and going around very very twisty bends at very high speeds.
God comparison video...immediate impression at the switchover is the Audi has alot more space at the steering wheel whereas the Huracan has a driving position like a Supertourer ie everthing set further back with the wheel in your face...
RWD? 1. It depends on the type of wheel rims you are using the weight factor of the wheel rims you are using. 2. It depands on the set of tyres you are using and the type of tread marks on the tyres you are using. 3. How finely tuned is your entire integrated setting on the stiffness of dynamic suspension system? 4. Centre of gravity factor.
Outstanding job on this Dan. So we'll done. I wish all Lamborghini vehicles were rwd and Audi continued its numb awd only vehicles. If Lamborghini could borrow a Porsche EPS tuned or two for this rwd Huracan you could have something perfect. Sadly no one buying at this price point buys the "slower" vehicle of the range. They might be better off having the rwd versions be the most expensive to attract the wealthy buyers with taste. Either way, I'm happy they made it rwd
Its my 1st time to see this fairly popular Car channel hellow there i can appriciate those 2 supercars for RWD philosophy and that supercar intro by history hehehe as long as this channel will get quality and Car spirts going See ya
eh people always go based off of preconceived notions on the R8. anyone who had never heard of an R8 and got into the RWD would think that it is a perfect car in every way.
I think Porsche does it right. Their track machines habe RWD and their almost Grand Tourer-like Turbo S got AWD. Plus they made AWD and RWD supercars/hypercars already so I think maybe a good mix is good. Personally I don't know why but I'd kinda miss the AWD in an Audi or in a Lamborghini. It's this teeny tiny bit that makes them even more special. Everyone can have a supercar with RWD, how many people actively decide they want one with AWD?
bad comparison. The Evo, seriousely? They should have compared it to the GT3 RS. Not the "standard" R8. Edit: My bad, it's not a straight comparison. It's RWD vs AWD. Keep it up!
@@cindymcarthur3225 No. It depends on how the car is structured. Making a car RWD doesn't make it that much better. You got to take into consideration of the car's design as a whole, and how the engine function.
I'll even take it one step further... can you say, Manual transmission!? There's something to be said about someone that knows how to drive a stick! Wow, that really gives away my age! ¿`_

This level of filming along with knowledge, I really feel enlighten, now!

Vids are getting slicker every time Dan. Nice work.
Yes agreed
Reminds me of the early days of Carfection. Very very good indeed!
Yeah well they took 4 months to make a new video.
Ashraf on Cars yes siirr but I don’t mind AWD
Real interesting video Dan. Pretty pleased that I guessed the EB110 too.

The AWD V10 twins are useful when you supercharge or twin turbocharging them, otherwise RWD all the way

959. The argument for excluding it is thin - its a pedigreed supercar sold in real numbers with revolutionary capabilities for its time.
I love the fact he went past the guy putting out the road sign. At possibly 70mph.

A most excellent video. Been waiting for a decent review of either of these rwd models and they both come along in the same video.
RWD for the Lambo definitely, as for the R8 I think AWD is "better" because Quattro is what made Audi Sport (ex quattro GmbH) what it is today
Well done Dan. Original topic that breaks the redundancy of current UA-cam reviews.
Finally the video I've been waiting for 🙌🙌 RWD heaven! 💫
One of the best reviews I saw! Straight to the point!
What’s with the background music being louder than the commentary? Have you been watching 1990’s Top Gear for inspiration?

You Can get 600 horsepower to your Audi R8 with D and M tuning !!!!! :) Just pay $2,499.
Missed your vid’s Dan - good to see you back and in fine form - need to save for the lambo !
Maybe my favorite channels dan is brilliant this channel is brilliant when is comes to comparisons
Thank you for this one, they are close cousins, so i always wanted to know with the comparison in performance
Both Lamborghini Huracan Evo and Audi R8 V10 are truly the coolest and awesome RWD Supercars.
Would love to see both RWD uncorked like Ferrari has done with its mid engine RWD Supercars. Now that would be a tasty comparison
I like you guys keeping doing this but the music is a little bit intense for the voiceover and presentation. It is pretty distracting for me personally and makes it all a bit too frantic/hectic as you list the specs before the driving even starts. Or the music is just mixed too loud.
I would say the channel is underated I never came across this channel I am I found it ❤️
Agreed! Rwd is all this boy needs. Only drive in good weather and keep tires above min spec.

Those Audi R8's just need a good aftermarket exhaust to wake it up sound wise
Great video as always Dan!
Why did you do the voiceover in Ibiza ? Can´t hear anything
Interesting comparison, great cars, lovely host - loved it!
I think the lack of sound is due to the latest particulate filters
I dream of the 2021 RWD Evo Huracan every night.

Thing is that the 4wd on the R8 is really rear biased. It doesn't feel so much like a 4wd vehicle. Worth mentioning if you try and drive one hard.

I thing that’s the important thing, the r8 can both: daily driver and super sports car
i like lambos because of how hardcore and unpractical they are but thats just my opinion
How does the R8 compare to a Porsche Cayman718 GTS ? I found the GTS to be one of the most enjoyable driving experiences. Light. Nimble. Responsive.
i feel like the gts is in the upper sports car class, the r8 is in the mid supercar class. they wouldnt rly compare :/
Volume of music is too damn LOUD when you are talking.
If you can please pump out more videos more often
Do both have Ppf in the exhausts?
Agree completely Dan.
Explaining why the original v10 manual audi is a bargain i control the sound!? No?!
What’s the difference between all wheel drive compared to RWD
awd is more stable, controlled, and faster but rwd is scarier and tends to be more of an experience, kinda like a roller coaster.
Manual gearbox would have made these RWD-models more pure I think.
Lambo was considering a manual gearbox for the Huracan Evo RWD but it was scrapped cause it would have been expensive to produce...
the music is way to loud , can't here the host :/
rwd is better better fuel economy cost less to upkeep less complex and top end wise faster beacuse of less parasitic drag and its more fun to drive
Great content 👍
Great video Dan 👏
Here in France, the Huracan Evo rwd HAS GOT rear wheel steering.
Weird that it isn't the case in the UK.
it doesn't have RWS anywhere on the world.
No it does not, check again
Bunch of howdy duties
115k is a steal for a bonafide supercar and a future classic.. too bad i don't have that cash!

Top Spec Audi R8 vs
Base Model Lamborghini
It's not Audi vs Lamborghini video... it's a comparison of RWD variants over the AWD one's.
This was the classic dr Jekyll and mr hyde lol. The Audi was quit, meek and humble then the lambo comes in loud and screaming like a banchee 😂
I love both
What color is the Audi?
blue :->
Ставь лайк, если нравится Lamborghini.😍👍😊
The ‘colour’ grading on this video is making everything feel colour bleached by the sun. 😭
Love the R8 RWD a refined super car that can hang the ASS out...
Would like a small colour coded lip spoiler....
Why not compare the huracan and R8? Would have been far more interesting
they are the huracan and the r8 :/
You’re gonna kill someone by driving on the wrong side of the road.
Once lambo always lambo ..
To be honest, why would you buy an Audi with a RWD? It makes it souless!
ummm, no, rwd gives a car more of a sense of danger and thrill :/
@@cindymcarthur3225 No. It depends on how the car is structured. Making a car RWD doesn't make it that much better. You got to take into consideration of the car's design as a whole, and how the engine function.

Irritating background music.
Allways RWD in sports car
So basically the the Lambo kills the r8..save an extra 60k kids😎
Manual lambo someday? Lol
they are both actually completely the same car, just different designed
Uncorrupted ..thats the word
We don't need rhythmic noise (not real music) competing with the dialog, Thumbs down!!!
you rly just disliked a video because of the backround music, wow. Thumbs down!!
Huracan = Audi R8 with worse tech and interior for 50% more price hah
