The daughter from the start knew exactly what she was doing . Fraud is very serious and she needs to be in prison
One small, but important, detail left out of this argument is that, in the Preface of Captain Tom's book he seems to allude to the fact that he was delighted to write the book to add to his charitable activities. So, it's still unclear whether, or not, the Ingram Moore family should have taken that money.
The daughter was basically caught out, tampering with the books so to speak and she kept it quiet until now.
Jeez, If the public thought that the money from the book sales were going to the family, & not the charity, the number of sales would have been extremely low.
He’s still a legend in the public’s eyes. It’s a pity his family used his name for their own gains. They won’t think they’ve done wrong though.
Hopefully the HMRC are also looking closely into their Returns for significant discrepancies both for their Personal Tax and their Business Tax Returns
I would imagine that the Charity Commission are doing some investigation, too.
He’s a legend, his daughter is greedy and profiting from the good will of the public
Yes ,unfortunately by the family who are lining there pockets.
The goose that layed the Golden Egg , and the daughter certainly collected her fair share.
I always thought it was wrong, something just seemed off from the beginning.
According to there website proceeds of the books were to go towards the foundation not to the family.
You can’t deny people thought it was for charity mine begins at home so they got none of mine 👻
When it is said on the sale of the book "that is what he wanted" how does she know this? The only evidence I am aware of is the forward to his book that demonstares a clear intent for the money to go to the good cause, not his family.
Yes. That detail seems to be missing from this piece.
Long over due debate 🤧 was always weird the over coverage never trusted the daughter at all.
He didn’t do anything wrong, we all still respect him and think he was wonderful. His family are the ones who should be ashamed and who are judged.
This family could see all of this money and wanted some of the action. THEY have destroyed the charity, no one else.
the dude was a business man
We??.who is we
Charity is big business. Media hyped him up and family took good advantage of it all
@@ranjha4008 This is the way of life I'm afraid, but how many people will be put off giving to charity.
I will not let CaptTom’s legacy be tarnished. Although I am disappointed with his family. X
A real hero, unlike others close to him, who just lived off his reputation.
@@G-Bob4 Only, in the introduction of that book, Captain Tom infers that he was writing the book for charity.
beggers in the street do same thing claim to be iraq war veterans
Only ones who damaged sir captain Tom is his family . Always thought something off
He was wonderful. His family are an absolute disgrace. Greedy doesn't cover it. They lived in a massive house so must already have been well off. Another example of the well off wanting to get their snouts further into the trough
The family are loaded....and greedy.
So what would happen if everyone who bought the book with the understanding that the profits were for the charity handed in their book back for a full refund due to being deceived ?
Family should be ashamed of themselves complete embarrassment unfortunately 🤦♂️
I feel sorry for people who gave there hard earned money 👎
Yes - and his daughter needs to be removed from charity controlling the money - she cannot be trusted
Didnt capture my heart
Charity is an easy way to con the public.
The short answer to this question is YES. A great deal of money nearby is a great temptation to anyone - it would seem that
this daughter succumbed. Greed is there, just plain greed. Her Father was a National treasure and his name stands without
tarnish. His daughter stands before the world shamed.
The gentleman was exemplary, and he personally raised a lot of money which went straight to the NHS.
The sad irony is, the family's rather obvious fast and loose exploitation of the man's good deeds will now lead to a financial feeding frenzy for lawyers.
It's a natural human foible to have grief and loss mitigated to some degree by a financial legacy, but It's starting to look like the shopping lists were being drawn up during the funeral.
Very disingenuous of Hannah to aay that "it's all been taken away" - when it's her actions which have caused mistrust and could well hsve destroyed the charity founded by her father.
Sir Captain Tom Moore is a legend. He was a bright light during the pandemic. Nothing should tarnish his memory.
There were quite a few elderly people raising money for nhs not just him
If you believe the daughter and what she said he told them to keep the money from the books ect which miss led the public
Pandemic?
HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE FAMILY DIDNT PUT HIM UP TO THIS AND OTHER PEOPLE ARE RIGHT THERE ARE OTHER OLD PEOPLE WHO DID ALOT IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL WHEN AM SAT IN HOSPITALS LOOKING AT HIS NAME ON A POSTER AND HIS DAUGHTER DONE THIS
his daughter did
The argument put forward here by one of the panelist’s “you want to set them up if you know you’re going to pass away soon??” Maybe she hasn’t noticed the type of property they live in…how much is that worth? Just look at the grounds it’s set in! The family do not look or appear short of money.
I believe it’s totally immoral to set up a ‘charity’ in any form, create goods in the name of that charity or use the word ‘foundation’ and then take a reported £800k from proceeds raised from members of the public who are led to believe ALL the money is going to the charity. The argument “we made a mistake” given by the family, I find absurd! A mistake is perhaps recording a figure incorrectly or saying something that’s misinterpreted…but building a pool/spa on the grounds of your home is NOT a mistake, it’s a well thought out planned decision.
If they were totally transparent, why did they not communicate BEFORE the book went on sale that the money was for personal gain? I wonder what the book sales would have been had they disclosed this information? I find in life that people are always really sorry when they get found out and the truth emerges. If they are truly sorry, why not donate the proceeds back to the NHS? or another AGREED worthy cause.
My last suggestion would be that no family member or anyone close to a charitable cause should have autonomy on where funds raised should go. How did the daughter end up a paid director of Captain Tom’s charity? and who, if anyone allowed her and her family to benefit financially?
Anyone who donated to the Captain Tom fund have got finessed. This is why you need to properly vet people, companies and charities
Except they said REPEATEDLY in this news segment that ALL the money he raised by walking DID go to charity… so like how/was was finessed??
I want my £10 back 😡
@@daisybollo6094women defending women, smh.
She’s got greedy, why are you defending this exactly? Unless you are part of the family.
Captain Tom stated somewhere on his book that the book will allow him to give more to charity, or something along those lines.
So why is his daughter getting rich from it?
the british media started it all
@@lappylappy7269🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sorry you got scammed
Ugh, someone just HAS to ruin something so special for everyone. What a narcissistic era we live in. His legacy should absolutely stay as it is.
@ashleychurchill His legacy!! He walked around his garden,!! what a virtue signalling world we live in, turns my stomach.
It was always an over-hyped stunt fanned up by Scammer Hannah and her bloated accountant husband for their personal enrichment. There is no “legacy” - just a desire on behalf of the family to keep the Foundation gravy train on the rails for as long as they can. Despicable.
@@boota1979he was a WW2 veteran, that’s legacy worthy
yep, Narc sprang to my mind
5:54 I'd like to believe this but I believe it was exposed that the forward of the book(s) doesn't state the money from the books were to go to the family but to charities. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You are right.
Yes. This detail was missing from this argument.
People bought that book in good faith !
She's appealing the demolition...this woman has no shame . She's annoyed the neighbours with the awful building. And destroying he family's name.
Definitely got tips of the modern Tory Party - Rob money. Full Stop.
His family took advantage of his frame, the fame he got for doing such a great and noble thing We've tom out of it as not as grieved that caused all this at as his family
Thousands of people raise money for charity...they don’t become famous.....there must have been a great deal of work behind the scenes to create this level of publicity.
@@carolineholmes4524I think it was all planed. You’re right though, many old people go out on cold nights to raise money, whether a £1 or millions it’s equal for me.
British media is to blame again
He is not tarnished his daughter and family are
The people I feel sorry for are the children.Their mother seems to have made no effort to shield them if openly talking about death threats in front of them is anything to go by.
I also feel sorry for his other daughter who wanted to play no part in any of this and certainly hasn’t stolen any money
Wave a union jack get out the war medals and utilise 'Blitz spirit' and you can get people to fork out cash for anything. In this case, the cause was valid, the person was a hero, but he was capitalised. He didn't decide to do any of this.
Tbh I could never understand the vast amount that was raised so quickly, this 'project' had been well thought out by family and advisors IMHO..................
While they sat in acres and acres of land, outside the massive house, with the children attending private school, the son-in-law using the wife’s surname because he’s clearly running away from something (debt I would suggest, it’s the usual reason) and their tragically failing business. All seemed a bit suspicious to me too! It’s a shame because I like the old guy, but I certainly wasn’t throwing my money at it or the NHS that failed me & my family multiple times, massively, when we should’ve had payouts and received nothing.
It always felt like they took advantage of him.
Sir Tom hasn’t been tarnished but his daughter has been tarnished… horrible person
I think it was a story that only got the attention it did due to the unprecedented events back then & it was a nice distraction - however as more & more folk jumped on the bandwagon it took on a life of its own & teally needed someone without pound signs in their eyes could foresee the blurry boundaries. Ultimately it spun out of control.
Custodial sentences await.
It has tarnished his memory she should be ashamed to open her mouth.
No millions for his family but he didn’t know that at the time shame rest in peace Tom 👻
Whatever his family have done should not tarnish Captain Sir Tom, he himself has not done anything wrong. I agree though the NHS is underfunded and it should not have been down to him. The amount of cutbacks you would think there was enough money to fund it and pay the staff properly. To me they are more heroes in the NHS than football players who earn a lot more.
The problem here which the media seems scared to talk about as I guess this family does generate a lot of views is if you actually read the books, the foreword by Tom clearly states that he believed the books were part of the charity efforts and thus the money generated would go to the NHS. He was clearly a wise person who understood that these books had it not been the link to charity and the belief that buying one would be an indirect donation to the charity would never have seen the light of day.
It's not helped by the fact at every stage the family have tried to keep control of the foundation and money and use for personnel gain. Why attach the foundations name to a planning application which turned out to be a luxury spa for family use, why the need to be CEO of the foundation with a 5/6 figure salary...
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck it's probably not the swan everyone's hoped for.
The poor guy is not responsible for his money grubbing Daughter
Is the blonde women apart of the family lol 😂😂
The family because very very greedy
No, his daughters has
I was not aware of this until I saw it here.
Always the one's with no self control that want to lecture.
Noone would have bought that book if they thought the proceeds would not be going to the nhs.
… or at least some other well deserving, chosen charities
Bless him.
Greedy daughter
£38.000.000 raised for the NHS❤
Why do NHS need money ffs?
This has tarnished ALL 'charity' efforts for ever. The family have been ordered to demolish their spa centre.
Yes
Did the family ever make it clear that the procedes of these books were NOT going to charity, NO THEY DID NOT. This charity MUST be investigated, it matters not what was raised.
They said REPEATEDLY that the money he raised walking did go to NHS… do people just run to comment and not actually watch the clip???
@@daisybollo6094he’s taking about the books. 100% of the proceeds from the books (£800k) got left in a will and given directly to the family. After numerous interviews and book sales tours stating that the proceeds from the books would help fund the Captain Tom Foundation
@@daisybollo6094 as much as I agree with you, that just about every idiot here doesn’t seem to understand that the original money was before the foundation and collected through a website where the family could never get their hands on it. So yes, indeed it did go to the NHS, but what you failed to understand, is you’re having a go at the person above, when they’ve never suggested otherwise! All this was about the books, after the walk and the NHS payout. Books in the name of the foundation, which was set up after the walk- and where the daughter has been stealing the money from. So maybe you need to go away and reread what people have put- you’re jumping to conclusions, they never suggested!
YES.
We will never know if the captain knew, or if he was complicit
No way did he know poor man RIP Tom 👍🏿
No way
It was all very suspicious from the beginning.
Don’t be silly mental health oh let by a spa I’ll feel better and pay myself 100. Grand a year oh I do feel better lol
Is there a version of this comment in English ?
@@maurices5259 you clearly need to go take some reading lessons if you can’t tell what this comment says. There are far worse, nonsensical, miss spelt (with poor grammar) comments on here, that you don’t seem to have bullied or picked on, which really don’t make any sense whatsoever! Strange!
I can not stand the daughter but I’m sorry, the first woman is categorically wrong with her opening statement. Captain Tom WANTED to be active and WANTED to recover from his recent decline in health. He didn’t do it because the NHS or anyone else forced him to do it and raise money? He was going to do it anyway. Is she ok?
I didn’t realise she has a sister,she’s never mentioned ,I wonder why?
More like a positive outcome to your bank account
We will never know, daughter is in charge !
He was a total hero, his daughter however is a evil manipulate sort, who just wanted the money. But that's family's for you
His family got greedy for some of the money...money does funny things to people
There were other people doing exactly the same as him but didnt get the coverage he got because he was a captain
Exactly, his class appealed to the right wing news media and this tory government milked it for what it was worth. 🤨🤨🤨.........
I do agree
No it was because his daughter is in professional PR.
Was he a Captain? I thought he was a Corporal who rode motorbikes well behind the battlefront.
It’s the same as Douglas Barder,he lost his legs doing what he did best according to numerous people who served with him…Showing Off.
What captain Tom did for the NHS was remarkable. The fact we’ve let it get to the stage where he needed to do it is utterly disgraceful.
What hospitals got a share in that money, did it go to research, Oh did it go to the NHS Boses?..I totally agree with Rebecca
Desperate for role models and heroes at that time? The workers during the pandemic and nurses and doctors working to save covid patients risking their own lives were the heroes.
The family are devastated and upset cause they got caught. Period. He also state with the book he was glad to raise even more for charity. No mention of his family to pocket the money. And the whole barbados holiday for a 100 year old mans wish? Absolute nonsense.
He didn’t do anything wrong. What he raised was extra to what the NHS gets. He chose to help a fantastic organisation
hardly any money went to the NHS, his family kept it all
@@kanedNunable all £40m?🤨
NHS is tax funded it doesnt need charity
@@kanedNunable no that’s not true, that nearly £40mil all went to the NHS. They even got the GoFundMe style site they used to drop their fees, so they whole lot went to the NHS. Where the greed and deception comes in is after that, they set up a foundation, where that daughter put herself in charge, pay herself ridiculous sums of money to be in charge and also paying her and her husband’s company for dodgy stuff like consultation fees, but none of the original amount was stolen and that did go to the NHS. There wasn’t a way they could get their hands on that, because it was done through a go fund me style website, it always goes direct to the named Charity via those websites. The captain Tom foundation is where the deception began.
Tarnished his family have demoralised the cause he did
He did A good thing for the country and he loved it. better than any goverment did so dont tarnish him.
Nobody is tarnishing him. His family, though, are being scrutinised.
I feel His name will get tarnished through his family thats what i meant to say.@@rb1062
Sad the family had to smear his foundation
I would like to know how much money went to NHS.
All of it to be fair, because that was collected by one of these GoFundMe style pages, so the family would never have got their hands on that, it goes direct to the named Charity, but that’s where this was set up. It was planned all along to make them look like the good guys, which for that, they were, but then they knew that if they set up a foundation people would carry on throwing money at it, and that is where the theft and deception began.
We're there is money there is a fiddle .always has been and always will be .
Mental health!!!there it is...always mentioned!!There was no way holiest of holy Suzannea was gonna say anything but good about the whole situation... Richard thinks different...money grabbing family..knock that pool down
The theiving family built sauna with the charity money, they spent it on luxuries, and not charity
i agree Blue eyes A!
I agree with Rebecca
no, he did nothing wrong, he served his country during the war and peace times, then he did a fantastic thing for the NHS during covid, we cannot take all that away from him, as for his family, their the ones that are tarnished, not him or his good name
Captain Sir Tom will never be tarnished
His family however are because what they've done is an utter disgrace
Moore money, Moore problems!
He was a business man so no surprise lol
The serious fraud office should now be called in to investigate this family and jail sentences should be given out if proven guilty.
I believe his legacy will be fine. His families, not so much.
It was virtue signalling nonsense.
He. You buy the book you think profits go to the nhs not his daughters pocket
Did they say the book profits were going to charity?
No..
Also the NHS charity was to support NHS workers…not for medical treatment
In the Foreword of Captain Tom's book, he seems to infer that he was writing them for charity. That detail was missing from this piece.
@@rb1062 Exactly 👍🏻 Jacqueline is obviously a friend or relative of the Fraudster Family who have brought shame on Captain Tom.
Old guy was a puppet.
He was put up to it for sure by is family
Captain Tom a legend and hero , the lady on the left is a miserable so and so.
I like Richard
Surely it can be cleared up by what was in his will. Also he has another daughter so why are the proceeds of the books in the ingrams account
No the will just determines the destiny of his estate. The issue is whether his estate should properly include book proceeds which were marketed as intended for raising money for the charitable Foundation - not marketed as raising money for himself or (eventually) family.
@tombowen6430 Surely if the money made from the books is intended to go to the family or Captain Tom had it before he died in his accounts it would be classed as part of his estate? I find it odd that it's supposedly for the family and is in the families club nook account ....yet he has another Daughter? So why hasn't part of it gone to her 🤷♀️
@@rosewest5168 payments were made by the publishers directly into the Club Nook Ltd account before he died - they could have told him anything about the destiny of the cash to get him to sign the agreement with publisher. An agent was involved. There are only two directors of Club Nook Ltd - David Colin Ingram-Moore and Hannah Melissa Ingram-Moore. Once in their company control, the cash was not part of Sir Tom’s estate when he passed away so it’s all theirs - no other relatives could touch any of it. Sir Tom had said on camera that the books were to support the Foundation Charity and the preface of one of the books expressly states this. The redirection of the money to Club Nook for the personal use of the Ingram-Moores is therefore a deception. Hopefully the enquiry will investigate fully.
The family shouldn't of been in control of that charity money, every single penny should of gone straight to the NHS
It did, it’s the foundation they set up afterwards, when they realised how popular he was & how people were throwing money around because they liked him, that they could make use out of that. That’s the problem! The original money, from the walk, was collected by a charity money collecting website, that sends it straight to said Charity. So the family couldn’t even get their hands on it if they wanted to, it’s what was set up afterwards, The foundation, is where the problem started, and the stealing began. No doubt genuinely sending that much money to the NHS made them believe that people will be seeing such heroes and good people, that nobody would consider that they would then start billing themselves for dodgy services or paying themselves massive amounts of money for running this charity- that’s what all this is about, as well as taking the money from the proceeds of the three books he wrote, the books he said proceeds were to go to Charity for, but she has stolen that as well!
Thay did not have good intentions
