This is one of my favorite songs ever by them, ironically. I used to want them to put it on a record, but not anymore. It's one of the last few scraps of "Classic Avett" that remain.
Funny, I felt the exact same!! The magic of it might be ruined if it were released globally on a record. In fact I think it is one of those songs that couldn't ever be recorded in a studio to its full potential. Can't capture that emotion

Awesome! I love that this is what they do for their birthday parties! They are just the same as me or any other normal person, just extremely talented. It's too bad that they are larger then life and hard to get to know because I would love to just hang out with them and watch them sing in a simple setting like this!! Great video! Great setting! Just plain perfect!

i cannot love these boys any more. my ex spouse with took me to see them one perfect night at the greek theatre in berkeley, watching the sunset.. celebrating the day i was born and the life we were going to make together. 3 yrs pass: post hunter s heatwavecrowdedsadtryhard trip to vegas for their birthday & on the way home & at our ghosttown... oh!! the things that slipped out of their mouth that day in the only shade for miles well--- it ened up ended it all: that notion is gone from me too.

It's really admirable how they write about such personal subject matter and say things so truthfully. They are very talented men.
