In this vlog, I talk about why Computer Science students often don't go to class (definitely not because I'm lazy right?), show you around Cal's campus, explain my homework assignment for my Combinatorics/Probability class, debate Shake Shack vs. In N Out, and use way too much copyrighted music. I'm from India and our college starts from 9pm till 5 pm with break only at 11:00 to 11:15 and at 1:15 to 1:45 .Also we have lecture for 1:30 hours extending upto 2 hours each.This is nothing compared with our Indian student Life.Should I cry or laugh .

Sumeeth Moolya you can make it as challenging as you want. Some students at cal just breeze through and not have to study hard, others do poorly and don’t really care about GPA, others work their asses off all night and get only a few hours of sleep. I have a feeling that is how it is at every university. School is hard af no matter where you are :)

Chris the kind of guy to do a full day of work, go to class, finish a project, go to the gym, go out with friends, thoroughly apply 8 facial cleansers and at the end say "I was lazy today"

So, it sounds like he is in a 2nd year CS discrete math course or something similar, which is one of my favorite courses. Especially when you're learning stuff like dijkstra's algorithm.

2 years later, how that internship went buddy??(I’m actually downloading that app from the ad lol the video was great), rn I’m in community college and planning to transfer to Berkeley, meanwhile I do english papers about why is a better idea to invest the next years truly learning useful stuff about my career through internet than putting myself in 10 year debt for that nice fancy paper👍🏻🦔

I understood everything you said about your homework class. I took discrete structures I and II and for the coin one, just use the binomial theorem probability formula.

we used to go hang out in the 2nd Floor Evan's building pretty much everyday to play internet games against students at other universities. also in soda hall (CSUA lounge, computers) . no one studied at home or in the dorms. we did our homework there then head out to eat chinese food at 1am on shattuck.

Quick, maybe dumb question: Can you become a software engineer with a CS degree? Bc there are SE majors out there, and I’m leaning towards wanting to become a SE, but I also want to be broad with my skillset and am choosing to major in CS. Is that alright?
Yup! Actually CS is the most popular major by far for software engineers and is usually the recommended path.
