  • Berkeley has consistently ranked top 5 computer science schools in the world, with this year ranked number 1! In this video, I'll be giving you guys the ULTIMATE recap of what my Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degree looked like at the number one ranked university in the world. From freshman year introductory computer science classes (data structures, probability, multivariable calculus) to sophomore year extremely hard classes (introduction to artificial intelligence, computer architecture, efficient algorithms and intractable problems, and physics) and my senior year I took classes such as databases, astrophysics, and operating systems - where I suffered A TON!
    I spent an absurd amount of time planning, filming, and editing this video so a like to the video will be greatly appreciated!

    About me: I'm a Senior at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I am also a member of the number one ranked swimming team in the country and arguably the world! I enjoy making videos about my daily life and try and keep them as entertaining as possible. In my free time, I play the piano, draw, and start too many side projects I never finish.

      Kingshuk Gupta hahahahaha, same as me. 24 hours a day is not enough for me, there has been like 3/4 month period where I couldn’t even afford going on a nights out. But the harder subject was definitely physics for me, especially when it comes to EMs and QMs.

    • @idks477
      @idks477 2 роки тому +1

      @@xxdxma6700 Dayum, that kinda scares me. I'm still in my senior year of high school so I still have time. I want physics as my main major and I already did a lot of QM just because of my interest in physics. I wanna go into quantum computing and therefore want a background in CS. So I'm confused whether to take CS as a major or a minor. Anyways best of luck dude. I really hope you do well

    • @xxdxma6700
      @xxdxma6700 2 роки тому

      Kingshuk Gupta yh thx man. I’d also suggest learn some programming as well, cus all the ‘intro courses’ weren’t rlly intro. They basically expect you to learn a language in like a week whilst you got all the physics content on the side as well.

Just keep training and uploading videos people like you are really going to motivate a lot of people and make a statement that you can practice the things you love or you want along with doing one of hardest degree(or job etc.) in life.

    do different colleges have their computer science courses in different languages? i assumed everyone used java but idk

    • @marcosricopeng
      @marcosricopeng  2 роки тому

      I'm sure they do as the languages depend on the concepts taught. For example, it would make sense to teach data structures in Java but if you're going to learn about computer architecture than C and Assembly most closely explains that.
