  • In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1998 Ford Mustang GT. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

    For those whining about the auto they are actually pretty sweet with a built 4R70W and a stall. WAYYY faster and more consistent than the 5 speeds that came in these. They were a good 5spd though. I agree for fun you need a manual but don't think it's faster than an auto can be because it's not even close.

    I also own a 98GT and this one sounds completely different than mine does. Trying to figure out exactly what is causing it to sound different. The rev's are way different also. My GT has a real fast response up and down on the rev. This one kinda gradually goes back down once you've rev'd it.
    Was the motor in this mustang swapped out with a different ford motor or is it the stock engine? This is gonna drive me nuts lol. And no, it's not because i have a different exhaust package than this one does.

    @LoveTheCity123 haha you can't be serious. The very first side airbags didn't come out until 1995. Very few cars had side airbags in the late 90's. It wasn't until the early 2000's that they became a regular feature. So yeah it's gonna have few safety features because it is a car from 1998

    @grinnellalarms yeah, but with a manual you can get more out of the engine, and you can tell if something is going wrong a lot faster then you would with a auto, plus there is something about being able to feel more of whats going on at your hands and feet thats just amazing and it isn't really hassle if you take a little bit and learn how to drive one.

    @hotzeaCT it's when you're cruising at highway speed, the transmission shifts into a higher gear to lower the engine RPM's thus getting better fuel economy and less wear and tear on the engine.

    • @Jordan-ns6hq
      @Jordan-ns6hq 9 років тому

      TheBay'sFinest Me personally i prefer a 94 GT because you get a 5.0. I have one that's a 5 speed and it's great to cruise around in and actually gets really decent gas mileage. Although $4500 sounds around the price of a 5 speed, It should be a couple hundred dollars cheaper for an automatic. But the price might be up for the low mileage.

    I like the bodystyle of this gen and the size, but the thing that killed these are the engines. 225 hp out of a 4.6 V8 was awful. Even in 1998 when the LS1 Z28 had 305+hp for the 98 Camaro and Firebird.

  • @IKhanNot
    @IKhanNot 13 років тому

    @Sparksterfu HP only tells half the story. These engines produce nearly 300 lb.ft of torque at low RPMs, if coupled to a manual I doubt your G6 would beat this car.
