I know this comment is like a year old, but his burns are so severe that I doubt there's any nerve tissue to actually feel any pain. Usually with very severe burns you can't feel it.
All the screenwriters and producers need to do is draw inspiration from the Two-Face two-part episode from Batman TAS - some of the best in an already awesome series.
"When you're finished, type in your name." "Uh, Bruce? There's no text box or anything. Is it case-sensitive because sometimes that- oh okay, he's gone."

I think it has to do with the video uploader wanting a low contrast image that will stand out for viewers to easily be drawn into and click. If you reduce the contrast on a color graded image, the colors used in the highlights, shadows, and mid-tones will become more apparent (blue and magenta/orange here). A great example of “when a good man staving off the overwhelming forces of evil turns, everyone is in jeopardy”. Harvey Dent was the comic book epitome of this, a man who had such potential for goodness (which Batman saw within him) who was brought down by “one bad day” as Joker would call it. The turn to Two Face shows how even the best of us can fall.
Imagine being in a movie with Gary Oldman, Christian Bale and even Morgan Freeman!! And be the one who steals the show, such an idol, icon, great actor, Heath Ledger 🙌🏻🤍
I am not a huge fan of CGI being used in movies over practical effects but this is a rare exception, they actually made it look real, that when I first saw him back in 2008 when I was 5, I thought they actually burned half of his face off, such childhood memories
Batman: "The Joker is killing, burning, maiming, robbing, terrorizing, torturing and holds the city by the balls. I'm going to use Gotham's phones to find him." Fox: "ThAtS uNeThIcAl !"
Love this scene for the cinematography and lighting. Due to the cool light coming from the right side of the screen, in contrast with the warm light of the room, our eyes focus on that cool light and thus, the burnt face of Harvey, giving us the impression that in this scene Two-face, that is, the evil and vengeful side of Harvey, is in control. That and the "SHUT UP!" voice line is a clear giveaway.
This might be the best trilogy off all time. I know it’s in the top 5 or 10 but it really might be the best of all time which is a high bar but the acting, directing, writing is all there
I don’t think I appreciated enough how insane the cgi in this movie was as a kid (11 going on 12). I knew the whole movie was fake, but the atmosphere, the acting, etc etc let alone my ignorance that Nolan tried to be as authentic with his practical effects as he could made these scenes where cgi was not only rarely used in his cinema but also used to make things simply look like real life. I wasn’t seeing (and still aren’t) seeing a man with dots on his face. I see a man in excruciating chronic pain on his skin, tendons, nerves, eyes, muscles, let alone a broken and battered soul that can’t even blink his left eye to simply leave things to chance, after the death of his rock and love interest in such a brutal way. She did not die a quick death. Explosive fire like that simply doesn’t allow it, and he only got “half” the taste of it. Also wtf, dude took a shot with exposed EVERYTHING and the shit slid down his faltered side...

I know this comment is like a year old, but his burns are so severe that I doubt there's any nerve tissue to actually feel any pain. Usually with very severe burns you can't feel it.
@@Peacock__ Wow I can’t believe I made this a year ago XD. Also you make a fair point
We need a two-face movie, and this guy to reprise his role
With the darkness of the Joker Movie! Could be epic!
His name is Aaron Eckhart
Aaron Eckhart could reprise Two Face in a DC Black movie just like Joker
A two face stand-alone movie would be perfect .
All the screenwriters and producers need to do is draw inspiration from the Two-Face two-part episode from Batman TAS - some of the best in an already awesome series.
Yessss
In 2023 the CGI still looks incredibly realistic! Timeless movie
I know many people say Joker is why the dark knight was a huge succsess and your right but so was the cast of harvy dent was also spot on.
a little appreciation to the guy that edited this to 2:22.
Thanks to this Two-Face I realize how little movement our jaws actually make when we're talking
Eckhart performance as Harvey Dent/Two-Face is absolutely incredible and I can't believe I never gave the man the credit he deserved for it.
“I didn’t know what they were gonna do to you”

Two Face yelling SHUT UP is hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Things that aren’t supposed to be funny in this movie are hilarious 🤣

So that makes him, not two, but half face.

Half.....one side dead, one side alive, which makes to faces

"When you're finished, type in your name."
"Uh, Bruce? There's no text box or anything. Is it case-sensitive because sometimes that- oh okay, he's gone."
What does it mean ? Care to explain ?
@Lady Mercy It's strange to me that people like you absolutely hate government intervention into crime, yet demand it in other aspects.
"Look, I knew you'd ask that stupid question, just type your dam name in. Every single permutation of lower case and upper case, first and middle and last names, is acceptable. It only took me a few mins to get this sonar up and going, it was typing in all the passwords possibilities that took a while."
I like how this was one of the only times Harvey decided heads or tails by spinning the coin instead of flipping it like he usually does.
0:14 when he drinks the shot, a drop comes out of his burned side of his mout. INSANE detail knowing it’s CGI

Fun fact, this bar they filmed it in is called Twin Anchors in Chicago. They’re known for their ribs and burgers, which are delicious. 10/10.
flame grilled, just like Dent
Not so fun fact: It's their, not they're ribs unless you mean they are ribs which I highly doubt.

Why does his face look blue in the thumbnail?
I guess that's the color grading for 4k hdr
I think it has to do with the video uploader wanting a low contrast image that will stand out for viewers to easily be drawn into and click. If you reduce the contrast on a color graded image, the colors used in the highlights, shadows, and mid-tones will become more apparent (blue and magenta/orange here). This is only speculation, but maybe it’s the answer!
It’s Blue-Face
@@guywithhat7721 I hate you
True
Everyone talks about this movie's Joker, but often seem to forget that this interpretation of Two Face was also really cool
0:05 I love the way the camera moves from the right side of Harvey’s face, where the bartender is acting non-caringly to the left side of Harvey’s face where the bartender starts acting stressed.
“I thought you was dead.”
“Half.” Literally
When Two-Face said "SHUT UP" that just gave me chills every time I watched the film
Wuertz flinching in response is so satisfying. He’s one of the few victims of Two-Face’s wrath, who the audience won’t feel much sympathy for.
@@speedracer2008 Yep.
Aaron should have gotten an academy award for this role. Right behind Heath with his performance.
Harvey has completely lost it at this point. Drinking that shot would have have been so damn painful when the Whiskey touches his exposed facial muscles.
So nobody at all is going to talk about how the gun shots audio tail end fades into the noise of the electronics? You have amazing performances, visuals and sound design all on display in this scene.
Having the video 2:22 long is peak humor
I love how the liquor dribbles out of his chin when he takes the shot. Amazing
I love that Bruce knew Lucius wouldn’t go for this and worked the self-destruct into the shut down of the system at the end.
I love how he still uses the batman voice when talking to Lucious like he doesn't know who he is. 😆

What I like about this two face is that he doesn't have a split personality, he's just harvey dent being rightfully upset about his situation.
I never knew Harvey had a two personality

The “Half” he says kills me 😂😂😂
To the people saying that the whiskey should hurt like hell on the open wounds, reminder that his face was burnt off, 3rd degree burns kill nerves and he looks like he as 5th degree burns so no he feels nothing.
I love Heath Ledger as much as the next guy, but the fucking dude wasn't even in this scene

I am not a huge fan of CGI being used in movies over practical effects but this is a rare exception, they actually made it look real, that when I first saw him back in 2008 when I was 5, I thought they actually burned half of his face off, such childhood memories
Two face walks into a bar .
Batman: When you're finished, type in your name.
Lucius: Try to type his name immediately
Batman: Now Wait a minute...
The CGI side of Dent’s face fooled me for the longest time. This film is amazing!
Aaron Eckhart was criminally underrated as Harvey Dent/Two-Face. To me, he was perfect for the role.
0:23 When a customer says, "If it doesn’t scan, then it’s free. 😂"
lol, honestly
Batman: "The Joker is killing, burning, maiming, robbing, terrorizing, torturing and holds the city by the balls. I'm going to use Gotham's phones to find him."
Fox: "ThAtS uNeThIcAl !"
""That's funny 'cause I don't know what's gonna happen to you either "
"That's funny." *spins coin* "Because I don't know what's gonna happen to you, either!"
This might be the best trilogy off all time. I know it’s in the top 5 or 10 but it really might be the best of all time which is a high bar but the acting, directing, writing is all there
I strongly agree
Prequels are close second tho
You can see the drink dripping out his chin
That’s some spot on cgi
Wayne using his Batman voice in front of Fox (who knows his true identity) is hilarious 😂
People don’t give Eckhart enough credit for his performance cause Heath outshined him, but he did so fucking great in the role. Legit one of my favorite parts is his acting
Easily my favorite Two-Face.
Easily.
Best Two-Face and my absolute favorite.
What a bartender. This what happens when you float the tab too long.
