Luggage is the dwelling place of Overseas Filipino Workers' stuff whenever they work abroad. Brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, OFW was destined to go back home for their safety.
But instead of clothes and stuff, it's their fear that loathes and the luggage became the repository of anxiety, worries and doubt about their health. It is now a heavy burden at their back for the possibility that they bare infected with the virus.
After weeks of quarantine, the OFW tested negative and the metaphor of luggage disappear, no more fear, no more worry. But at last, everything is unexpected. He suffer from deep pain as love for family is still forbidden because of another challenge created by the community quarantine.
This poem entitled "LUGGAGE" is the Final Requirement in our subjects, English Proficiency for the Empowered Professionals (EPR) and The Contemporary World (TCW).
