These pedals are great sounding, even without the blend great. I can see all three on the pedal board and you can just dial up light mellow to a little grungier.
Also, I love your videos, you really explain them well, and you show the functionality of the pedals better than anyone else other than possibly Anderton. Thanks for the videos keep it up.

Picked up The Drive and the Black Haze based on this review, they didn’t disappoint. I keep the green one on all the time to warm the head that I use and then add the black one when called for. The two work together wonderfully.

EBS pedals always sounded nice on bass, now they even look good.

Best demo I've seen, you not only let us hear how the pedals sound but the on screen pics sold me!

That would definitely help with a purchase decision.

Even though the Black Haze is higher gain than The Drive, i like it more at low gain settings than the actual lower gain Drive. Interesting.

Out of this bunch I like the "Drive me crazy" the best for bass. But - I have the Billy Sheehan signature and I am sure I can get all of these sounds out of it. Plus the Billy Sheehan has a compressor and - very important for bass - the option to blend in the clean signal to contain the lower frequencies no matter how wild and crazy your distortion on top goes. So that still is my No.1 for Bass from EBS. Besides, I hope EBS one day brings a Billy Sheehan pedal with an DI-out. They are already at the version 3, so that would be a nice add on for version 4.

The pedals are fun but I actually especially dig your clean sound. Building up from that, you obtain killer tones with the pedals. Great playing from Lars Lehmann of course.

Killer demo. \m/ out of all of these pedals, I like the black haze and the drive me crazy the most. Especially since I like high distortion pedals on bass. I did use to own the drive me crazy distortion pedal and it sounds killer. If you ask me, the drive me crazy is like the pantera of bass distortion pedals. If I were to buy a different ebs distortion pedal, I would of liked the black haze. It has a thick heavy sound. All in all, they sound awesome.

I wonder what it would sound like with an octave pedal underneath "Black Haze"?

I feel like these could be just one pedal with a wide gain range encompassing all 3 of them but eh, what do I know.

What kind of amp (if any) are the pedals running into? I’m curious if this is what they sound like for a solid state or tube amp. Great demo!

Gregor, when turning up the gain of the Black Haze did you adapt the volume in the after production? I would have expected a significant increase in volume when cranking up the gain. Thanks.

You should check one called "big muff pi". Naaaasty distortion on that one.
