I love how the old USSR dated things like guns and tools.👍
Great job! Like blue color.
It looks a lot better just needs tender loving care.
Плоскости фрезернуть бы. Шпаклёвка не есть гуд. И почему смазки на вал не добавили?
Good job!
Two concerns:
First why use Bondo? Every hit in that area will cause an ugly chip to appear. I ended up simply running my mig and putting “dots” in to fill those pits in the casting then ground it all smooth on mine. Lil more work but I think it was totally worth it.
And secondly
I’m hoping you greased that base collar and screw?
I know you will get years of use out of it! Thanks for taking us along on the restoration 😉
Thank you for your objective criticism. I'll try to do better next time.
Before use, everything was lubricated with grease, just did not get on the video
@@restorationmycraft8337 yes filler will chip first time it is hit-a tig welder will do a better job filling holes with way less grinding-also if you want a durable surface they make hardfacing rods for areas under severe wear or service www.lincolnelectric.com/en-us/consumables/hardfacing/Pages/wearshield-stick-electrodes.aspx
Great job... Pretty Cool!!!! Great Job ,,,,
У моего дедушки точно такие же были, сейчас у друга а мастерской. 🤗
Шпаклевание - это хорошая реставрация тисков??? Сомневаюсь.
In Soviet Russia.... Vise fixes you....
Very nicely done.. Love that blue... I hope u went back to grease the swivel base and lead screw.. Again, very nice job...
Thanks. Yes of course then all lubricated
You wasn't trying to restore it to look pretty, just bring it back to life.
Nice job on this old vise that has evidently served someone for a long time. I'm not a fan of using body filler as it will not hold up to even normal use on a vise. But it's okay and looks good if the vise will be only for display. Good work!
The last two digits are the year of the standard. In this case, 1975.
Что за чудесная краска
👍
Nice video. How about some lubrication?
if this is your first attempt at restoration, then bravo sir. if it aint your first, shame on you, that was a very rough and half-assed job.
Yes, I'm just learning( but I like it and I will try to do better!
That is a really GREAT vice-A keeper! I own 5,but not THAT good.Rebuilt 2 of 'em.
I realize it's kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch new series online ?

@Everett London Yup, have been watching on Instaflixxer for since april myself :)

What is in the red spray bottle that you sprayed on the turning platform?

Good job! Did you put grease on those rails etc. Didn’t look like it.
Thank! Yes, grease applied to these rails. But it didn’t get on the video (
