- Wondering how the eAssist system on the 2013 Chevy Malibu works? It is an amazing system that none of the competion can touch. Come out to Gusweiler's for a test drive. It is also offered on the Buick Regal and Buick LaCrosse.
Looks like this technology has been extremely reliable. Good job General Motors.
FLJAMESFL no it hasn’t...
It’s literally been the most faulty Malibu Chevy has made
I have the 2013 eco car been great and at 102k miles first problem ive had was the active shutter system locked up and prevents air flow. Otherwise i do get 30-34mpg
On mine my battery shows one bar lit green should I have battery replaced?
do you have 2 batteries and do you have to get the lithium battery have to be serviced
Does it need a functioning battery? Can the car run with just the motor it self?
I disabled the auto off/on in my malibu. Now it doesn't do that anymore
How??
How do I do that
@@SpicyTamale I disconnected the hood latch sensor, but know this, it will trigger the check engine light.
@@tashanicole1242 disconnected the hood latch sensor
@@pollym.2126 Ooh okay, thank you sm!!!
I have a 2014 LT no eco. I’m now glad.Looks like more shit to go wrong and. Not cheap to fix
Girl! Have a 2013 eco and that is hell and costly
@@i3eautiful24 how many miles ?
My only thing is..., or that I've heard many times. With auto stop or auto start/stop sitting at a light with it being 90-100 degrees outside the AC won't be running because the engine won't be on. How could you avoid not having the AC cut off?
I have a 2013 Buick Lacrosse with the same system. The air condition has 2 settings, eco and normal. in normal, the car does not go into auto stop if the compressor is running, but in "eco air" setting, it will not cool the car down as much on a very hot day due to it stopping the compressor so it can auto stop. I may lose 1 mpg in normal mode, so that is where I keep it on hot days.
why did GM discontinue this system and why didn't they just fix the problems?
Not worth it. It's a European design.

Well Chevrolet. This little technological invention is terrible. I mean you are failing your customers. Horrible build quality. Too many recalls. I’m disappointed seriously.
