Thanks, Mike. Dealer tried to charge +400 usd to 10k maintenance just to change spark plugs, but i was able to do it by myself - thanks to this video of yours.
Another design flaw by Harley on this bike. I can't decide if I want this bike or not, it's a mixed bag of of good and bad. It should not be that difficult to replace air filter. Good video.
Great video! I own a 2022 Nightster and you showed me how to get the to air filter and the spark plugs. Luckily, I do not have the hassle of removing the gas tank as the cover over the air filter is just a plain cover. I am still annoyed at Harley Davidson for the difficult location of the spark plugs and that Harley charges 2.25 hours to replace the spark plugs. Have you found an iridium plug to fit this engine as this would lessen the service interval for this repair?
On the Pan America, I need to take the tank off to clean the air filter at each service anyway.. at that point pulling the air box to replace the plugs isn't that much more work in my case. But yeah, these bikes were not designed with 'ease of maintenance' in mind.
Thank you for this series! I took my 2022 PanAmS in for the 1K service (first one for the dealer) and now I’m throwing errors left and right. I took it back to the dealer, but they can’t find anything wrong, so I guess I’ll take a look.
Hope you get it worked out.. dealer support / expertise seems to be hit or miss with this bike. My bike has only been to the dealer so far for software updates / recalls.. so far so good as far as my own bike's reliability goes with 7,500 miles right now.
I love my PAS, but it is truly mind-boggling that Harley would put an air filter for AN ADVENTURE BIKE under a tank that requires a 25 minute video to explain it. Great video as always though!
It looks like the fuel line uses a quick connector at the fuel pump end too, curious why the manual doesn't have you disconnecting there so you don't have to fish the line in and out when pulling the tank?
that connector has a clip securing it, but yes it does appear to be a disconnect fitting as well. Not sure why the manual does not simply have you disconnect at that end. On the HD Service Portal, there is a video of a factory tech removing the tank, and he does it the same way, disconnecting behind the right side cover and leaving the fuel line connected to the pump.
Harley designer didnt communicate with their mechanic team i be like u fool its gonna be a bitfh to remove the tank and what u snorting regarding the air filter placement.

Your videos are incredibly clear and helpful! Have used them multiple times!
Thanks Mike I really appreciate these service videos. 👍👍👊
Keep up the good work! Cheers from Brazil!
Very good videos. Well done well explained. Will definitely watch them all again when doing maintenance.
Thank you! I really appreciate what you do!

So we can clean the stock paper air filter with soapy water?cool. I’m not sure about a k&N
Yup, per the service manual, the stock filter is washable.
