Beautiful playing, Cooper, as usual. One of the best sounding acoustic guitars I’ve heard in a long time. Amazing tonal balance and timbre. Lovely.
Cooper needs to do a album of his instrumentals 👍🏻
Great information and demo, as always!
It sounds clear and clean., relaxed voice.
I have two great 12fret Washburns love them both.😊
Looks a lot like my Collings 002H. Looks and sounds great!
Unbelievable guitar and playing
Thanks. I recently bought a Furch 00 with 25.5 inch scale. I love the guitar but all my other ones are 25.0. It’s a bit of an adjustment.
I have a ‘57 ( Brazilian rosewood) 12 fret 00-21, that I love . I find this body shape ideal, in all respects.
It works very well with strumming, too.
Used to own a triple "ought"...Very dynamic and resonant , however, it tended to be a little "tubby" (overly bassy) sounding here n there . Never could find the right strings for it. The 00 version might create for a more balanced experience . Great feel for fingerstyle playing for sure.
Beautiful instrument, beautifully played by Cooper. As others have commented, the price is going to be prohibitive for a lot of people. Nice to see and hear it anyway.
I own one I love it the nut is 1 13/16 and Martin spec sheet says the same thing
The price is actually $4600. It’s too rich for my blood, but it looks to be worth the price. This is a neat package!
such a cool guitar
First off, gorgeous guitar, now that I’ve stated the quite obvious here 🤣
Until I can play like Cooper ( Not happening ), I’ll be content with my Martin 000~15SM here. I’m not trying to compare that either because it is a different acoustic. I thought I’d hear and feel much more of a difference on a 12 fret model too, however I really don’t? With that being said, I personally much rather have the standard 14 fret model and only for the easier access to that 12th fret but that’s just my personal take on the whole thing. The slotted headstock’s definitely look cool too but the string change is a bit more of a pain too hah!
Anyhow, great video and as always fantastic playing Cooper 🤙
This guitar is indeed an expensive decision and beautiful though.
i love 0012-28 ,looked as classical guitar
Goodness that guitar sounds and looks glorious. I want a good Martin so bad. No cheap tho. 😢
Unless I missed, there was no mention of Nut width, which is often a matter for consideration. One review said 1 and 7/8. Spec seems to say 1 and 3/4. I wonder what it is.
This biggest miss on this guitar is the nut width. I have no idea why a guitar that’s clearly a finger style type guitar would have such a narrow nut width. It should be 1.75” at minimum.
i got the 012-28, it's smoller and i love it
Are you comfortable at the nut width as 00 or 000 or om? Thank you.
I have a 1971 D-28S which is a twelve fret guitar with a slotted headstock. Not sure why this is not a OO-28S and instead is called a 0012-28? The design of all of these involved lengthening the body so that it meets the neck at the 12th fret rather than shortening the neck (the “s”, I think is for “slotted” not short). In any case Cooper’s playing is beautiful. There are examples of Santa Cruz 00 guitars on UA-cam, but this really sounds at least as good….
Love this one, just my size. Unfortunately, can't afford it. Outrageously expensive.
Does it feel same at the nut width as 00 or 000-28 md? Thank you.
Nice playing on a sweet guitar. My wife would kill me. 🥴
We say triple o (oh) here in Britain I assure you.😊
Hump at the nut @ 3:52
Chris, yes that 12-fret dreadnought is slope shoulder and does not fit a dreadnought case!
What case did Martin provide?
This is my dream guitar. I just received my 0-18 because I couldn't afford the my dream guitar
An 0-18 is still an awesome guitar though 🙂
@@KT-fn6me absolutely zero complaints. It's perfect
Actually, Martin barely moves the bridge at all. They make the 12-fret body by stretching the upper bout. Taylor and others move the bridge without changing the body. Same with the 000-15sm vs the 000-15m. Hold them upright face to face and you will see. The bridge moves lower but only by a very little.
Great demo though!
Agree!! Larrivee move the bridge down and the tone is SWEET for doing so.
May I send this link to Santa Claus?
Did you mention scale length?
24.9”
You ought to say aught.
Looking at either an Eastman e20OO or this Martin. The Eastman looks so much for the price point but I can stretch to to the £4700 GBP and I don’t want to scrimp and regret it in 20 years when my kids have flown the nest and my wife has left me. I can place the Martin next to my 000-28ec and know that I have 2 loyal, forever products of mass that will forever satisfy me until my miserable inevitable end. Please…. help me…
Ahhhh …
hookem horns…
Chris and Cooper. Why does everyone say it WRONG?. It's 0, like the number zero, NOT the letter o. I asked Chris Martin at NAMM several years ago that same question. He said he agrees, with my question, most people say it incorrectly.
Do you pronounce a 30-06 rifle "thirty-oh-six" as well?😁
I call it a zero zero 12 - 28
Small guitars have a sweeter voice. Much less boom.
Alas if i sold ALL of my possessions, including clothes (but probably not underpants) I still couldn't afford one of these.
Bob Dylan vibes…
I have a few British friends who say, "double naught"
“Aught” is a southern, thing…..y’all….
5500$ too expensive. Not worth the money
Only to the untrained ear…😀
