I make cheaty green pozole with mild green enchilada sauce, a green Hernandez can of salsa, two cubes of chicken bouillon, a can of hominy, and a packet of pulled chicken from Del Rey, I add a bit of water and garnish it, it's perfect. This video is what i wanted to see, my Husband is a trucker and I look for easy recipes for him.
To all the people watching this video and saying THIS IS NOT HOW YOU MAKE POZOLE. Tú callarte la boca. Some people no have a time to make the original recipe. Also Pato sauce comes from Mexico. In Mexico we use pato sauce for all lot of different recipes such as. Arroz for a spicier flavor instead of your traditional roma tomatoes, we use pato sauce for carne con chile, enchiladas, caldos like menudo, or chile con huevos. My personal favorite Pato sauce is the original yellow can and the jalapeño one because they are the most spicy ones out of the three. But in Mexico we have a saying in spanish Trabaja con lo que tienes which means work with what you have. At least she's making a delicious soup. Some pochas don't even bother to make anything mexican related. If you like the original recipe good for you. But I as a Mexican approve of this video because I know the wonders that pato sauce can achieve. Especially if one has no time to make the original recipe if it tastes like pozole and it taste amazing who cares. Maybe you can achieve the same thing using this ingredients. I personally recommend to use the original pato sauce and the green can which is the jalapeño one. And yes powder chile like cayenne pepper for extra heat. And a little tip use caldo de pollo aka chicken bullion for extra flavor in Mexico where I come from we use chicken not pork but thats just my preference you can use whatever meat you like. But the broth is great to kick the flavor up a notch. And bay leaves for flavor too.
Ummm.... thank you so much for your kind words and support. I’m going to try your recommendations too. This is a very simple way to make pozole. I thought sharing this would be helpful since I was a single mom raising my lil girl, working 50+ hours a week not including hours of commute time. So on my Sundays I wanted easy food to make. Thanx for watching and for having my back 💞 it really does mean a lot ✨
I was thinking this same thing, like if it tastes good, who cares! I don't always make food from scratch if I'm low on time, if I can get a similar flavor with a short cut then I'm all for it 😅
I've been making pork Pozole since mid 2022 because it lasts about 5 days (one person) then either I make another batch, or take a day or two break and cook something else, and back to this pork Pozole. I enjoyed watching your video. Never thought to add onion without chopping it, and the cilantro, which I love. Thank you so much for doing this video. Always looking for tips to improve either the taste of something or finding little gems like adding cilantro. I usually serve it with shredded cabbage, radishes, chopped cilantro and lime. Best wishes...looking for more of your videos. i do like a thicker broth so I add two 28 oz cans of enchilada sauce. Can't hurt...🙂
Thank you for watching. It’s nice to hear other ideas how to season or serve it. It’s so easy to make. I also like a thicker broth If you like albondigas You might enjoy another video on my channel. I made it today and added different spices.
My favorite thing is to make posole fast and easy like this. And then they bring it to my friends who cook it the longer way more authentic. The only difference is the amount of work the flavor is still there.😅 I'll get a group of guys in the kitchen helping me, after drinking all our beers and listening to festive music it's a great way to enjoy a big pot of soup
My mom used to do pozole with El Pato too. Taste a bitter different than using dry chiles but still good. It's a different option nothing wrong with that.
Dang really I thought in another comment the white guy was making fun of us. I didn’t bout the human flesh was used back then Gross 🤮 guess u had to eat what u had to eat back then yikes 😱
I've never seen pozole made this way but I will have to give it a try with the El Pato enchilada sauce. I always use fresh ingredients when I make my posole down to the 🌶️ chiles. The only thing that got me was the cabbage you did not rinse it out I'm a fan for rinsing out all of my vegetables especially when it comes to salmonella that's been attacking vegetables lately these past several years. But I want to give a shout out thanks to the video and once again I will be giving your recipe a try. God bless you girl amen and Happy New years to you and your family as well.
Well I need your recipe 😊 One day I will try it from scratch. I never thought about rinsing the cabbage, I've always seen my family cut it without washing. But good heads up thank you. I wash all of my other veggies and fruits (not Raspberries 😝 they get soggy) I appreciate your kind thoughts, God Bless you and your family, Happy New Year ☺️
Thank you for this easy short recipe. Obviously people don't understand that is what this recipe is supposed to be. I am going to try and make it today, but you did not say what ratio of hominy & El Pato Sauce? I cook from scratch too but sometimes you are just craving the taste and don't have the time or the energy
