Small correction: Labyrinth Wall Shadow destroys monster LESS THAN 1600, not less than or equal to. This is to make LWS work like how Wall Shadow would work when attacking a monster, as an opposing monster with 1600 atk would destroy both Wall Shadow and the defending card.
Celtic guard of noble arms was called that because noble arms are referred to as "seiken" (lit. Holy sword) in the ocg, which is a pretty commonly used word in not just YGO, but in a lot of japanese fantasy media. This somewhat generic naming in turn had the tcg side make sure that "noble arms" is always translated from "seiken" despite noble arms being widely associated with the noble knights.
Fun fact for power rangers nerds: the weapon mikazukinoyaiba has looks EXACTLY like zenaku's crescent blade. They even went for similar theming with the card art in the form of a moonlit backdrop

He must be mispronouncing it on purpose for engagement, there was no reason for him to say the Scottish team that's not Rangers as many times in the segment as he had. Plus the king Arthur being a "Celt" bit (the accuracy of which you could probably write a thesis on) really all felt like a "rile up people from Britain, Ireland, and possibly France for engagement" moment.
Anyway, I really liked this top ten because it somehow felt a return to how you actually used to do them (the intro, the background music, little to no anime talk, no jokes). I hope future videos will be like this as well!
I love the Starry Night archetype, Seiyaryu is my favorite card. I got one from the DDS promo set and it became the ace monster of my own deck. I was so happy to see it get a retrain
If Dark Steel came out at a weird point in the Link Era. It and a bunch of over balanced Links like the Flame Swordsman and Joker Link followed the wave of Broken Links like Link Cross and OG Firewall. Dark Steel is a little too resource dependent, slow, and restrictive to be played. Konami can errata it to be a Soft, or a Link 2/3, remove the lock, or revive more guys and it might see play in coping Dragon Link brews
The Darkness Metal Dragon line isn't quite accurate. It was originally a card in S4 of GX summoned by using "Metal Plus" on Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon. It had spell negation as an effect and the usual Darkness Dragon dragon gy atk buff. Then when printed in the TCG it got a different effect. It has no real connection to Black Metal dragon apart from both needing a "Metal" trap to summon in both GX and DM.
The only thing Seiyaryu was known for back then, was being a promo card in the early days. You can get it along w/ the equip spell salamadra & trap card acid trap hole, in boxed copies of yugioh dark duel stories
Eventually we'll get a card where as a quick effect yours and the opponent's field both count as Umi until the end of the duel and if it would be negated by any card effect the negation only lasts for one turn.
If I remember, the creation of the card Monster Reborn Reborn was made in a celebration for the release of the OCG artwork version of some card into the TCG, Monster Reborn was one of these card that have the OCG art avaliabe in the TCG.
Celtic Guardian has a bastardized name. It's actually part of the Elf archetype because it's the Elf Swordsman. The Legend of Zelda looking retrain is Elf Holy Swordsman which is why they were forced to stick Noble Arms on it, because Noble Arms is the Holy Sword sub-archetype of the Holy ("Noble") archetype alongside it's brother Holy Flame ("Infernoble"). Elf Holy Swordsman has Holy Sword in the name, so it has to be part of Noble Arms in it's bastardized form.

A couple of months ago I might have agreed about monster reborn reborn, but I've found it to be extremely useful to turn the downside into an upside by banishing monsters that WANT to be banished. It then triggers monster effects that's beneficial. To me all in one card, PLUS I can bring back a monster that's going to be useful to me that I can use as link material at least.
It's funny Starry Dragon is #1 when Serpent Knight Dragon finally got a retrain announced a few days ago, especially given that this script was probably written months before. Hopefully, it will get a full archetype as well. I've been saying for a year I'm going to make a Starry Dragon deck in Master Duel, but I've never done it. Probably, because it doesn't seem that good. Something I find interesting that Starry Dragon is, apparently, female.
Another nail in the coffin for the Starry Knights being Christmas monsters is each of their combined ATK and DEF equals 2500, a nod to the 25th of December.

If they hit the graveyard, which means they need can trigger their effects while getting one on the field from the graveyard, that's a plus 3 In advantage
Due note that "Monster Reborn Reborn" is even worse when the also retrained it again as "Spell Card, Monster Reborn" that while you can't attack the turn you use it it is also a quick play that references the scene in the anime where both Yugi and Arcana use the spell at the same time despite it not being possible to do at the time.

In defense of the the Elemental Lords, that's what the Elemensabers were for. Their effects let them change what attribute they were in grave making it easier to get a lord out. The only issue is that you needed a way to dump 5 sabers into the grave fast.

I love starry knight cards. They really need some support. Another good level 7 light dragon would do wonders for the archetype. One tht can return to hand to negate possibly. Also a new extradeck boss would be cool. Mabe one tht would let u summon starry night dragon and hopfully "new" negate dragon multiple times per turn

Mikazukinoyaiba, the Moon Fang Dragon doesn't search during the end phase. It's an ignition effect. HYPOTHETICALLY... You could use magnamhut to search it during the end phase, summon it, and then search for something else on your next turn, or your turn 0

It's funny Starry Dragon is #1 when Serpent Knight Dragon finally got a retrain announced a few days ago, especially given that this script was probably written months before. Hopefully, it will get a full archetype as well. I've been saying for a year I'm going to make a Starry Dragon deck in Master Duel, but I've never done it. Probably, because it doesn't seem that good. Something I find interesting that Starry Dragon is, apparently, female.
Another nail in the coffin for the Starry Knights being Christmas monsters is each of their combined ATK and DEF equals 2500, a nod to the 25th of December.

My favorite part of “a legendary ocean” is the card “warrior of Atlantis” adds “a legendary ocean” to your hand… a card that doesn’t exists, so why does it work because Konami said so

Azar, and I'm just guessing monster.Reborn reborn will probably get limited 21 due to how the new Maliss Deck works Send how they like to be banished. Face up preferably by their own effect or one of their traps affects. But if you use this card you can banish 2 of them from the graveyard. If they hit the graveyard, which means they need can trigger their effects while getting one on the field from the graveyard, that's a plus 3 In advantage

Due note that "Monster Reborn Reborn" is even worse when the also retrained it again as "Spell Card, Monster Reborn" that while you can't attack the turn you use it it is also a quick play that references the scene in the anime where both Yugi and Arcana use the spell at the same time despite it not being possible to do at the time.
Wight baking might be silly, but it's super helpful to the strategy. Sometimes you just need to take your family to a yam bake.

Basically the idea is to make this card both a more “Premium” version of Darkness Metal Dragon AND a Retrain of Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. It has improved versions of both their effects… It has Shining Dragon’s effect but flatly improved, and it has Darkness Metal Dragon’s without the OPT’s AND as (Quick Effects), as well as more flexible, albeit at the cost of making said effects more costly to use.
Fun Fact: “Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon” and “Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon” share the same effect of “Gains 300 ATK for each Dragon monster in your GY.”
In defense of the the Elemental Lords, that's what the Elemensabers were for. Their effects let them change what attribute they were in grave making it easier to get a lord out. The only issue is that you needed a way to dump 5 sabers into the grave fast.

Darkness metal wouldnt be as weird if it could use monsters with the same type and attribute in general. It will always annoy me that it cant use the original REBD as a material because REBD isnt an effect. Does that stop me from playing it? Nah it helps me get another body for rank 7 spame after i looped around BMD a lot but still sucks i HAVE to use triple burst instead of having that free slot

I love starry knight cards. They really need some support. Another good level 7 light dragon would do wonders for the archetype. One tht can return to hand to negate possibly. Also a new extradeck boss would be cool. Mabe one tht would let u summon starry night dragon and hopfully "new" negate dragon multiple times per turn

At this point, any obscure cards from those old booster sets will get retrains. They know which audiences will pay for it.
Mikazukinoyaiba, the Moon Fang Dragon doesn't search during the end phase. It's an ignition effect. HYPOTHETICALLY... You could use magnamhut to search it during the end phase, summon it, and then search for something else on your next turn, or your turn 0
What about that one card that Kaiba jammed a gun with in the anime that got retrained into Goddess of Sweet Revenge? Like it was made just because of that one Japan exclusive scene
