    We have had one for 10 months and it has worked well. Did a 2 month trip to cape york first month we used our big fridge as a freezer and drawer fridge as fridge second month switched them around and used drawer as freezer, caught fish and froze it kept every thing frozen had no trouble with the battery.

      @jeepinoz  Рік тому +1

      Maybe we were unfortunate enough to get a bad batch....it took about 5 days to freeze a bottle of water!!! Ours as a fridge work just fine so that might be their purpose maybe.

    Hey guys,
    Thanks for the honest review! We unfortunately had a very similar experience after purchasing and installing 2 of the drawer fridge/ freezers a few weeks ago and have been unable to find a place to leave a review to warn other potential buyers.
    Like yourselves we experienced very poor customer service and a complete lack of care/consideration by Kings. After driving an hour to the Dandenong to store and waiting 20 minutes in line to be served we were told that the drawers were out of stock, despite being listed in stock online and on the store floor. We were told that we could pre-order if we paid upfront and that they would be ready for pick up in around 5 months. We then contacted the call centre who said that they had stock in Townsville and that we would need to pay shipping. Later that evening my husband was using the online chat to discuss another matter and he found out that they did have stock in Dandenong, they were just sitting in the warehouse next door. The next day we again took the 2 hours round trip, purchased $100 worth of additional installation and mounting supplies and spent 2+ hours fitting the drawers.
    Our first trip was to the Victorian high country where the overnight temps were less than 5 and then day temps around 12. It took 5 days to partially freeze a bottle of water. When we attempted return the drawers we were told that they would need to be assessed and this would take 2+ weeks. Thankfully the girl was able to squeeze them in that day as we were leaving to go on the boat. When they were assessed one drawer was only getting down to 2 despite reading -10 and the other to -2.
    It's disappointing to spend so much money on something that will ultimately end up in landfill. The idea is there, hopefully they can make some improvements to their execution!

      Wow!! So sorry to hear of what you went through. Definitely a lot worse than our mess about that's for sure.
      It is such a shame, go back 12 months and Kings really were on their game but not these days.
      We had the same issue.....the screen says -10 but definitely not that in the cavity.
      At least it sounds like you guys managed to get things sorted in the end.
      Thanks for your feedback - nice to know we're not alone 🙂👍

    I have had both Evokol 40l and kings 30l fridge in around Brisbane and surround - their power consumption over a 48 hour period is very similar as a fridge set at about 5c- the evakol cools down a lot faster, much easier to hold a temp ( in the back of Prado) . Hi Ray ans Em,
    How many batteries do you run in the vehicle. The main reason I would run a deep cell battery as a second battery. Using the deep cell battery on a dual battery system. Where the two batteries are not connected to each other, yes they are charged by the one alternator.

    • @jeepinoz

      @graeme8755 Рік тому

      @@jeepinoz Hi Ray, My question is will the alternator charge the battery above 120 amps, if not you will be in strife.
      When I was in QLD I had an outback radio in my car, using a dual battery system to charge the deep cell battery and the CCB battery. Yes the CCB battery went flat outside of the Longreach. And the deep cell battery came to the rescue and a new battery.
      When I received the car back from the auto electrician he had mentioned that the current from the alternator had been increased due to the second battery.
      I was running a Engle fridge @ 3.5 amps, where the radio was pulling 18 amps on transmit.
