maybe they should become alcoholics so we can get some good videos in a few years, right now they are just a clothing brand with a podcast where they whine ang plug more shitty graphic Ts
Why would he see this... or care? Do you listen to them? I like mega64 but they have only gone downhill with time, your burn makes 0 sense. Be honest, are you genuinely looking forward to a fucking book by them? Or version 4? Or some new t shirt? Probably not its mainly just a podcast at this point, one that has only gotten more insufferable and redundant with time (corona didn't help, but essentially its the same shit we would of got before just without all the shitty convention plugs and gamedays) Mega64 is a podcast that people who listen to other alt comedy/podcasts find, and like mega64 themselves the fans always take themselves way too seriously with thin skin.
honestly any time i hear hate on mega 64 it’s funny, because it always makes the haters look lame. Case in point review tech usa and his thumbnail that became a shirt
For what it's worth I rarely laugh at cumtown. Only at their very best bits. But the mega64 boys make me laugh regularly. I love both, but if I had to choose it's very fucking easy. Mega64.
i've never listened to these guys before but after hearing this i probably never will. just sound like they lean on "cool" ironic detachment. Mega64 has something so unique that no other group on UA-cam has and it just sucks to hear these guys not even try to see it
I love both Mega64 and Cum Town, but its so funny watching Mega64 fans get so pissed at a comedy podcast making fun of their precious youtube boys. It's great really
Mega64 is funnier than cum town, but cum town have had some great bits. Like I’ve been listening to mega64 for maybe a decade. Rocco by himself has defined so much of the best of internet comedy. I have never made it all the way through an episode of cum town. Guess it’s up to who’s personality you like I guess, but still, the New York comedy snobbery of cum town just kinda sucks. But then that’s their whole scene. They’re haters, to each other and themselves. Mega64 is a dudes rock institution and it offends Mullen. Also people saying mega64 is worse now, comparing what to what? They haven’t released a public sketch in a while but it’s a pandemic. The podcast is the same. And they’ve expanded into sueded shit and the Shakespeare theatre stuff. They rock eternal.
Mega64 seems a lot more shill-y now than they used to be and their humor has gotten much tamer. Also on a side note, you can kinda tell Garrett is a """Cryptofascist""" cause he often sneaks in little dog whistles like "shut it down", but most of the time he says whatever is the most PC in fear of being shamed/cancelled. Maybe I'm wrong about Garrett though, obviously I don't really know him.
@@HornoCoraggio I disagree on them shilling stuff more. They hardly ever take advertisements. They’re making money selling their own stuff. Don’t care about that. And yeh they’re tamer but they’re also all older and imo sharper. The jokes are less broad. Their actual comedic writing had improved. And they’re expanding into doing live shows and apparently their tour was a complete success. Also totally wrong about Garret man. He’s a dead Kennedy’s anarchist edge lord. Garret and the rest of mega64 were Bernie guys pretty openly, though they tried not to be too political (a pointless thing to do currently, as the funniest shit has been at least politics adjacent recently). Then again they did have a pretty solid Biden bit a while back. They all have good politics, just don’t like thinking or talking about politics it seems. Can’t really blame them for that though
@@Neuroticmancer cryptofascist is the wrong term, you described him well with "Anarchist Edgelord" and punk rocker. a lot of punk people are turning more and more alt right as a big component of being punk is being counter-culture and most mainstream culture is lib left leaning (being counter culture used to be the same as being counter establishment, but this has changed in recent times, there is a great disconnect between establishment and culture nowadays). I dont think garrett is a nazi at all but hes definitely into some redpill stuff (he's had Charls Carroll on PPS a few times who is definitely into some redpill stuff, albeit not as much as sam hyde). I don't know given the semi-frequent dog whistles i cant help but suspect he is into some alt right stuff.
@@HornoCoraggio I seriously doubt it man. Like I think Garret is no more alt right than nick mullen, who I don’t think is alt right. They’re just anarchists with a bit of nihilism. this is pretty funny because mega64 was putting out great stuff at the same time Nick was a broke alcoholic in Houston

Never would I have thought they’d talk about Rocco Botte lmao
THE Rocco Bah-tay!
I don't like it when mommy and daddy fight
Sad day.

i want ur comment higher up and more visible
honestly any time i hear hate on mega 64 it’s funny, because it always makes the haters look lame. Case in point review tech usa and his thumbnail that became a shirt
what if his name was Rocco Bottom
Nick binging versions 1 through 3 and absolutely losing his shit at the "Bigger Boat" episode.
The crossover we deserve
I'm guess they just don't know who Mega64 is and got a hold of their DVD thinking it's trash. Who is even Cum Town?
Nick literally stumbled upon their Wiki page while reading up on Bulk and Skull from Power Rangers.
Also it's a funny podcast.
To be fair the Mega64 version DVDs are mostly not that great early attempts at making videos from a bunch of teenagers
Ask Bam Margera
for what its worth Rocco and Garrett do kinda look exactly like Bulk and Skull
this aint it chef
you hate to see it

I'm pretty sure garrett or derrick talked about cum town on their podcast once too
garrett mentioned cumtown once
Episode?

That dude with the annoying high pitched banshee cackle is insufferable
on paper it's definitely a cringey "nerd's wet dream" of a concept, but I bet the cum boys would get a real kick out of at least their Deus Ex sketch
Ouch, baby... very ouch
I don't think they would enjoy most mega64 vids just because some of them are too deep within gaming
and nick only knows snes games and rdr2
whenever i've seen the mega64 stuff on IMDB i always thought it was kinda selling them short. tbh the versions are my least favorite stuff they make
